About Chris Cachia
Holiday Villas Malta is a family run enterprise and we strive to provide Holiday accommodation that is unique, typical of Maltese warmth and hospitality, and above all of very high standards. We take personal care in ensuring that our Villas provide all the expected amenities and personally handle tenant issues. The Villas were designed and built by the owner, Chris Cachia, an architect by profession with a keen eye for aesthetic detail as well as an expert in Maltese architecture. Chris has ensured that the Villas retain the local style in both design and the authentic building materials used. They are all built to high standards, with large rooms and wide open spaces. Chris gave special attention to natural lighting and ventilation to ensure that the occupant enjoys the Maltese sunshine even when indoors. Mrs. Josette Cachia, the owner's wife handles client queries and manages the day to day running of the Villas which includes managing a team of plumbers, electricians, pool maintenance staff, cleaners and so on. The Cachia's home is very close to the Villas and they are always prepared to help.

The foliage spoils the grandeur of the whole pool area potential and stops the pool from heating as very limited sunlight direct but mainly for the visitor's sunbathing and general enjoyment area at rear of house.
Peace and tranquility
We had a lovely stay at Villa Sky with the family (9 of us). The villa is in a very peaceful little town with farmland and countryside around it.
The rooms were very spacious and had their own bathrooms which was a huge plus.
We loved the welcome package left in the fridge on arrival.
The pool and garden are bigger than what is represented in the pictures which was a huge relief. I think the wide angle shot made the pool look smaller somehow but it's actually a good size.
There is on street parking for the villa out front or there is a few spaces around the side which we used more often. I would say hiring a car would be beneficial to see more of the places around the villa as Zetjun is quite quiet. Also, with the car we went to Lidl (10 min drive away) and did a big shop for the week which I'd recommend doing. There are other shops nearby like the butcher which is also great for getting BBQ food at a great price.
Only thing I could complain about was that the AC is a must at night if you are not used to hot temperatures. We had to top it up every night to get a good sleep and the rate that it used up the credit was very fast when all rooms were using the AC.
Thanks for having us and hopefully visit Villa Sky and Malta again!
Dear Ross we thankyou for choosing our villa and for being wonderful guests throughout. It is such a pleasure to have guests like you in our villas and we look forward in welcoming you back any time!
The property is located on the outskirts of Zetjun in a rural location a short drive from Marsaskala and the picturesque town of Marsaxlokk. The owners were very helpful advising of local amenities and places to visit when we arrived but a car is essential in our opinion. The villa was well equipped, although is a little tired in places.
Hi Paul, thank you for your feedback and for choosing our villa. You are more than welcome to stay any time again as it was our pleasure to accommodate all of you.
Perfect family holiday location
Arranged to have our 50th Wedding Anniversary at Sky Villa with 3 generations of the family. Josette met us on the first day with lots of useful information on local shops and restaurants plus details of tours around Malta that could be arranged.
The villa itself is very nice with large bedrooms and lots of bath/shower rooms. The outside area is even better with a barbeque area next to the pool where we had all our breakfasts and dinners. The pool is deceptively large with depths of 1.2m to 1.7m so the grandchildren spent most of the day, every day, splashing around.
The two closest coastal towns, Marsascala and Marsaxlokk (pronounced Marsashlok) are well worth visiting particularly Marsaxlokk on market days.
The villa is in a quiet area and bus stops are 5 to 10 minutes walk away, however,
if you want to see more of Malta it's probably worthwhile hiring a car which are relatively cheap.
We would certainly recommend staying at Sky Villa to our friends and maybe return for more Wedding Anniversaries.
Dear Mr. Stephenson,
We thank you for your positive feedback and mostly for choosing our villa! Our mission is to make the best out of the holiday for our guests. We look forward in welcoming you again.
We were in Malta for the first time for our son's wedding. Our first two nights were in a lovely hotel but once we all moved to the four villas, rented from the same owner, we felt so much more relaxed and at home. Villa Sky was just lovely and we felt it was a great treat to stay there. The small, picturesque pool made the rear courtyard the favourite part of the house. There was plenty of space inside and all our friends and family were in close proximity in equally lovely properties. Good value for money too,
Thank you for your lovely comments. It was a great pleasure having you all at our villas and we are glad that the wedding celebrations were a success. We look forward to welcoming you once again in the future.
The best of luck!
We decided to spend Christmas in Malta this time to get away from the cold back home. I must say we were not disappointed. This villa was indeed beautiful, built in typically Maltese old style yet with all modern facilities. We really enjoyed staying here. The weather was splendid and enabled us to go round the island and visit the many beautiful places on the island. Would definitely book this place again.
Marsascala offers you a relaxed atmosphere while still boasting a myriad of activities. The immediate area includes a number of well known restaurants and entertainment venues. Be it a quick snack or a full blown fish banquet, it is only a short drive away. You can walk along the picturesque promenade while on your way to dinner and get to know the locals who will undoubtedly be coming from or going to the same restaurants. An evening walk or an early morning job along the popular Marsascala promenade is an experience in itself.
Marsascala is also very close to the old town of Zejtun which is a typical Maltese Village surrounding a church. At Zejtun you can truly experience the Maltese way of living. The well know fishing village of Marsaxlokk is also close by. Like Marsacala, this village is much sought after for its fish restaurants. Marsaxlokk is very popular with tourists and locals alike for its fresh fish market which is set up every morning. You should reserve a morning for a stroll through this busy market and enjoy seeing fresh Mediterranean fish being sold and then order a fish lunch in one of the many restaurants that encircle the picturesque bay. The bay is usually full of traditional Maltese fishing boats unless you visit during a time when the fishermen are out fishing of course!
