Owner / Property Manager purchased this cabin in 1989
I have never in my life seen so many stars! Serene solitude. The log cabin was beautiful! The upstairs bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The perfect place to get away from the grind of everyday living. Plenty of wildlife to see, from the elk in the morning retiring to their grassy beds, to the coyote racing across the open fields. This was our first stay in this kind of environment and we enjoyed it immensely. This cabin is one of the main reasons we are thinking of relocating to Colorado.
This was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property is surrounded by spectacular mountain views on all sides. The cabin was well appointed, however, the pots and pans need updating or else future visitors may want to bring their own cookware. We would definitely stay again.
Every morning when I awoke, I was presented with the most beautiful mountain views I had ever seen. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. The beds were very comfortable and I slept with the window open every night. The cool breezes were so nice. On the colder days, I ran the fireplace. I will come back again for sure. Staying here is a genuine off-the-beaten-path Colorado experience. I enjoyed getting a break from my hectic life back home. This property was clean and relaxing.
The property was nice and quiet and easy to get to. It was well appointed and clean with on exception. The bed linens did not seem to be clean, they smelled of cologne and lacked a clean feeling. It's n easy fix, but it was definitely a little off-putting. Otherwise great and clean.
This was a girl's trip for me, my sister, and my mom. We went to check out properties in the area, and we wanted to stay somewhere near where we looking, but also in a place that would give us the full Colorado experience. We loved this cabin! It was perfect for our group. The renovations they did on the home have made it such a warm and inviting space, and the owners were very nice to communicate with both by phone and email. We loved sitting on the couch next to the wood burning stove, and looking at the beautiful stars at night. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but it's actually pretty convenient to the town. I think it took us about 20-30 minutes to get to the grocery store. We definitely recommend this place!
This cabin feels like it's out in the middle of nowhere, but it's really not that far from town (maybe 20-25 minutes?). You don't see anything but mountains and land from the cabin, and it's so relaxing. The owners said that part of this cabin is the original homestead--well, they have done a wonderful job updating it. Everything was clean and nice and very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting on the coach by the wood burning stove, and looking at the endless starts at night. We highly recommend and plan on staying there again when we next come through the area. Thanks for a wonderful weekend getaway!
