Wailuku Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

This is the place for you....direct oceanfront....with the surf, turtles and whales right in front of you! Sit on your oceanfront lanai and have a front row seat!

This location is a also golfers paradise! This condo is centrally located to numerous golf courses all provided to you upon reservation.

Located in the desirable Village of Ma'alaea on the Island of Maui this one bedroom, one bath condo is new to the vacation rental market.

Not only is Ma'alaea a central location to all the golf courses, it's a small village on a dead-end road that features a 5-mile white sandy beach at one end and a small harbor with boats to take you snorkeling, whale watching, on sunset cruises or deep sea fishing at the other end.

There's no highway noise, strip malls or traffic on our street....just the residents who live here and the guests visiting.

The whales are a special treat. Relaxing on the lanai during the months of November through April, you will be entertained by the humpback whales who have returned to Maui from summering in Alaska. For the last 2 years we have all watched a mother give birth to a calf and then watch as she spends the rest of the season teaching her calf how to swim, breech and have fun. All this visible right from the lanai.

Year-round there are turtles bobbing their heads just before sunrise and you'll also see the occasional endangered monk seal sunning on the rocks in front of the condo.

This condo is fully equipped with beach chairs and towels, books to read on the beach, movies to watch while you are at home relaxing, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, a panoramic view of the ocean in front of you with Haleakala (our volcano) in the background.

You'll find all the supplies you'll need such as paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, dish detergent, garbage bags, soap...and more. There's even a washer-dryer right in the condo so you don't even have to bring many clothes with you.

It's the only condo building on the street with covered parking and it's assigned so your parking spot is waiting for you each time you return home.

Check our calendar, get away from the cold, rain ice and snow....call with a deposit and get on that plane to de-stress, enjoy the warmth and sunshine and to recharge your batteries.

Keywords: condo, vacation, oceanfront, water view, whale watching, swimming, surfing, boating, special price, fully equipped, high floor, lanai, free parking

Guestbook comments from the manager

Was well appointed and centrally located. Be sure to take advantage of the bus (daily pass only $4) and Beach Bums as a great stop and happy hour. Try renting a Harley in Lahaina for $100 a day to check out the coast or walk along the beaches/hotels of Wailea.

Thank you for providing the amenities to let us be as lazy and as adventurous as we wanted.

Mahalo, Aloha and Mau No Ka Oi!

PS The pull out couch is a great oceanfront bed!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This listing was the perfect balance for us. We were looking for somewhere nice, yet affordable. This condo met both. We also needed a condo that had a balcony that faced the ocean, preferably close. The view from this condo is amazing. We loved it and spent much time just chilling. I didn't measure, but would guess that the water is less than 30 feet from the building. This condo is on the 3rd floor.

The location is right by the harbor and the maui aquarium. It is nice in that respect, since it is central to everything. You could easily walk to either. There are some stores close by if you needed supplies. Beach bums restaurant is also within walking distance. We couldn't find any other restaurant close, besides the one at the aquarium. The pizza place was closed for remodeling. The one that used to be in the condo building and the Italian place seem to be closed for good.

The condo itself is located on a dead end street, which is nice since the only traffic is others who are staying at one of the condos, or someone who is very lost. There was some construction on the entrance/parking to our condo, but it was never a problem. The condo has a covered parking garage and a specified parking spot. That part was nice. I appreciated not having to worry or fight for parking. Just make sure you don't back into the parking spot. We did and got a warning note on our car. I didn't understand that, but hey, whatever. There were shopping carts to help carry stuff up to the condo. We actually used them several times. We went shopping the second day, for groceries and such at Walmart. Plastic bags are banned on Maui, so you have to purchase reusable ones when shopping. They are only 50 cents, so no big deal. We left ours for others to use in one of the cupboards.

