What it has to offer people.
Sunsets, Nature and the Lake and so much FUN!
We had our family reunion here and were worried the house wouldn't be big enough to accommodate our large group (40-50 people). We were pleasantly surprised at how well the house and property was setup and was more than enough room for our family. We had 15 people stay overnight one night and 13 the next very comfortably! The house was very clean! The pool table which also can be used as a dinner table or ping pong table was a huge hit as was the dart board in the hall. Plenty of seating outside on the patios. The one and only kayak was also a great hit as several people went solo and paddled around Willow Island for a very enjoyable and quite time. We saw 4 deer swim from the island to the main land which surprised us all! The two resident ducks visited us often. The kids loved jumping off the dock and fishing off the dock as well. Our entire family wants us to make this a yearly trip! The only negative is the sliding door from the living area to the back patio is very difficult to slide, but that is an easy fix so definitely not a deal breaker. It was also nice knowing Art was on the property most of the time Just in case we needed anything although we never did. Thank you Art for such a nice place!
The property location is quite nice and there are many outdoor seating areas to enjoy the view of the lake. The advertised grill which we planned to use was broken and the clothes dryer was not only loud but did not actually dry clothes. We had a baby that was crawling in our group and we put her down on the tile floor. It was very clear that the floor was not at all clean. Also the liquid soap at some of the sinks had been watered down and was useless. I do believe they are trying to get the property back in better condition. We had a large group and the house met our needs very well. It ha been 10 days since we checked out and I still do not have my deposit credited to my credit card. I have been told it will be credited within 30 days. I know the property was rented for the same day we left so I am wondering why the delay in processing my refund.
We were in town for our daughter's wedding and really wanted something other than hotel rooms for such a large group of family. This was perfect! The upstairs guest quarters was the perfect spot for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready and so spacious! Swimming, kayaking, playing pool, playing darts, we did it all, and the location was so convenient to everywhere we needed or wanted to go.
We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Art!
This was our second yearly rental and we look forward to another rental next year. This Lake House holds enough space for a team building atmosphere with having a gorgeous view.
The lake house is good for large groups and one of the only options for big families in Ft Worth. We enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable. The owner is very responsive. We highly recommend renting SUP from Lakeside Paddle that you can see to the NE from the boat dock.
