About Holly Fidrych

Holly is a speech/language pathologist, author, and artist. She enjoys nature, beautiful architecture, decorating, gardening, and most of all-Ogunquit beach where she loves to take 8:00 am yoga classes, walk the white sand beach, ride down the river, boogie board in the long, rolling surf, and watch the ocean change colors as the sun sets and the Finest-kind sail boat glides out of sight as it heads to Perkins Cove for the night.

Why Holly Fidrych chose Southern Coast of Maine

Wander Hill is magical!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Loved this home and surprised by quality of construction and furnishing

best rental house we have ever stayed in. Our family was in town due to son

having lead role in Billy Elliot at Ogunquit Playhouse and could not have

felt more at home. Wonderful open kitchen for entertaining accompanied by

spacious and covered patio with very nice and comfortable outdoor furniture

spent much time in this area. We appreciated private setting of home,

tucked away in wooded area. Over the course of 6 weeks, we stayed in 3

different homes, this one was by far the best. Would have preferred to have

stayed there the entire time but did not book early enough (hint).

Wow what a home!!

  • 5 of 5

Everything described was accurate and then some. The setting was quiet and the home was even better than pictured. It was by far the nicest Homeaway accommodation we have visited in the last 5 years.

Absolutely gorgeous house and quiet neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely gorgeous house, wonderful location near the downtown and quiet neighborhood. The house was well maintained and very clean. We were here on a very hot weekend and the only hiccup was the A/C upstairs wasn't working (with not much of a breeze outside), but the owner is aware and working to fix it. We would love to plan another trip in the future!

Amazing property just minutes from several towns, shops, and restaurants

  • 5 of 5

The house is amazing, just as pictured. The property is tucked back into the woods so you feel very secluded even though you're actually very close to several small towns. This was perfect for an adults only get-away. More than enough room for the 6 of us. I definitely recommend this property.

Luxurious Maine Escape!

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a last minute getaway to Ogunquit and was unable to take an entire week off from work. This rental was available nightly and did not require a 6 night stay like most rentals. The owner, Holly, had a quick response time and was very open to questions and phone calls. She also allowed our friends to bring their dog to her beautiful home which was a very nice surprise! An instruction packet for the house was provided which was neatly typed and highlighted in the areas which are important. This is also included online when you book the house. It was nice to know the expectations of the owner beforehand so that there are no surprises with the security deposit at the end of your stay.

The house itself is magnificent with a large gourmet dream kitchen, open floor plan, and very very clean. The porch was our favorite place to relax and have drinks. The location is great as it sits between York and Ogunquit so we were able to get to both them quite quickly.

Overall, I am very happy with the rental and would definitely recommend this house to other renters.

Spectacular home in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this gorgeous home for a week in early June for our destination wedding. We had looked at properties on the water but were won over by the peaceful, private setting in the woods, the classic architecture and the first-class amenities of this house. The decor is elegant yet relaxed and every detail is curated with obvious care, from the art (some pieces by the owner of the house), to the eclectic assortment of rugs, and the furniture - a perfect mix of antique and new. For such a grand home, there is nothing fussy about it. We were at ease right away, and yet felt utterly pampered. The house and grounds were ideally suited for our event due to their size and layout. We had our wedding in the side yard, our reception on the veranda, and cake in the great room. The owners were friendly and responsive, and seemed to genuinely care that our stay in their home be memorable. We also rented the guest house for most of our stay and highly recommend it as well. We can also recommend our florist (Calluna, a recommendation from our host) caterer (Harvest and Plate, affiliated with Village Food Market), photographer (Amy Donle) and officiant (Frances Reed), all of whom helped make our wedding perfect in every way. Standout restaurants were Roost and Clay Hill Farm. We wish we could have stayed another week in Cape Neddick and Ogunquit... we'll be back!

A wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

Wander hill is the place I knew would be perfect for my wedding. When we decided to get married I thought about doing something different, I wanted to have a very intimate party and cerimony, something that would make the people who were invited to feel special to be there and have a good time with us. I began to browse for houses and this marvelous place crossed my path, as soon as we saw it, me and my husband fell in love with it.

The three days we spend there were great, the space is unbelievable. The grounds were nicely done and taken care of. We hold our party outside, the way I dreamed about. The day was gorgeous and perfect.

Holly is a very nice person to deal with, she thought about details to make everything neat and was very supportive every time I had a question.

I'm sure I want to go back and stay over again. I had a great time, and this place now is part of our history, a special piece of land that will always remind us of the day and where our family began.

Take the lobsters back to Ledgewood where you can cook the fresh crustaceans and enjoy your feast on your private deck listening to music of your choice.
