The inside of the house is very well kept and had everything we needed. The beach was within walking distance. Overall we had a nice stay.
We very much enjoyed staying at Pink Sunset. It was a large well furnished home that had everything we needed. We had several children with us who especially enjoyed having a sandbox for a backyard. This allowed them to play outside in the sand even when we didn't go to the beach. Lovely place.
The home, the decor, the location, all were exactly what we wanted and needed. There were no intrusions on our privacy or need to call management for anything. Loved it!!!
We had a terrific time here with our family. I’ve read the other reviews and couldn’t disagree more, our stay was as enjoyable as anyone can hope for. Loved the space under the house where you can enjoy being outside and the breeze without being in the sun on those days you just want to lounge around.
The good thing about this house is that is very close to the gulf. Only one low speed street in the middle.
And the issued that we encounter were the following.
The first thing that didn't work was the refrigerator. Since we arrived on a weekend we had to wait until Monday for a technician because unfortunately the maintenance people don't know about refrigerators. And we ended up throwing away a bunch of food we took.
The next thing we found was the lights in one closet and the laundry were blown. Alike one of the light switches for the stair lights wasn't working. Also the blender had a mismatched engine.
Then one of the master bedrooms felt warm compared to the other rooms. We had to have the fan on in order to cool it. This thing was never fixed.
Likewise the drier was so noisy that we had to turn it on while we weren't in the house. A technician was sent to repair it but he didn't fix it because he didn't have the part with him. And told us it was going to be fixed next day. But it didn't get fixed until we left.
The last thing was the linens. One of the beds had blood spots. This wasn't fixed.
When we found these issues we called maintenance. And maintenance dispatch works on the weekends but even when we called during their working hours we had to wait quite some time after calling a bunch of times to get a called back or to reach them.
We had a family get together that filled the house but we never felt cramped. We also spent most days on the beach, so we were rarely in the house all together at one time except to sleep. We all would congregate below under the house and just set up chairs there. There was always a nice breeze under there. Ideally, it would be awesome to have a big picnic table under there. We used the sound side of the beach mostly b/c the waves were strong on the gulf side and the kids could play in the water without us worrying. I was surprised that we never heard from the rental agency after our stay. We at least thought we'd get an email thanking us for staying. A few things that need to be fixed. The ice maker in the freezer did not work. We had to buy many bags of ice daily. The bottom step in the back of the house is not securely on and could be dangerous if stepped on wrong. And the only other negative is the two bedrooms upstairs have no bathroom so you had to come downstairs and the one bedroom you had to walk through the other bedroom to come and go. Other than that we had a great time. Oh and one more thing. Ideally, an enclosed shower outside would be awesome. My sister would take her showers outside (kept her bathing suit on) and more of us would have too if it was enclosed. But we never ran out of hot water. Overall a great trip!
