Hauula Estate Rental Photos and Description

Estate, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 14-18)

New Plantation style 4 bedroom beachfront home with 3,200 sq ft, 3.5 bathrooms, den and family room 40’ from the beach. This magnificent home sits on a 1.65 acre private estate which has numerous mature coconut trees and many other island plants and trees. It is also the home for several local bird species. As one grandmother put it when she visited the property with her three daughters 'I have looked at every luxury vacation home in the North-shore and this is the best. It is also priced better then the others'.

This Hawaiian Paradise is one of the best vacation homes on Oahu. Along with the beach in front of the property you will find an adjacent 1/2 mile of white beach for walking, running, surfing, body boarding kayaking and sun bathing. There is incredible snorkeling in calm waters with, pristine coral plums and hundreds of species of fish. You will also find sandy tide pools for young children to wade and play in.

The home has a huge entry way with 4-20' lava rock pillars supporting the drive through overhang. The raised living room is 40' from the beach and has a spectacular view of the ocean, sun rises and adjacent reefs. Each room has vaulted ceilings with air-conditioning and individual fans. Every room has a view of the ocean or the rugged Hawaiian mountains just 1.2 mile away. The kitchen is one of a kind that makes you feel like you are on the ocean with a 180 degree view of the surf. This sprawling kitchen is a great place to prepare for large groups or entertain at the bar.

Just behind the property are hiking trails that meander through the Hawaiian mountains with views of the ocean, valleys, large north fork pines and spectacular Hawaiian vegetation and wildlife. You will also find that it is a short distance from stores and restaurants. You can’t beat this estate for vacations, reunions, retreats or honeymoons.

Why The Owner chose North Shore Oahu

We chose to build this luxury home on this property because of the special feel you get when you are there. You can not find a more spectacular location to view the ocean or Hawaiian Mountains. You can be on a vacation with your family or your new spouse and it will be a memory you will never forget. You have to see it to believe it.

What makes this estate unique

You can not get closer to nature then when you are staying at this estate. The sun and moon rises are breath taking and unforgettable. Whether you love the beach or the mountains this property has them both. You also have shops, restaurants, and site-seeing within minutes of the property.

Beautiful and relaxing getaway.

The pictures doesn't do it justice. The view from every room is just spectacular. You can wake up hearing the waves crashing along the shore. Enjoy about a 30 minute walk on the sandy beach. Every time I drive into hauula, I start to relax. And when I get to the property, my stress level just decreases. There are mountain views from the front of the house then the ocean from the back of the house. My family enjoys it each time we are there.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home and the larger home on the same property for our family traveling from near and far to attend daughter's wedding about 10 miles away. We were a little apprehensive after reading the bad reviews, but we took a chance and had no regrets whatsoever. We didn't spent much time in this home as spent most of our time in the larger home. There is a nice wading pool behind the property -- great for kids. At low tide, the reef looks like an alligator. The home was extremely clean, clear view to the ocean, AC was very cold, enough towels for everyone, and beds comfortable.

Note: we received our deposit in a timely manner.

If you are looking to create awesome family memories, rent this home. You will not be disappointed. Would definitely rent this property again.

Thank you Lata for your hospitality.

Run down, needs repair, nothing worked

  • 1 of 5

I rented this house for my wedding. It did not look like it does in the photographs in person. It is actually neglected and in dire need of repairs. It had tacky caution tape all around the property. The AC did not work so all my guests were hot and uncomfortable. We couldn't open most of the windows because they were stuck shut from years of water damage. The built in sound system didn't work so I couldn't play music at my wedding. Also the spa didn't work and the stove kept sparking by itself every few minutes. The master bed was balancing on a wood block as the center beam which would fall if you moved in bed at all. When we tried to reach the property manager to resolve the issues with the property she didn't answer and then shut her phone off. Her solution to all of these issues that basically ruined our wedding and our stay was we that we can have our deposit back without cleaning up. Not impressed.

My extended family of 15 stayed in this home for one week. The house was very clean, plenty of space for everyone, and the backyard was a beautiful beach that we nearly had to ourselves.

We picked coconuts from the trees out front and made coconut bread from a recipe we received at the Polynesian Culture Center (located 5 miles away from home). We went to a nearby fruitstand and the local there told us how to cook the breadfruit that was also growing on the trees in front of the home. We bought fresh shrimp from a nearby stand and that night we cooked shrimp and breadfruit for dinner.

We explored the tidepools literally, steps from the back door and found sea cucumbers, crabs, and tiny fish. A few miles down we saw a pregnant monk seal (named Honeygirl. The locals told us all about her). We saw some dolphins in the distance from our 'private' beach.

Across the street from the home is a grocery store and in my opinion the best restaurant on the North Shore (Papa Ole's).

All of these experiences were possible because of the beautiful place we stayed at, in such a great location. You can't do these types of things when you're staying in a hotel.

Lata was great to work with and very accommodating. We did have a few ants, which was remedied when we were diligent about crumbs. I think this is pretty normal for any home!!

Bugs, broken stuff, AC out, no help

  • 2 of 5

We stayed here with extended family. We had cockroaches and constant ants, despite keeping the kitchen clean. The power did not work for the AC, and the windows were so corroded they would not open for fresh air. There were missing smoke alarms, with wires hanging down and bedroom doors that did not close. The spa was broken, and Lata did not respond to my inquiries about getting it fixed. It had been broken for a long time, yet was still in the listing as an available amenity, and we were led to believe it would be there for us to use. The new bookings were offered at a 20% discount, but when we asked for that to compensate us, we were ignored.

Fabulous memories made in this home!!

  • 5 of 5

What an AMAZING getaway we had! Only wish we would have stayed longer!! The land was gorgeous with a ton of space for our little kids to run and explore. The back yard was literally the ocean! Amazing to wake up to and got to cook literally watching the whales play 3 separate times! The beach had hardly anyone on it most of the time which was nice. We even got to see an endangered Monk seal hanging out in front of the house! The home was beautiful and very clean. Every window has a lovely view, mostly of the ocean! It was so nice to be able to put the kids to bed at night and go out back with my husband and enjoy relaxing watching the waves coming in! We found Lata to be incredibly kind and accommodating the whole way through. Our deposit was also promptly received after our return home. Ages in our group ranged from 6 months to 55+ (9 adults and 4 kids) and every one was happy...until we had to leave that is! We would LOVE to come back to this home again! Thanks Lata!
