We had a good time overall, biggest complaints would probably be the kitchen appliances, paper thin walls, difficulty finding all the lights in the house and the hot tub breaker shutting down on us.
This home is very dated but a good deal for the money. Plenty of beds to accommodate comfortably.
The ovens doesn't work that great and are small. Do not plan on preparing large meals.
Hot tub doesn't look like it works.
This cabin had room for everyone. Was in a good location off of the Pioneer Trail. Had a nice billiards room w/ a pool table & foosball table. Cabin has a large hot tub, which we enjoyed. Also had a nice tv viewing area. The Tahoe area has so many things to do! The cabin is well organized, very clean, beds were very comfortable! Hiking trails are in walking distance. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your cabin! My family and I really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this cabin!
We rented this home with some friends for some relaxation and outdoor fun and although this home is located in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors the interior of this home has seen better days and really should have a thorough going through before it is rented again at the price being charged. I will say it is well equipped with all the essentials such as dishes, silverware, linens etc. We have rented many VRBO's and generally there are little problems with each but this one was very disappointing.
When we arrived the first thing we did was kick ice patches off the deck which hadn't been cleared from the last snow storm a week before. There were pine needles all over the deck that were being tracked into the home, there were cobwebs all over the chandelier that hung above the 2nd floor, and the molding in the upstairs bathroom had what appeared to be mold growing. The appliances have seen better days, there was some water under the sink (I supposed that's why there was a towel spread out under the sink) the dishwasher bottom rack didn't have the front wheels on it so each time it was pulled out it had to be lifted so as not to get caught on where the door is connected. The garbage disposal was broken, the ice machine melted into the refrigerator, two of the utensil drawers were falling apart. There were multiple light bulbs burned out in light fixtures, there was only one cue stick for the pool table (the other three were broken), the hot tub had one working jet and the tv in the family room had no sound. Although Coldwell Banker sent out a repair person he wasn't able to fix the TV sound problem, or some of the light bulbs (the house is very dark), we didn't even bother asking him to look at the hot tub as we wanted to have a vacation and not be waiting around for the repair guy to do his work. If this is a private owner that has contracted with Coldwell Banker I hope they understand the true condition of their property.
We were a party of 10 & this house definitely accommodated 5 adults & 5 kids comfortably without space issues. It has a wonderful cabin feel to it, plenty of towels, & the rental agency Caldwell banker was great & very responsive to us. On our first night the oven & stove top did not work and the repair company could not come out until the next day so the agency said to have dinner on them, great customer service. Unfortunately, we discovered that the dishwasher leaks water while in use, the refrigerator ice maker leaks, major spider, mice & carpenter ant infestation, stove top doesn't work well even after fix & should really be replaced since it seems to be a model from the 80's, some of the jets in the hot tub don't work, & needs a good deep cleaning. Overall, not worth the amount we paid matter of fact we had friends who rented a home the same weekend & paid less for an immaculate home w/ more upgrades. Hope the owners will re-invest in this home & improve it.
I rented this cabin for a weekend with some friends (young men, ages 20-40), for a getaway weekend in Tahoe. This place had great amenities (a pool table, a foosball table, a dart board, a hot tub) and we used them all with very few complaints. Luckily, I brought my own darts with me, as the installed dart board came with only 3 darts - all in very poor condition. Other than that, everything else was ready for action (all billiard balls were there, foosball table was well-equipped, etc...) and worked well.
The house's wifi worked as expected, and the television system had cable - allowing us to consume sports most of the time that we were there. We made use of the BBQ grill and the stove/oven, and everything worked as advertised.
Although this place says that it sleeps 14 people, unless some of those people are children (or married), I wouldn't count on that being the case. There were only 8 of us there (all full-grown men) and we slept fine, but if we had 2 or 3 additional adults, we would have had to share beds. Additionally, one of the beds (the fold up bed in the game room) was broken and was slanted quite drastically.
This cabin is a good 10-15 minute drive to Lake Tahoe, but still easily accessible. The neighbors were quiet and the cabin's interior was very clean (if not a tab bit dusty). Really, the cabin that we experienced fits the listed description quite well; what you see in the pictures is what you get in person.
Although I listed a few minor issues above, overall this rental property was fantastic and the experience was pain-free. The property manager was willing to let my group check into the cabin early and check out of the cabin late, and were overall very accommodating. I would be very happy renting this cabin again in the future.
