My husband and I rented the cabin to spend the weekend with our sons for Father's Day, but it turned out to only be he and I. The porch swing was very nice for the two of us to just relax and enjoy each others company. We spent a lot of time out of the cabin so we didn't really enjoy it that much, but next time we come we'll know it's a great place to just stay and chill.
Thanks for keeping things nice and clean.
Great get away. Love the porches and the beautiful mountain views.
Upon arrival, you can tell the cabin has been used several times. Location is great, very private. The first night there, the fireplace wouldn't work, however, Charlie came out the next day and fixed it. At night, you can hear what appears to be nice or rats running up the walls and in the ceiling of the cabin. You can also hear them behind the fireplace. Also noticed a huge urine stain on the mattress, which didn't have a mattress pad to cover it. Also found hairs on the sheets and the pillows were extremely flat and used. The hot tub works well, but the gel coating is chipping off and it floats in the water. All the previous reviews about this place are true!! I will say that the cabin itself was clean, other than the mattress!! We won't stay again, but I hope that the owners are able to review all previous reviews and spend a little money on this cabin. We travel several times a year and use VRBO all the time. Was disappointed in this cabin.
This was our first time to the area. There was a lot to do, we will likely come back. The cabin was very nice and add advertised.
The location is great, and the drive in is moderate level for non mountain drivers. Nice driveway with entry level to the cabin. You can tell in a quick glance the place is heavily rented but it's tidy and welcoming. There's a few updates needed like, new towels and cutlery. The comfy mattress in the bedroom seems more of a full than a queen. Tall people FYI.
It was a nice cabin. would definitely stay again with just me and my husband. The pull out was unusable - it would sink and not stay up. The twin cot in the pool table room wasn't what expected - though my 15 yr old slept on it anyways. Did read reviews about the ripped screen - did not bother me but thought it would of been fixed as old as reviews were. Was very clean. No pantry to put groceries. Good thing we didn't have a lot. Overall I was pleased - view is beautiful from patio upstairs.
Property is nice. Location is great! View is great. Stones around fire place are loose and not safe for people with kids. Couch needs replaced fold out bed in it is not suitable to sleep on. Also could use a good cleaning under it. There was dust and old food under it! The small fold out bed cushions are all tore up and needs replaced. The hot tub paint is chipping and floating around, also scratches you if don't watch it. If those things were fixed would have given a higher rating.
