We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, it is well stocked and the pool was fun. Two families with 5 little kids stayed for a long Thanksgiving weekend. The fence around the pool with a high gate lock was ideal. There were plenty of TV's and channels so the football people were happy and the kids still got their cartoons. The beds are very comfortable too. Blair was very responsive when we had any questions. I highly recommend this property!
Great location and awesome amenities.
I would definitely rent this property again!.
Our family loved staying in Scottsdale! We could walk to many restaurants and shopping. Relax at the pool and enjoy the space of the home. Looking forward to going back!!
First a little bit about the property itself: pictures don't really do it justice. It is beautiful, well-appointed, and quite comfortable to stay in. We rented it for a three-day stay to attend my masters graduation at nearby Grand Canyon University. My elderly dad was traveling with us and the fact that there were so many comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms as well as all the listed amenities put this listing at the top of our list despite the cost. We always figure you get what you pay for, right?
Sadly, what was lacking here was simple communication. There were several things that went wrong during the trip: most notably the written instructions available at the home itself seem to contradict what Blair the owner tells the renters via private emails or text messages. At any rate, we were surprised our very first day (after arriving the night before) by loud doorbell ringing by their property manager, Maria. She came by to "do laundry in the garage" which we thought was odd since we were told we'd be having the property by ourselves. Secondly, she asked us WHY the garbage on the side yard was full...we had no idea as we'd just arrived...and also who's garbage was it? After a brief conversation we emailed Blair and he got back to us right away just to defend Maria and say "no one has ever said that about her before!"
The cable channels were not hooked up in the three secondary bedrooms nor in the media room which put another damper on our stay. In all written instructions it says to please "email first, then text" unless it is an emergency. Since it was not an emergency we did those two things and were not contacted by Blair the rest of our stay. He said later that he'd been "out of the office" and didn't get any emails. Hmmm, my email goes to my phone but OK.
Lastly, the pool's waterslide did not function. The remote that was instructed for its use was found by us outside upon our arrival. The batteries were dead so we replaced them, still it did not work. Another written instruction in-house stipulated for us to NEVER touch any of the pool equipment. Again, not an emergency, just an annoyance that we thought we'd paid for by spending more money on this rental over many others available with fewer amenities.
Overall, a disappointing stay, not because of the house so much but for the lack of responsiveness by the owner and then by his lack of empathy to our situation. He offered a 15% discount on a future stay but we declined.
This house was perfect for our family vacation! We were a total of 6, four adults and two kids (on the younger side). The house was laid out great for entertaining, the pool was fenced so we didn't have to worry about kids getting access without permission. The media room was fantastic for kids in the evening to wind down before bedtime. The open concept was ideal for hanging out in the kitchen and outside. Pool was clean and yard was well groomed! We enjoyed everything about this house.
If I had to provide one piece of constructive criticism it would be that the outdoor seating seems like it may need to be revamped soon. The strips under the cushions seemed stretched so you would sink a little into the furniture but it was very nice and certainly not a reason to choose another property.
I hope we get the opportunity to rent this house again! We had such an amazing experience, this place truly made our vacation since we were in the house/pool the majority of the time. Thank you so very much for sharing your home!
If you're looking for a space to call home, with all of the amenities, look no further. 4 adults and 2 children (6 & 8) vacationed in this Scottsdale home for 8 days in July. The beds were terrific, the kitchen well stocked and the living areas were spacious and well pointed. The pool was used everyday and provided the perfect way to cool off in Arizona's summer heat. We called on Blair and property manager Maria during our stay, and we were met with quick, courteous responses. We had the pleasure to meet both and found them to be helpful and friendly. We hope to travel back next summer and will definitely look to this property that exceeded our needs.
