About Myung Pulver
We stumbled upon our Leatherwood Mountains home site one day on our way back home to California after a long RV trip. It was a love at first sight. We made an offer on the property the next day. We moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2003 and started planning our projects. Burdette is a retired Architect and I am a retired construction manager and architectural designer. It has been a rewarding experience to build unique mountain cabins. We have completed our permanent home in the mid 2012 and living here in Leatherwood Mountains all year around. We love to wake up in our mountains and see the tall trees, rocky creek, deer and turkeys just outside the windows. We found the gardening a challenge in the mountains but we like working at it.
Why Myung Pulver chose Ferguson
It feels like you are in a National Forest with natural surroundings. You drive through miles of quiet private roads not seeing many houses along the way. This property is within a private gated community which offers a sense of security and shared amenities such as swimming pool and tennis courts.
What makes this Cabin unique
There is an independently owned resort business just outside of our subdivision. The Leatherwood Mountains Resort operates vacation home rentals for absentee owners, horseback riding, stables and a seasonal restaurant.

Short but Devine!
We had a short stay at this beautiful mountain retreat, but it was a lovely one. Ms. Pulver is such a sweet and accommodating host. We arrived a little unprepared for how remote it was, so she offered us some provisions from her very own refrigerator to get us through the evening and the next morning. She was also very available to help with any concerns and quick to respond.
The house is just beautiful and makes for a truly inspiring and luxurious retreat for two. We were able to truly unplug and enjoy the crisp mountain air.
Just be forewarned, that the drive in can be a bit treacherous if you are not an experienced mountain driver. If we go again we may rent a different vehicle, as I was pretty terrified at times in my husband's giant pickup. Not the best choice for some very tight, steep switchbacks!
Great cabin with all the amenities you could need. A little off the beaten path but well worth the trip.
Awesome cabin. Could not have asked for better time or place to spend a long weekend. Never left cabin. Between the view, hot tub, fireplace and jacuzzi tub did not want to leave. Even rain and snow could not prevent me and my better half from having a wonderful time. Definitely relaxed and re-energized. Will definitely be back.
Awesome place to relax and unwind
This is a beautiful cabin with excellent accommodations. Everything you use is well documented. The view and privacy is first class! We will definitely come back.
Beautiful and tranquil space
We loved our stay at Viewpoint Cabin over Christmas. The pictures online did not do the place justice. It’s so beautifully built and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to make Christmas dinner and more. We loved the house so much we didn’t leave once we were there except to take a few walks around the property. The hot tub was fantastic and was so nice to enjoy in the morning with a cup of coffee and at night under the stars. I highly recommend staying here and hope to come back in the future. It’s a great place to relax and recharge.
A perfect getaway for me and my fiancée!
It was such a wonderful cabin! Nice and remote, romantic, and peaceful!
