Cape style home with 4 bedroom (2 rooms with queen beds on the first floor, 1 room with two double beds upstairs, and 1 room with three extra long twin beds upstairs), 2 full baths plus an enclosed outdoor shower, a fully functional kitchen with gas cooking, microwave, and several new stainless steel appliances, a dining room, basic cable TV, stereo, a washer and dryer in the basement, and wireless Internet. Located north of Rt. 6a on the bay side of the Cape, approximately ¾ of a mile from Grey’s Beach in Yarmouth Port. Grey’s is a very small, shallow inlet beach on the bay side with a long boardwalk that some people claim has the best sunsets. Close to many beautiful Dennis beaches and a short drive to Yarmouth's ocean beaches. There is a nice playground just down the road. If you are not familiar with the Cape, the North side of the Cape is quintessential, quaint, old Cape Cod. It is not commercialized but all of that is just a short drive away if you are looking for some action.
Absolutely loved our stay. Stayed here with my husband, two children (5 and nearly 3 years old) and my parents. Couldn't have been happier. Laura lovely to communicate with and speedy in replies/ returning deposit etc. House clean, spacious, well decorated and even better than photos in my view. Bedrooms particularly spacious. Well equipped. Loved visits to Grey's Beach (2 minute drive or short walk) to catch crabs and go wadding to 'treasure islands' in the day and to watch the most stunning sunsets in the evenings, and to Dennis Pond (5 minute drive) nearby for wonderful child safe fresh water swimming. Would highly recommend this rental.
This property was wonderful! It has a true cape feel and everything you need to enjoy your vacation! We loved the firepit and the outdoor shower! The living space is very clean and comfortable! We would definitely stay here again with out family! Thanks, Laura, for sharing your home!
We really enjoyed our stay in Yarmouth Port. The house was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need; unlike numerous places we've been before. Brand new top of the line appliances. Huge fridge, awesome washer and dryer, great dishwasher. The outdoor shower with hot water was great when coming back from the beach. The bedrooms were a good size with lots of storage. The kids bedroom was very spacious. Location was central with easy drive to restaurants and major beaches. Grey's beach was a disappointment. We ended up driving to the beach (either Mayflower or Corporate) but were unprepared for the daily cost of parking and the fact that you have to get there well before 9am or the parking lot is full. They were both beautiful beaches, perfect for toddlers.
This was the first time my family went on vacation together - and what an excellent choice it was! The house was perfect and had plenty of space for 6 adults and 5 children. The neighborhood was quiet and easy to take walks/runs through the neighborhood. The outdoor shower was the hit of the week for both the adults and the children. The kitchen is well furnished with pots, pans, coffee pot, utensils - everything that you could possibly need. The kids were thrilled about the playground that was up the street that we spent many hours at during the week. The backyard had plenty of room to sit back and relax either by the fire pit or at the table while the kids played in the yard. The grill was easily accessible as well. The house is also situated in a perfect location - to get on/off the highway, get to the beaches and shopping. It was truly a central location that you can get anywhere you wanted very easy. First family vacation and also the first vacation to the Cape - it was an awesome experience and we had such a great time. Laura, the owner, was also very helpful with providing information of places around, where to go for dinner and just things to see. If your considering a visit - don't hesitate - it is well worth the money and the trip!!!!! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did - I am sure that we will be back soon.
Really well maintained house, a bit hot on the lower level, but upper rooms have AC. New kitchen and nice backyard.
Not too far from the Beach but you have to drive. The sushi restaurant in town is Amazing (we have been there many times before).
The photos were accurate but everything was even nicer than expected! The two upstairs rooms were spacious. The entire first floor had a warm New England feel. The house was spotless and every room was eye-pleasing! The kitchen was fully equipped and the dining room was cozy. The backyard fire pit was wonderful! Gray's Beach was nice to walk/bike to, but for staying at the beach it's nice to have your car and parking is free. Having kayaks let us paddle across to the end of Chapin Beach which was beautiful! You can also walk across at low tide, but need a plan for getting back. Sunset at Gray's is amazing, but bring bug spray! We went walking, biking, kayaking, whale watching, swimming, and exploring, and never turned on the TV. We almost hoped for a rainy day to enjoy the nice collection of DVD's, games and books in the living room. This was a great family vacation for my husband and me, and our grown children with their spouses/partners.
Other Activities: Walk to Cape Cod Bay, Bass Hole Boardwalk and Grey's Beach. Plenty of Conservation, walking trails, and picnic areas.
