Enjoyed our stay!

  • 4 of 5

The house is really nice. We really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend renting it. We did have a small issue with the grill as it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time and causeed a giant grease fire when we tried to use it. No worries though, I took it apart and cleaned it all out. We also didn't care for the fact that there was a dead rodent next to the pool and a spit cup on the coffee table. The trash pile at the end of the driveway was a bit of an eye sore as well. The owner was very accommodating and ordered the mayweather fight for us.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our weekend at this house and were so thankful for a great place to stay with our family. The house was plenty big for all of us (6 adults and 6 kids) and the outdoor pool and kitchen were amazing. Pretty view of the lake too! Would definitely love to come back!

This home has maintenance, cleanliness, and rodent issues.

  • 3 of 5

I rented this home July 27-30 for myself and 7 friends for a girls weekend. What a disappointment! The home is beautiful but the stereo system did not work properly, hot tub had no heat, dead bugs on window sills in kitchen and in upstairs bathroom tub, and a MOUSE in the house! The homeowner was notified. He was not sure how to get the stereo working for us but did send someone over to set mouse traps and check the hot tub. His representative confirmed that the hot tub was not working properly. The area between the pool and dock is completely over run with weeds...we did not even venture out there.

Relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 days of extremely hot weather, the 100's, and it was great! The backyard was a plus, since the covered outdoor kitchen with grill, sink and running water and ice maker was outside with plenty of room for all of us to relax in the shade. Every evening we made a fire in the fireplace outside and made s'mores. But most of the time we were in the wonderful pool and spa playing with the kids. We only went to the Granbury beach in town once, and although nice, we preferred the convenience of our pool. The owner had an air hockey game in the garage. Young and old enjoyed it thoroughly! Kitchen was well equipped. The ice makers inside and outside weren't working, but my son fixed the outside one and we were never without ice, since the refrigerator inside the house was not making ice. The property is listed as 4 bedrooms, but the "loft" or play area is really counted as a bedroom. Our 10 yr old grandson thought he died and went to heaven, because he had that whole HUGE room to himself, since the 2 granddaughters chose to use the room with the trundle bed. The loft room is really big and you could sleep lots of kids in it. The only downside is the one bathroom upstairs that 7 people had to share. The 1/2 bath downstairs really helped that situation. But if the owner ever thought about remodeling, I'd suggest using a portion of that loft room with the open area upstairs and convert it to another bathroom. The Master bedroom downstairs with King bed was extremely roomy and the closet unbelievably large with dressers in it. The King bedroom upstairs was nicely done and it had it's own porch overlooking the backyard and lake. The Queen bedroom however could use a new mattress and could have used some night stands on both sides of the bed for a glass of water or clocks/electronic devices like phones, iPads etc. The kids fished from the boat dock. A man in a kayak said that crappie fishing is very good in that area. We tried to rent a pontoon boat for all of us, but was discouraged by the marina saying that you had to keep to the channel because there were too many submerged trees from the marina to our rental and that it would take an hour to get the pontoon boat to our dock assuming we didn't hit any trees. So not knowing the area, we didn't take the chance and enjoyed the backyard instead. The house was clean except for sticky spills in the refrigerator. I cleaned it and then put in my food. In spite of those few things, it's 5 stars.
