Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 1928
Stayed here with another couple and kids aged 4 months to 4 years. Had a terrific time. There is no fence between the lawn/deck and the lake, so families with kids will want to keep an eye on the little ones. The amenities in the house are terrific! The lake is still low, but I'm sure the property would be great for boating when the dam improvements are completed.
Great place, clean and very quiet area. We stayed here while on business for the Mopar Nationals.
The house was great. We struggled with the house not cooling down. There were blinds secured inside the front windows that once discovered helped tremendously. It might be helpful to a future renter to have them drawn upon arrival or a note included in the instructions of their location. We thought the cleaning fee was excessive given the amount of clean up asked of us in the checkout instructions. The deck space and furniture was great as well as the available dishes, small kitchen appliances and laundry.
This was a great experience from start to finish! Booking was easy and the rental company kept us informed throughout the entire process. The property was well-maintained and clean. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and the washer and dryer were very new and nice! Great laundry room! Good storage! Lots of paper products and cleaning supplies! All you need is your food and clothes! It is a comfortable house and yes, the photos did accurately reflect the property's appearance and amenities. The best part was the owner's willingness to speak with us as often as needed to answer questions and modify some of the plans for our stay; she was very friendly and accommodating and sincerely wanted us to have a great long weekend. The house is situated on a quiet little water "cul de sac" leading out to easy access of the lake! There was a boat ramp very near-by to launch our boat! Very pretty double lot with some nice green yard space. Plenty of parking! The lake is BEAUTIFUL with plenty to do and lots of marinas, a winery, restaurants, and stores. It is very easy to find and a great location off the highway and on the lake! We will definitely go back and have already recommended it to our other boating friends! The only drawback: some sites advertised the house as having 2 bathrooms which is not entirely true. There is a bath and a half; so one half bath upstairs and one full bath downstairs. It still gets an excellent rating in my book!
