My family stayed at this property a few weeks ago for a week long stay. Property was in excellent location with a short walk (15 minutes) to several beaches and the main Rehoboth boardwalk. While walking to the boardwalk you literally walk the entire "main avenue - Rt. 1" length. Something we would normally do in order to browse the shops/bars and restaurants and grab drinks/food. The house was very large and spacious, much more than I anticipated viewing the pictures. Nicely decorated as well with many convenient accessories and conveniences provided to rental customers (iPod hookup, bar accessories, pool items etc…). Kitchen was fantastic with amenities much needed at a vacation rental such as the dual dishwashers. Everything was conveniently labeled for us (and not in a gaudy/over the top fashion that I have seen in certain homes). The Pool was slightly smaller than expected, but was still more than sufficient for our small group of ~6 adults. Most of the family shuttled back and forth from pool to built-in Sauna. Both worked flawlessly, with the built in heater for the pool keeping us very comfortable in the evenings. The system warmed the pool up in very short order going from air temp of ~78 to 92 in virtually no time. System was easy to use with the guides provided by the owner. The backyard and screened in porch were decorated very nicely and the landscaping was also very well done. You are located near Rt. 1, but with the natural sound barriers of the 10-12 ft. trees blocking 98% of the natural road sounds and 100% visual barrier. Only the loudest, most obnoxious vehicles/motorcycles made any entry into the backyard (none into the home). Most of this was then mitigated by a great backyard sound system tied into the homes fully wired entertainment unit in the living room. Bedding was also excellent and very comfortable. Quality mattresses most have been used because everyone raved about the great sleep they had (contrasting our normal sleeping aches and pains from stays at beach rentals and hotels). The homeowner was also very friendly, helpful and communicative throughout the rental process and during our stay. All transactions were performed efficiently and quickly and he even kindly returned a pair of designer sunglasses that I had neglected to locate prior to leaving the property. This was a fantastic vacation in wonderful home at a great location. It was a little pricey, but in the end worth every penny. Looking forward to our next stay and I
This property is lovely, with extraordinary amenities and a solid, easy-to-navigate location. Frankly, the pictures do not do it justice - the interior is decorated with care and a sense of calm design - neither overly beachy nor faux luxurious. I loved my stay and I hope to rent this house for Thanksgiving next year and make it an annual event!
There were four HUGE bedrooms, each with a large individual bathroom and television. Guests wanting a little quiet time had a cocoon with ample personal space - there was also upstairs decking for private coffee moments. There was an upstairs conversation area (that could serve as spillover sleep space with its pullout couch) for informal discussions - or as my medical student nephew decided - a great spot to download lectures from the house WIFI and keep an eye on four months of laundry washing and drying. We had an elderly couple with limited mobility - the front entry stairs were minimal and the downstairs bedroom was a perfect "grandparent room."
But the common areas were superlative - from the front porch, to the upstairs deck, to the (ever-essential) screened-in-porch. Sunlight blazed through the windows, giving the home a lovely, natural light that cheered us even as winter descended. Sadly, we could not enjoy the outer areas as much because the weather went north, so I could only imagine sitting in the pool in the summer months.
But it was Thanksgiving and we used the kitchen. A lot. Note to other vertically-challenged renters - there is a step stool in the hall closet and you will need it to reach some of the kitchen materials. The kitchen was so beautiful and well-designed that it took about 45 minutes off our Thanksgiving prep time - we were done too early! And the dining room table comfortably sits more people than the house accommodates.
We enjoyed just sitting and watching the parade on TV, doing a puzzle in front of the fireplace, taking a bike ride, or walking to the boardwalk (15 minutes for the average adult without lingering). At night, we wandered down Rehoboth Avenue and looked at the lights and the stars and stopped off for the odd drink.
The owner was nice as nice could be to deal with - I had a minor issue that was actually a town-wide problem with the electricity and reported it to him and he got back to me right away with a complete explanation. He mailed the security deposit back right away and there were no problems otherwise.
It was our second time renting this house, and me and my family had an amazing time as usual. The house is always nicely decorated and up to date, had amazing amenities. The location is amazing, close enough to walk to everything, and a park across the street for my little one, but also far enough where you do not have to deal with the crowds of people. The owners had everything covered, from parking passes, to maintenance of the pool, etc. Definitely would recommend.
We spent a week in August at this beautiful beach house. It was very spacious and was plenty of room for two families (4 adults and 6 kids total). The pool and hot tub in the backyard are fantastic! Our kids spent hours upon hours there. It was also a great place to lounge when the 100+ degree heat made the beach unbearable. The owners have labeled everything in the house for ease of use. It also has an awesome built in speaker system throughout the house as well as outside at the pool. The kitchen contains anything and everything you would need if you decided to cook dinner. It is one block off of Rehoboth Avenue and walkable to every restaurant and shop. The house also comes with 4 permits which made it great to drive to the beach everyday and not have to worry about parking.
This house is simply perfect. The open space, high ceilings, beautiful furnishings and relaxing backyard oasis made our honeymoon absolutely wonderful. We married on the beach, and decided to stay in Rehoboth for the week following the Big Day. We had two other couples staying with us, tremendous friends we wanted to celebrate with. Every morning we enjoyed the hot tub. Some of us had coffee, others mimosas. It was a great way to start the day. We walked everywhere because the home is well positioned for strolls to shops, restaurants and bars. After being out for a while, we'd return home and hop in the pool. After a short nap, which you will love taking because the beds are sooooo comfortable, it was off to happy hour and dinner. After taking in some of the local DJs, we would return home and end the evening on the back screen porch, sharing stories with a nightcap. Of course we had a few beach days and strolls along the boardwalk. But it was always so nice to know that the home provided for the ideal place to rest, refresh and even entertain. We had some family over for an impromptu cookout using the backyard grill. Did I mention that even the bathrooms are amazing? Also, there is a private outdoor shower if needed. John and Ron were great to work with and left us a nice bottle of bubbly to celebrate with. The home is large enough for large families, groups of friends, but it always has a homey feeling. We've found our forever Rehoboth vacation home!!!
My wife and I rented this fabulous home during the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival along with four friends. We absolutely love this house! The layout easily accommodated our group with plenty of privacy (each bedroom has an en suite bath) and there is a very spacious great room/kitchen area for "hanging out". The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped with all of the amenities you could possibly need. The kitchen is well stocked. There's a lovely back screened-in porch and a very private pool in the backyard. The house is located one block off Rehoboth Avenue and a 15 minute walk to the beach. We found the owners very helpful and friendly. My wife and I visit Rehoboth fairly regularly (at least twice a year) and this is by far the best house we have had the pleasure of renting. We will definitely rent this house again!
The house is located next to Grove Park which is great for kids! For the adults, every Tuesday during the summer Grove Park hosts the Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market.
