Our unit 'Paradise Found', is a quiet, deluxe, ground floor unit in a small, two-story building. The pool, front office and laundry room are a few yards from the front door. Out the back door (our lanai) we have a lovely patio set for outdoor dining. The commercial grade gas barbeque is twenty feet away from the lanai.

The beach, Kamaole II, is rated as one of the best beaches in all of the Hawaiian Islands. It is very clean and well supervised by professional lifeguards. We have boogie boards, beach towels and lawn chairs in the closet. The beach is also a wonderful location for a romantic moonlit walk.

The staff at the Kihei Kai Nani are fantastic. They really exemplify the 'Aloha Spirit'. Arnold, our maintenance man, will make sure that any concerns (not that we anticipate any)are taken care of promptly and professionally. Diana, our cleaning lady, is rated number one. She makes sure that the unit is immaculate prior to your arrival and that you have fresh linens and towels.

I installed a punch code lock system on the front door. I simply generate an access code via the Internet that will operate the lock during your visit. If you happen to forget the code, the folks at the office can retrieve it for you.

About Samuel Beaton

Aloha from Sam and Lea Beaton. We are both retired from the federal Government in Canada (Correctional Service). My wife supervised the security operations at a minimum security facility, while I was a Parole Officer working out of a medium security institution. The one thing common to everybody working in a prison is our long-term plans for retirement. Lea loves the slower pace, shopping and beautiful weather of Maui. I look forward to spending more time with the Kihei Canoe Club and being active on the ocean. We both look forward to being able to spend a lot more time on the beach in Maui!

Why Samuel Beaton chose Maui

Max, our thirteen-year-old son, decided we needed to visit Maui in April of 2009. The Make-A-Wish foundation sent us to a very fancy five-star hotel in Ka'anipali. It was wonderful and we fell in love with the island.

However, I don't really like being waited on. I'm the kind of guy that would pump my own gas even if if costs more than 'full service'. We actually found we prefer cooking what we want and eating when we want. Restaurants are nice once in a while, but I hate waiting around for a meal that I could have cooked better myself at a fraction of the cost; I prefer to spend my money buying food at Costco and 'going out' to have fun!

Our second visit (two months later) we came armed with pre-authorized paperwork from our banker. We looked from end of the island to the other for the very best location. We very quickly decided that Kihei, on the south side of the island, was ideal. Kihei receives very little rain. The water comes from the other side of the island. The temperature is always warm, not too hot, (twelve months of the year) and the ocean is always a very comfortable 72 degrees. The people of Maui are very friendly and helpful. There are no tourists. We are 'visitors' and are treated like very welcome guests. Portions of the island don't look like they have changed much in many decades, yet modern conveniences like Costco and movie theaters are readily available.

What makes this condo unique

We first selected the Kihei Kai Nani complex based on its excellent location, the high quality of its buildings and well-groomed grounds. We chose our particular unit for its unique location as well. We are on the ground floor at the end of a small two story building; no stairs and lots of windows. It is very quiet and yet centrally located within a few yards of the office, laundry room and pool. The beach is at the end of the driveway. We are just far enough away that we hear nothing but the birds in the morning and the crickets, geckos etc. in the evening.

This place has everything!

This condo is perfect. Great location, right across the street from an amazing beach. They have everything to make your stay in Maui as enjoyable as possible. It has beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, patio furniture, and a grill just outside the back door. Will definitely stay here again.

Great place

My husband and I spent a week at Paradise Found in February 2017. The unit was clean, very well-equipped and super-comfortable. We appreciated extras like a cooler and beach chairs, and the great wifi speed was appreciated since we both had to do some work. The condo complex is well-maintained with a great pool and laundry room and enough parking. The grounds are beautifully kept. The office staff are friendly and helpful. The location, right on South Kihei Road, was convenient for us to walk to the beach (right across the street) and to restaurants and parks. We would definitely go back. - Josie & Ian

Next to Pool and BBQ Great Ground Floor Unit

Awesome unit; 1 bedroom, living room, and a fully stocked kitchen.! Not just utensils and cookware, but spices and condiments as well. We had our 5-year old daughter, the closeness of the pool was a big plus. We used the community BBQ which is right next to the unit more than once. The drawers were packed full of many useful-while-on-vacation items. It was like a 'treasure hunt', there were a few times we returned from the store only to find what we went to buy already in the unit. I wish we'd have known how well stocked the unit was before we left the mainland, we could have left some things at home to leave room in the baggage for more gifts to bring back home. Also snorkel gear and boogie boards on the lanai. Mr Beaton was a pleasure to work with, quickly answered our emails with in-depth and thoughtful replies. Gave us great tips about the island. Really felt like we were dealing with a friend. The managing staff were very friendly, the grounds well kept as well. Fair price also a huge bonus.! We'll definitely stay again.

This condo is well located and it contains everything we wanted. The owner is really helpful and answered all of our questions very fast, even when we were there. The view just across the street for the sunset is perfect for a picnik !!

Met and exceeded expectations

Have stayed at Days Inn but they raised prices so we thought we would try a condo. Wow! This fit the bill for us. My wife and I, our daughter, son-in-law and their one year old. Very clean. Very, very well stocked with amenities; full kitchen and all utensils; lots of beach toys, beach chairs. Several nice features: Television in bedroom and one in living area. nice. Loved having an automatic ice maker; small thing but so convenient. Just a very, very positive experience for our stay. It is more spacious than I expected. We had plenty of room for all of us. We like the location; yes- beach literally right across the street. And - easy, short drive to the beaches in Wailea and Makena - where we do a lot of snorkeling. We were not expecting only A/C in living area and none in bedroom. But - Sam gave us the tip: Open up in the afternoons and evenings and it will keep bedroom comfortable at night. It worked. We prefer very dark and vey quiet when we sleep, so we did not open windows over night. Ceiling fan worked fine. The living area A/C cools down really cold! Again - nice. For us a couple of very small things: curtains do not all shut all the way; my wife found 4 clothes pins to close the gaps and that helped a lot. We would probably bring more clothes pins with us next time. Not a huge deal. Windows over the entry door let in front porch light which just about lights up the whole living area! We draped a towel over that window and - that worked. My kids (in their 20's) said they would have rather brought their queen size air mattress to sleep on instead of fold out sofa bed. That was their report. My guess is sofa bed works fine for children; maybe not so great for adults. Even with the pak 'n play for the baby to sleep in - we still had more than enough room in the condo. Sam Beaton was great to work with. Very laid back and helpful and responsive. We ate one breakfast at Fred's right next door. Good food and vey reasonable. Sign us up for May 2017 (we'll start saving our pennies now). :-)
