Owner / Property Manager purchased this condo in 1980
My husband and I are very familiar with the Wintergreen resort and the location of this condo. I was a little disappointed with the view because the tree line has grown so much that there was very little view this time of year. Certainly not a fault of the condo! It was a little cumbersome loading and unloading the car because the condo is two levels down from the parking lot and we could not get the blue tooth container with the condo keys to open. The push buttons on the door worked fine, though, so we really didn't need the keys. The condo itself was spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The bedroom and bed were very comfortable. It was nice to have two full baths to use. We could not get the family room TV to work properly, however, and there were no written instructions to help us wade through a shelf with several devices and lots of cords! We ended up just using the bedroom TV. The kitchen had a regular coffee pot and a Keurig coffee maker. While there were no coffee filters for regular coffee, there were lots of Keurig coffee available to use. That was a nice touch. We would definitely rent this condo again but we would need instructions for the TV!
The views were spectacular. We will definitely stay again!
I appreciated the wifi info, menus, and netflix. We just couldn't figure out the bluetooth radio.
Close walk or bus ride to everything.
Even though this property is closer to golf then skiing, we spend Valentines weekend there and LOVED it! Great views of the slopes without the noise of the snowmaking machines all night long. Very spacious. Shuttle to the slopes just steps away. Loved it!
Wonderful condo with fantastic views! The condo was very spacious and they even provide you with as much firewood as you want! It was difficult to find and we were given a "local contact" to call if we had any problems. When we were trying to find the place, we called her 3 times, left 2 messages-- never got a call back! Good thing we figured it out on our own!
We showed up and the condo was very clean. The views were beautiful. Plenty of dishes, glasses and pots and pans. Oh yeah I got ENGAGED by the fireplace as the fire was roaring.
My wife and I were in the area for a Spartan Race held at the Wintergreen Resort. The location of the condo inside the resort was hard to find, so much that we had to call the “local contact” to ask for directions. She was friendly and tried to help but cellular service is hit or miss in the resort so her directions were hard to understand. Her directions didn’t help much, so we had to travel back down the mountain and ask the front desk. First timers to the Wintergreen resort should do their research GPS is not accurate in that area! Due to our late start and stopping in town to get things we needed for our race the next day we arrived fairly late approximately 8:00 P.M... Upon arrival we found that the condo had not been cleaned. There were dirty sheets on the unmade bed, wet towels left in the bathtub, dishes left in the sink and the trash had not been taken out. You can imagine my aggravation considering the cleaning agency had all day to clean the room. After my wife and I cleaned the condo ourselves I attempted to call the “local contact” without success, so I left a voice mail to let her know about the situation and my disappointment. I received one text message the next morning saying there was a misunderstanding with the cleaning agency. Any attempt I made after that to the “local contact” was unsuccessful. Once we were settled in the room we made the best of our stay. We were there to complete the Super Spartan and we did that. Afterwards we wanted to relax with some pizza but unfortunately there were no local pizzerias that delivered to the resort. Again, first timers do some extensive research on this resort!
