About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 5

Americade and Fireman's Convention take note!!! It's a little slice of heaven nestled on the banks of the Hudson River in the Adirondack Region of Upstate New York. With easy access to the Adirondack Northway, it is conveniently located one exit from Lake George and is a short 20 minute drive to Saratoga and it's infamous race track. With nearly six acres of private woodlands, babbling brooks and exquisite views of the mountains, this unique setting is truly a special hide-a-way that will enchant and relax all visitors. The bank of the river is just a few short steps from the porch and beckons to be joined by boat, canoe, kayak, or a daring dive into the crystal clean water. Wildlife of all species abounds in its natural habitat unspoiled by intruders and protected forever by

the Adirondack Trust. It is truly a private, enchanting environment and play land for a family vacation with something to do for everyone and every interest.

We have one paddle boat, three rowboats, 5 new kayaks, and one canoe available for rent at $30 each per day or $100 each weekly. Electric motors can be rented for an additional $50 per week. The river is not rough at all and the cabin is situated on a private cove which opens to a large lake-like area (see photos). It is clean and abounds with fish if you like to fish. We have hiking trails, bike trails, swimming, and virtually every kind of outdoor activity you might like within 5-10 minutes.

Awesome hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Great hideaway right on water. Hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, and Travers Stakes. Close to everything, but nestled like you are near nothing. We enjoyed immensely. Dave was great source of info, and incredibly accommodating. Didn't really want to write such a review, as we don't want such a perfect place to be rented next year, when we will return.....a nice cottage next door can also be rented.....Dave, we may try to rent both next year with a larger now our friends want to partake in the true Adirondack experience!

Great Place!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place right on the river . It is beautiful and quiet, yet so close to everything(attractions, activities, restaurants). This cottage was clean and provided everything you need to have a comfortable stay, plus provides activities that you can enjoy on the river. We loved it, we only had a few days but hope to go back next year for a week. The owner David was super nice, he help us with any needs that we had. Thanks David. We would recommend this cottage to all are family and friends

Awesome, wonderful place to get away from it all!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this quaint cottage for a week and loved it here so much I just HAD to stay there for my second vacation about a week and a half later. Everything is as advertised and then some :-) and David took care of everything I needed to have an awesome vacation! As other reviewers before me have put it, David is a great person, extremely nice and helpful in every way and I could not say enough good things about him.

The view is awesome and learning to kayak was really fun, along with nighttime campfires under the stars and an abundance of wildlife and so much more things to do. It was extremely peaceful and quiet and I plan to come up here next year for another awesome experience! The cottage had everything I needed, was clean and well kept, and did not disappoint in the least. Nothing beats waking up and looking out the window at a calm lake in the morning with mountains and forest as the background.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get away from it all you will not regret it. Thank you David!

Cozy cottage relaxing riverside.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is in a great location right on Big Bay, Hudson river. It's a lake-like setting with mountain views. Secluded and serene, but just minutes to all the activities off the Northway. Cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable weeks stay, including WiFi. We canoed to a sandy beach to swim, and fished right off our own dock. So much to do, or great for doing not much at all. David was a most helpful and knowledgable host. We'll be back, with our dogs, who loved it too.

Anniversary get away

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I wanted to get away for our 46th anniversary and found this cottage online. I can't say enough about David........I have never met such a nice person while renting a place. He wasn't pushy about the balance of the fact I had to call him the day we were leaving so we could pay him. The place was just what we were looking for quiet and serene. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away. Thank you David for your kindness.
