Apartment is very clean, well maintained and spacious, with basic amenities provided. It is well-located near tourist areas and a very good choice of metro lines and bus lines. A few glitches with lighting (new light bulb needed) and television (control needed batteries) were swiftly resolved, although tv stopped working at end of stay. Bedroom looking over courtyard yielded very quiet sleeping conditions. Communication with owner was excellent. I would stay here again.
The owner was fantastic to communicate with throughout the booking and the stay. The apartment was in a great location. The building was old and the place was older - the floor was a nice hardwood, but some of the floorboards are loose and you had to be careful where you stepped. The tub was very high (2 feet up) and you had to step down from it after you took a shower. The apartment was nice and clean.
We stayed in Nadine's apartment for 10-days with our two-year-old son. The apartment is exactly as described and Nadine is a model host. We are expats living abroad, and Nadine was very flexible in making alternate arrangements to have the keys delivered to us and allowing us to make payment via PayPal. She was also very prompt in returning our damage deposit. Communication was regular and seamless.
The apartment is ideally and centrally located a stone's throw from the Madeleine metro. It is easy walking distance to a number of bistros, grocery stores, tourist destinations, and parks. Our toddler was quite taken by Park Monceau and the Tuileries. The apartment is well appointed, including high quality linens for the beds, and quite sizable by Paris standards. The pullout in the second bedroom proved perfect for our toddler son, who is transitioning out of his crib. It was also surprisingly comfortable (much nicer than an average sofa bed). I appreciated that there were few knick knacks, which can occasionally prove a little too tempting for a toddler. That said, there were several very helpful guidebooks and maps, which we used extensively to chart our day.
The apartment is virtually sound proof (no street noise, garbage trucks at 3 am, or neighbors walking above) and the neighbors were polite and warm in greeting our family when we passed in the halls. The elevator, a luxury in many Paris apartments, was a welcome amenity for transporting our luggage.
The dishwasher was not working when we arrived, but we ate most of our meals out so this didn't prove problematic by any stretch. I also appreciated the small welcome kits amenities (dish soap, sponge, coffee, tea, laundry soap), which helped us get settled after a very long flight.
In short, we have widely recommended this apartment to all of our expat friends and would be thrilled to stay here again. You will not regret booking this property, if for nothing but location alone.
Travel tip: You can purchase a temporary SIM card at the Free store across the street from the apartment.
My wife, grown son and I stayed here for several days, and thoroughly enjoyed this apartment. Spacious, pretty and comfortable, it was close to the Metro, and also an easy walk to a number of the great sites of Paris. A wonderful neighborhood to get up early in the morning and pick up a baguette at the boulangerie. I highly recommend this apartment.
Nadine's apartment was perfect for us when we went to run the Paris Marathon. The apartment is in a great location, we were able to walk easily to the starting areas of both the marathon and the breakfast run. I look forward to staying here again when we have more time to relax and sightsee.
Thank you for a clean, comfortable stay with all the luxuries of home right at our fingertips. It was close to shopping and sightseeing and a great value for our family. We had a beautiful time and look forward to the next time!
