Our family of 7 met at Golden Cottage for a pre 4th of July escape! The house was wonderful: large, sunny, immaculate with a perfect yard for water fights (for kids of all ages) and bocce…
A fully equipped kitchen, two completely remodeled baths, two levels of decks, and lots of extra bath and bed linens are just a few of the homes features.
We enjoyed watching the lobster boats in the cove in the evening and our trips to Rockport and all of Cape Ann. The quarry at Halibut State Park is a favorite.
Thank you so much for a memorable week!!
The house is spacious, lots of bedrooms and lots of windows. Very light and airy. It is in a great neighborhood to walk around in. Backyard faces the ocean and has a very large grassy area for kids to play in. It is located just north of Rockport, about 6 minutes by car from the center of town.
This beautifully renovated cottage is in a lovely neighborhood, with amazing ocean views from the kitchen/dining area and decks, both upstairs and on the main level. There were 7 in our group and we had more than enough room with two full bathrooms with modern amenities. Cottage has been well maintained and had a fabulous coffee maker. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils and pots/pans. Bathrooms had plenty of towels. Two bedrooms face the ocean. the living room is cozy with a game table and some games as well as a TV. the back yard is huge, flat, and beautiful. it's a short walk to a very rocky lovely beach. Finally, Rockport is a great little town. Having a car is a must for access to sandy beaches, the town, and grocery stores.
We had a lovely time! This house has a wonderful kitchen, a great dining area, plenty of bedrooms and an absolutely gorgeous view. The tourist shopping and restaurants are super and there is lots to do!
We had a wonderful time at the Golden Cottage in Rockport!! We stayed for a long weekend while in the area for a family wedding. Our three adult children (in their twenties), two girlfriends, and my husband and I all had a great time there. We loved the view from the back deck and ate breakfast there every morning. The beds are very comfortable and the towel supply was plentiful. We also loved walking around the town of Rockport. Most of our time was taken up with wedding activities, but we did manage to fit in a walk down the path to the scenic rocky beach. Overall it was a great stay and hope to come back again next year and stay longer!!
The Golden Cottage in Rockport was a gem of a find. We cannot say enough about how wonderful it was for our long weekend getaway! We rented the home for a family get-together, and all 8 of us were very comfy. The bedrooms were all very cozy, bright and airy, and the downstairs rooms were open and spacious. The view from both decks is spectacular -- it was so pleasant waking up to that every morning. And you're only a quick walk down a short garden path to the water. The swimming off the rocks was great, but anyone who ventures down to the public waterfront, please be wary of the incredible amount of poison ivy along the shore! (Fortunately we were all very careful and no one was affected :) . The backyard and gardens are lovely, too --we saw lots of rabbits and fireflies, an added bonus. We wished we were staying for longer!
