Nice relaxing stay in Cabo San Jose
We enjoyed our month stay at Mira Vista Condo complex. The pool was perfect, the sound of the waves was relaxing and the hospitality of other condo owners was exceptional. The unit we stayed in looks directly at the ocean. Had only a few minor issues when we arrived, the owner was very receptive and had the problem corrected immediately. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, this condo complex is the answer. We used Uber for going out to dinner and etc. with no problems.
My husband and I stayed at this property for 10 days and could have stayed for another 10! We never tired of the spectacular ocean view from the living room or balcony. There is enough sun to sit on the balcony until noon or so. Many of the other units do not have as much sun as Mira Vista #8 does! It was very well equipped and clean. We rented a car, although I would think that if you don't have a car, you will be able to get around just fine on the buses or Uber. We loved shopping at La Comer which is a 2 minute drive ( if you don't miss the exit). They have fresh fish that is fileted in front of you. The red snapper was delicious! The pastry and bread portion of the store is unbelievable! Lots of good pre-prepared foods. Groceries in Mexico are much less in price than those in the U.S. I found that eating out is not so much of a bargain as it used to be. ( this is our 4th visit since 2016). Favorite things to do: Lupita's for the orange margaritas, Flora Farms for a wonderful dinner with hibiscus margaritas, Free Cabo Tour of San Jose Del Cabo from Kris, Ribera for lunch at Efran's, Cooking class at Los Tamarindos ( overpriced and more of a demonstration rather than hands on cooking ), taco's at T's near the marina, watching the boats come in with fresh catches and lots of beach walks! My only suggestion would be to have a guest book in the unit ( I always find these great for activity and restaurant tips) and instructions regarding the water bottle replacement!
Mira Vista is 30-some-year-old small condo development that is maintained like a five-star resort. It is quite unbelievably spectacular. Every unit has a private balcony from which you overlook the manicured grounds and pool, and look out at the sea and a portion a 3-mile-long broad and uncrowded beach. There is an unobstructed view of the sunrise every morning.
This unit is on the second floor, up one flight of stairs. It is equipped with everything needed - from dishes and cookware to beach towels, folding beach chairs and a beach umbrella. There is an amply sized flat screen TV and Netflix. The couch, by the way, is a recliner.
The unit does not have a local land-line phone.
The development demographic skews toward retirement age, or at least mature adult. It is not family unfriendly, but the children who have been guests while we were there have been supervised and well-behaved.
The regulations for the development are conspicuous on the table just inside the door and should be read and heeded.
The only caveat we have regarding location relates to the major local highway and its traffic bordering the back side of the property. With the door and bedroom window closed the traffic noise is unobtrusive. With either or both open it will be heard.
During a month-long stay we had a couple of minor issues which were resolved promptly. The owners' email responses to questions came within hours.
Even though San Jose del Cabo is a long haul from the Northeast corner of the US, we would return in a heartbeat.
Amazing Views, A Wonderful Place To Relax
My wife and I just spend 9 amazing days at this property. The photos say it all. Whale watching from the balcony walking distance to the la Cormer grocery down the beach 25 minutes if you’re so inclined. Bus service at the front of the complex. We did Cabo by bus, very reasonable. We would definitely stay again. Owners were always available for any questions.
Great location, amazing view!
We had a great time here, small complex, mostly retired adults. The pool is great and the beach in front is never crowded. Watching the sunrises, listening to the waves, and surfers from the terrace was very relaxing. We didn’t have a car and chose to take the local buses from the front of the complex to where we wanted to go, the La Comer store which had all our needs is about a mile or so away. The only negative is the busy road, which creates road noise from the bedroom, but it is offset by the sound of waves from the living room. We loved our stay!