The condo itself opens up to a long hallway with the bedroom on the left, then the bathroom, also on the left and then the kitchen and front room and then the balcony. There is air conditioning and it works pretty well, especially for the front room and kitchen. It seems to struggle to get the air flow to the bedroom. We were told that this year has been extra hot in Maui and that usually there are trade winds that keep everything cool. We agreed with the extra hot part and didn't experience the cool part.

The condo was well stocked to get us started and we loved the pineapple and bread! Very appreciated! Mahalo.

Exceeded our expectations!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Maui and couldn't have been luckier to have found this rental. Since it was our first trip I had no idea where to stay and figured it would be a learning experience if nothing else. Well, I learned that I made the best decision to stay here. The condo is just perfect.

You will see pictures of other places that have granite counters and this or that but this place just felt like home. The views are just wonderful. The kitchen was very well stocked, everything you needed. The bed in the bedroom was nice and comfy and the closets very well stocked (towels, coolers, etc) for days at the beach or at the small beach just out back. Besides the view, one of the nicest surprises was how comfy the pull out sofabed was! I actually considered making our daughter sleep in the bedroom so we could sleep on it! Plus you get the sounds of the waves crashing at night and the cool breezes too. We had a wonderful welcome basket waiting for us in the fridge. The sunrise from Haleakala is incredible from the lanai. I saw lots of turtles and even a whale spout! The condo is not huge, but it is the perfect size for 2-3 people, maybe 4 if you don't mind having the living room as a bedroom.

The condo is in a great location. It was so easy to make our way around the island from here. You also have a great little boat harbor right next door with a good pizza place and beach bar. There is also a General Store which is open for breakfast & lunch. Heard good things but we didn't eat there, this trip. Also a small store in the next building down. They are super friendly. You can also do whale watching cruises and snorkeling trips right from the harbor. We did a few tours with the Pacific Whale Foundation. If you are going to be there for a bit of time may be worth while to become a member and save on your excursions with them.

Must see's/do's...the Road to Hana, get up at 2:30 AM & drive to the Haleakala Summit for sunrise (dress warmly, bundle up), Surfing Goat Dairy (if you love goats & cheese), whale watching and if you have time & are adventurous, do the drive around the southside and the north west side of Maui. CRAZY ride! Really, it is hard on the nerves and can be dangerous, but we saw great sights. Mama's Fish House in Paia was the best meal, ever. It was $$$, but worth it. Make reservations or go for lunch. We also enjoyed The Gazebo & Leoda's in Lahina.

Most of all, enjoy the condo and the incredible views and relax. We will be back to stay.

A wonderful month!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this perfectly located and perfectly appointed condo for a month. Everything was in good repair and very comfortable. The rental manager was responsive and available to answer questions. There were no bad surprises and the wonderful surprise to have a great view of the whales and turtles. We would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable accomodations

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I came to Hawaii looking for a nice place that was comfortable as well as quiet. The accomodations at the Milowai exceeded those expectations. The condo had everything we needed that we couldn't fit in our suitcases. Including boogie boards, sand chairs, and beach towels. The full kitchen was very useful and very much enjoyed when we didn't want to eat out. The balcony gave us a view of the entire Ma' alaea bay. On most evenings we enjoyed watching the green sea turtles bob up and down in the shallow waters. Also, Barbara, thanks so much for the banana bread. It was excellent. Very nice welcoming gift. I don't believe it lasted more than a couple of days. We will make sure to look you up on our next visit.

great stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 4 nights in June and loved every minute. The condo was gorgeous and incredibly well equipped. We couldn't think of anything we needed that wasn't already provided. We put the small cooler to good use - how nice to have one. Our drive to the summit and the road to Hana were highlights. The condo is in a great central location. The bed couldn't have been more comfortable and the constant breeze was delightful. Our first trip to Maui was terrific. We would definitely stay in this unit again. Barbara is the best to work with, and really spoiled us with coffee and banana bread and a pineapple waiting for us on arrival! Thanks again for a wonderful place to stay.
