About the property

Converted barn, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

This beautiful loft is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance of historic Old Town Fort Collins, the main library, museums and Colorado State University. The loft is located on the second floor of a c.1902 brick carriage house. An interior staircase brings you to an open living space punctuated by large windows which let in an abundance of natural light. Original wood floors run the length of the space as well as into the adjacent bedroom. Exposed brick walls add a rustic charm and a full kitchen allows you to cook meals when you choose not to sample from the many incredible restaurants nearby.

The location and setting of this property make it the perfect place to stay while exploring what Fort Collins and the region have to offer.

About Kelly Josephs

Originally from Wisconsin, we're CSU alumni who fell in love with the area and stayed after graduation. We love living in Fort Collins. We've started a business here, raised our family here, and sent our kids to CSU as well. By inviting guests to stay in our loft, we hope they get to experience some of the things that have made Fort Collins a place we don't want to leave.

Kelly Josephs purchased this barn in 1996

Why Kelly Josephs chose Fort Collins

We first moved to Fort Collins from the midwest, to attend CSU. In the 30 years since, we've raised a family, created a thriving business, and set down roots in the Old Town area. We feel very lucky to be surrounded by interesting people, beautiful landscapes, and a wide range of activities to enjoy. There's no other place we'd rather be.

A beautifully designed space in a great location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my two children for a few days in March. We were delighted with the coach house. Clearly a lot of care and aesthetic consideration have been put into the design of this space. It was equally beautiful and functional. We did some hiking trips on Horsetooth Mountain, met with some old friends, and explored the area, and this was the perfect home base. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals, do our laundry, and everyone loved the big shower. The skylights really give the place a special ambiance...I imagined what an ideal place this would be for a romantic getaway. It's an easy walk to the shopping/entertainment district. The chickens and outdoor space made us happy too. I'd definitely recommend this place to others!

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Everything was perfect! My daughter and I were in Fort Collins for a CSU engineering tour and wanted something close to everything and this was it! We loved the barn doors, the hardwood and all of the cute decor. We are already planning our next trip and will definitely put this place at the top of our list! Thank you for everything!

Beautiful attention to detail

  • 5 of 5

I love this space! Tastefully done, comfortable and quiet. I feel like I lose my soul in hotel rooms. Not here, this space feeds my soul. The layout is unique, and great. The kitchen made it easy to prepare my meals and eat well. I wish the weather had cooperated to be able to sit in the peaceful backyard.

I'll be back.

Wonderful, unique and welcoming place

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I had a great experience in this terrific property! The owners were very kind and had anticipated a traveler's every need. We enjoyed total privacy and yet knew they were accessible if needed. The design and craftsmanship in this unique city apartment were truly remarkable. One feels calm, centered and inspired just spending time here. The location and gardens are also fantastic ~ I highly recommend it!

Cozy, charming and perfect location for visiting CSU student and Old Town

  • 5 of 5

We will be back again to stay in this charming, comfortable and homey carriage house! The owners couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The accommodations were perfect for us to visit our son at CSU. Wonderful craftsmanship in the house with rustic and unique, yet classy decor. No wasted space and every necessary appliance for comfort and feeling like you are in a home while on vacation. Walking distance to CSU campus and Old Town! Plenty of room for the three of us with a really comfortable (for real!) pull-out couch in the family room for our daughter. You wont be disappointed staying here!
