Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband and I rented the cabin to spend the weekend with our sons for Father's Day, but it turned out to only be he and I. The porch swing was very nice for the two of us to just relax and enjoy each others company. We spent a lot of time out of the cabin so we didn't really enjoy it that much, but next time we come we'll know it's a great place to just stay and chill.

Thanks for keeping things nice and clean.

We loved our stay at the Mountain Rose!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the Mountain Rose cabin!! Any questions we had when we arrived were responded to immediately, you really feel that the owner cares about guests having a great time. The cabin was clean and we loved the decor of it, I highly recommend it to any small family and the extra perk is that they allow dogs, mine loved the porch as did we all. Thank you Mountain Rose, we did not want to leave!

Needs updating and deep cleaning

  • 3 of 5

This cabin served its purpose but we would not stay there again. I was very uncomfortable with the fact that the code on the door lock stays the same for every guest. This made me feel unsafe. The cabin itself is in need of a major deep cleaning to clear spiderwebs inside and outside, ceiling fans, and those areas you don't clean every week. This would include the porches and furniture. The cabin was adequately stocked with linens but no trash bags or hangers, the latter of which we purchased and left in the cabin. The location of the cabin was great but a mention of the condition of the drive up the mountain would have be useful as our car (Altima) had difficulty dodging the holes.

Disappointed

  • 3 of 5

We had a 1 yr old with us and there was pet hair every where. Wasnt much of a view, we thought it was more wilderness. The little pond was discussing, looked like oil in it ! Said had access to a canoe, no access. The upstairs bathtub, you need a step stool to get into it

Secluded, rustic and cozy

  • 5 of 5

Loved the location of this cabin as well as the cabin itself. It had everything we could have wanted. Secluded but still only a short drive to everything. Perfect location!! Loved the hot tub and the porch swing that we enjoyed in the evenings when we returned to the cabin. This cabin is perfect for honeymooners, those celebrating anniversaries, or if you just need some time away with your special someone.

Peaceful and wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Mountain Rose Log Cabin! So nice to enjoy the quiet, after a busy day dealing with the traffic in town. Loved the porch, great place to relax with a cup of coffee, or a cool drink. The hot tub was great, easy in and out with the steps in place. Our dogs had a great time too! Great Smoky Mountain vacation!

Not my taste

  • 3 of 5

Cabin was ok, not necessarily to my liking; but that was just my personnel taste. Had stayed at a different cabin in Pigeon Forge previously, and this one didn't live up to expectations. It was secluded, which I enjoyed; however if your looking for views of the surrounding mountains, this is not it. Forget about the pond, no boat, it was overgrown and not very accessible. You can do a lot better for a comparable price.
