Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 1970
My husband and I rented this place to see my son who is at college. Although it was too cold to use the pool in October, we were able to getaway and have a fun time. It was so nice to relax, stay-in the house and cook meals, and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the busy city. We especially enjoyed the sauna, and the canoe rides with the fall foliage around the lake, the swans, and ducks. It was just simply breathtaking. We were also able to get my son's college laundry done with the washer/dryer that is available at the house. This was simply an affordable and great place to stay. Thanks to the owner for being so hospitable too; we will definitely be back.
Place its clean and quiet very nice views plus lake on the back , swimming pool and grat working sauna . thanks guys .cant wait to come back again in the summer time:)
Really enjoyed being on the deck looking out at the lake I didn't want to leave I so enjoyed the natural environment.
Ive been renting vacation houses for many years, and this one is hands down the worst.
upon arrival we had to almost hack through the overgrown grass and weeds to get to front door. We had trouble putting code in for front door because the battery was low. There were NO supplies ( paper towels, napkins, soap, shampoo) They gave a small basket for garbage with a 30 gallon bag. There wasn't even a ice cube tray in freezer. There were mouse droppings in master bathroom. No mat in shower, had to hold on to shower rod. The sliding door to deck was impossible to close, had to grease the tracks for it to semi work.
Obviously this house has been neglected by the owners. STAY AWAY!!!
Our trip and stay at the house was nothing short of great the house was clean and assesible to any thing you would Need i look forward to booking again next year
For the price, the stay is good. The view from the home is extraordinary. However, the home is a little run down and is showing signs of wear, needs a good clean up/touch up around the interior and exterior. For those that need an idea of the floorplan, there is one bedroom upstairs (the pink room) with a spiral staircase leading up to it. The other two bedrooms - the master bedroom and the kids room - are on the ground level. The view from the master bedroom is gorgeous. There are two bathrooms on the ground level - one is a half bath and the other is a full bath (not three bathrooms as advertised). The second bathroom is downstairs, in between the sauna and the laundry room. There were some issues with the heating while we were there, we just couldn't figure out how to turn the heater on. There is a very cool Pac-Man arcade machine as you walk in, a big plus for the guys in the group. The front door leads right into the dining room and the living room is off to the side. The kitchen is small but has everything you could possibly need for a stay there. The highlight is the outside of the property. The view, the amenities...everything more than makes up for what is lacking inside. There are bikes, kayaks, a swing chair, picnic tables, fire pit...everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. All in all, an ok stay.
