Guestbook comments from the manager

Wow, this condo is amazing. The view to the ocean is great, I slept with the sliding glass door open and heard the waves all night. The high end finishes in this condo are impeccable. I loved the rain shower and deep tub for soaking away my worries.

The king bed was so soft and you just melt into bed, had lazy morning snuggled up in bed. My two boys slept on the comfy pullout couch which has a blowup mattress and the softest sheets-according to my 6 year old.

The management company thought of everything, including a beach bag, cooler and sand toys for the kids. All you need to bring is your toothbrush and getting ready for some R&R.

Brooke, property manager, was a delight and went above and beyond to ensure the kids and I had a great weekend. I was skeptical to stay in Oceanside but was so glad that we did. We walked to Dominic's for homemade pizza, a must have when in the area!! We also ate on the pier at Ruby's.

The Oceanside strand is really fun for walking, riding and people watching. We rented a bike for 4 and rode up and down the strand for 2 hours. It was a great way to cruise around. I love that you walk out a few steps from the condo and are on the quiet North side of the beach. If you want a crowd, head South if not, stay North of the Pier.

Great days at the beach.

  • 5 of 5

Hi Brooke,

We enjoyed our second stay at your beach condo. Had a wide array of weather this time: clouds, rain, wind, and sunshine. Good thing the balcony is covered! Walked to the harbor, pier, and Thursday morning farmer's market.

Left you a couple of short stemmed wine glasses (harder to accidentally knock over).

We hope to return next year.

Thanks,

Gayle & Keith

Owner's Response: Thank you! We are lucky to have returned guests like you. I'm glad you enjoyed your time once again even with the strange tropical weather this year. Looking forward to having you guys out again. I appreciate the stemless wine glasses- good call!

Overall impression was good

  • 4 of 5

Hi Brooke, overall we had a great vacation but there were a few things worth noting about our stay in your condo. First, the air mattress in the couch must have had a hole in it therefore it couldn't hold air throughout the night. This made that bed fairly uncomfortable but we managed. Also, there was no broom in the condo to sweep up the sand so I had to go purchase one (we left it behind for your next guest). Lastly, one of the boogie boards was broken which made it tough since we have two kids.

The condo itself and the location were ideal. We loved the patio and the close proximity to the pool. We would definitely stay at your place again assuming all of the above were resolved. Thanks!

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for replacing the broom (there usually is one there but must have been misplaced or lost). I'm sorry to hear about the possible hole and will get that resolved ASAP. Thanks again, and I hope we will see you again soon.

Terrific location for a beach vacation

  • 4 of 5

Very nice condo with recent updates. Located on the beach with a beautiful view of the shoreline, pier, and breaking waves. You can hear the waves from the condo- very relaxing! Facilities are also nice with a grill, pool, pond features with koi fish, and lush plants. Only reason for less than 5 stars is spotty, slow internet coverage - we wanted to stream the Olympics - my cell LTE service was more consistent with less cut-outs.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. North Coast Village has a great reputation for it's meticulous landscape. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay but disappointed that the Internet did not hold up to your expectations. I'll be looking into some alternatives to see if we can improve the speed. Thanks for your stay. I hope you will return.

New Family Adventure

  • 4 of 5

Going to the beach during the week of my birthday has become a tradition since my granddaughter was born. As veterans, we normally stay aboard Camp Pendleton at the Del Mar Beach Resort. This year, I moved out of my comfort zone and reserved the Breakwater Beach Pad. The little beach pad is stylish, cute and well situated on the beach. If you're only staying for a short visit, its great, a little small for three adults and a child. What I was VERY disappointed about was the beach. Directly in front of the condos, and about a quarter of the way to the Oceanside Pier their isn't any sand, only rocks, which made walking very difficult, and hard to find a place for a four year old to dig in sand without walking a distance. Since I don't frequent that beach I was surprised to see that the pictures were quite different than reality. Also during our stay, there was a construction crew that had laid a huge pipe just north of the condos that was spewing what smelled like sewage (I'm praying that it wasn't since there were a lot of families nearby). All in all we had great accommodations at the Breakwater Beach Pad, just would suggest another location if you're looking for a close area on the beach to relax, the rocks and sewage smell motivated us to walk and relax elsewhere, just coming back to the condo to eat and sleep. I would recommend this condo to friends that were just looking for a place to stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry the beach did not hold up to your expectations. The pipes that you noticed are the annual dredging that the city contracts to replenish the sand back onto the beach. Usually, this happens in the Spring to make sure there is plenty of sand by the summer but the timeframe isn't always consistent. Hopefully you will take this information into consideration and plan to come back again. If you do plan on coming back to the Breakwater Beach Pad, please reach out to me first so that I can give you as much information as possible prior to your stay to make it a five star stay upon your return. Have a great summer!

Great little beach condo!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay! Great little condo had everything we needed. Right on the beach, walking distance to the pier and all the bars and restaurants in town. Check in and check out was very easy, parking space was very convenient. We loved it!
