About Kelly Josephs

Originally from Wisconsin, we're CSU alumni who fell in love with the area and stayed after graduation. We love living in Fort Collins. We've started a business here, raised our family here, and sent our kids to CSU as well. By inviting guests to stay in our loft, we hope they get to experience some of the things that have made Fort Collins a place we don't want to leave.

Kelly Josephs purchased this barn in 1996

Why Kelly Josephs chose Fort Collins

We first moved to Fort Collins from the midwest, to attend CSU. In the 30 years since, we've raised a family, created a thriving business, and set down roots in the Old Town area. We feel very lucky to be surrounded by interesting people, beautiful landscapes, and a wide range of activities to enjoy. There's no other place we'd rather be.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Vintage charm near Old Town in Fort Collins. Also, convenient to the campus. Nice upgrades with quality finish. Quiet and comfortable. This is our third stay in the Carriage House and hope to return soon.

Perfect! Why stay anywhere else in Ft. Collins

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely Perfect. Matched pictures and write up exactly. Perfect Size. Quaint. Beautiful.

We used the kitchen - worked well. Hostess even called us during day to ask if she could turn on A/C since it was getting a little warm. Did I mention it was perfect! could walk to old town.

Close to everything and Private too

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I were visiting for CSU orientation and to find a new barn for her horse. Kelly has really created quite a beautiful little haven in the Carriage House. Every detail is so beautiful and well done, with Beadboard, wood floors and wide trim throughout. The custom barn doors give the bedroom privacy. We really appreciated the ample closet space for hanging and dressing. The cabinets are a soft shade of green and filled with everything you would need to cook. We arrived in 100 degree weather and the six skylights gave beautiful light without heat to the wonderfully air conditioned space. The bathroom is beautiful with custom details including a stainless shower sill and subway tile surround in a large shower. The garden was beautiful, you have a beautiful place to call home. We enjoyed the eggs from the hens and coffee every morning. Thank you.

While I was there I tried to book another stay in the fall for my husband and I, however the Carriage House was already booked. We will have to change our dates so we can come back to this beautiful little home away from home. Unfortunately, we were never able to meet our hosts, except in passing, but hopefully in the future we can meet.

** I hesitate to say anything negative at all but we did have a little trouble identifying the soap dispensers in the shower. The one on the right dried my daughter's skin, and burned mine. The one on the left was great though, so no problem we improvised. Thank you again and hopefully we will be returning soon!

Owner's Response: Thanks Ann! I appreciate all the nice comments and am glad you had a good time. I hope you get a chance to stay with us again; I'd be happy to have you back :) Also, thanks for the honest feedback on the shower supplies. The shampoo and body wash are both all natural products, but maybe I need to change the one. Others may have experienced the same and not mentioned it.

Great loft style apartment close to everything in Fort Collins

  • 5 of 5

My daughter & I stayed for 4 nights & did 2 college visits - Kelly was really helpful & accomodating...apartment just beautiful & extremely clean...all directions very clear & reasonable...w/d on 1st floor a great plus ...LOVED the eggs from the girls...had 1 each morning for breakfast!!! We also enjoyed farmers market on Saturday morning - wonderful vendors - we were able to visit so many places in Fort Collins due to location of apt - will definitely be back when planning our relocation from the Midwest to Fort Collins. Love all the town has to offer & sense of community. Thanks Kelly for opening your beautiful apartment loft. Details in the decorating & carpentry very impressive!!!

Love This Cozy Place

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved everything about our recent stay in Fort Collins. The coach house was wonderful; everything we wanted and needed, including fresh eggs. This part of Fort Collins is called Old Town and was very charming with nice shops and restaurants close by. Plus a Whole Foods and Walmart where we picked up all our groceries. I love the design of this home as it utilizes it's space perfectly. I will cross my fingers that Kelly's place is open when we visit our son in the future.
