This Belltown Condominium is within easy reach of nearly all of the downtown attractions, including the museums, sporting arenas and more.
To be clear, A/C is provided via a window unit during summer months (almost NO buildings-less than 5%- in Seattle have central air conditioning). Also, be aware that this is a urban environment. In any urban core, you can expect to hear street noise, often late into the evening. If a silent outdoor environment is important to you, downtown Seattle (or any big city for that matter) may not be the best place for you to stay. That being said, this unit in the heart of Seattle--walkable to all the best Seattle has to offer-- and has high quality, noise muffling windows and heavy duty construction. Any questions about this, ask! We want our guests to be happy.
My wife, Sally and I are excited for you to stay with us! We originally purchased a condo in Belltown to use as a second home in the winter of 2007.
Because of our knack at hosting, great marketing and amazing design, what was just an investment has become a full time business. We currently have 30 properties in the heart of Downtown Seattle that we either own or manage on the behalf of others.
Sally is an interior designer by trade, and I'm sure you'll be able to tell when it comes to the quality items to help you feel comfortable while you are staying with us.
We take our position as hosts very seriously. Our condos are cleaned immaculately and have the best staff in the business. We are both foodies, and welcome the ability to share with you the best places in the city!
Thanks, and we look forward to hosting you!
Darik Eaton purchased this condo in 2009
This building is centrally located; close to the Pike Place Market, flagship Nordstrom, Space Needle and Seattle Center, and Seattle waterfront. We are surrounded by an eclectic urban neighborhood, full of shops, restaurants, and nightlife.
You will love our property! You can pack light. We provide everything you will need to make you comfortable during your stay. Besides towels and linens, we provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a starter supply of toilet paper and paper towels. A high chair and pack n play are available for a flat rental.
I go to Seattle often to visit family, but I normally stay South or North of the City. This time we chose to stay right downtown in this cute condo. I felt right at home here. My sister lived in this neighborhood for 4 years. It can be noisy at night on the weekends as the bars close down at 2 and everyone is heading out. The location is great though. There's a pizza place and a bakery just downstairs and a Starbuck's one block away. If you're away from your dogs and missing them, there's a dog park a few blocks away to get your puppy fix. It's near Dan's Grocery Market which is very clean market with super friendly staff. And of course, it's a quick walk to the Pike Place Market. SOV's staff member was very helpful and nice in getting us checked in and letting us know all the details about the building. It was ideal having on-site parking because we did get a rental car. As one other review mentioned, the bed was not comfortable. I'd have to agree. My sister was fine, but I slept on the couch. Even so, I would still stay there again.
Perfect location, convenient to everywhere in greater downtown Seattle. Well maintained, completely stocked with all the necessities. Will come back.
The condo was in a great location (easy walk to Pike Market) and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, and there was plenty of room. The management was very helpful. This this property included indoor parking - we didn't need it but it was very convenient. I would highly recommend this for someone looking to experience downtown Seattle. There is an awesome Italian Restaurant around the corner - LaVitaBella, it was our favorite of the trip and very close by.
I have to start out by saying that I have traveled and stayed in multiple places using HomeAway/VRBO and I have high expectations for what to expect. Seattle Oasis did not disappoint!!
When we walked in the unit, it was clean and looks EXACTLY like the picture...even bigger! Everything was in place and functional and it is about a 15 minute walk to the Market. Management was amazing the few times I needed to call them (to get a DVD player and to troubleshoot the cable box- its under the table if you do not see it). They have a binder that has all the information you need to make your stay memorable. The main thing for me was how clean it was. The towels, the bathroom, the sheets, everything was very clean. Even the couch was vacuumed!
A few pointers:
-During the day the living room gets hot. When you come back at night, open the back door and turn the fan on. It really cools down the unit.
-The walk back from Pike Place Market is up a VERY steep hill..be prepared.
-It is best to go to the Market first thing in the morning- it gets really busy.
-The Observatory has 360 degree views and better views than the Space Needle and it is cheaper
- Check out the Starbucks Reserve and Roastery. It is the only one and brews coffee that is exclusive to that shop.
Have fun and enjoy coming back to this unit at night to relax. There is some city noise but after walking around all day, you get into bed (which is really soft) and you fall asleep almost instantly! Seattle is a great place and this unit is in the PERFECT location to do all your sightseeing!!
Condo overall is decent. That said, mattress is in terrible shape and needs to be replace. Left side is collapsing and you feel like you are going to roll out. When I brought this to managements attention they said there was nothing they could do. Also said they have never had a complaint about it which I find hard to believe. Also, microwave did not work.
One other caution is that the unit is west facing and can get a bit heated on a sunny warm day. We had a portable AC unit for our visit which helped. If you had to leave windows open there is a fair amount of road noise you will hear.
We enjoyed our stay at the Tuscan Oasis! Fabulous walkable location for many of the sites of Seattle. We even were able to walk to our cruise ship with our luggage.
The Tuscan Oasis is well appointed and comfortable overall. The bed mattress is very lumpy and definitely needs to be replaced. There is a room air conditioner in bedroom which helps for comfort and white noise. Street noise can be noisy and delivery trucks come very early in the morning. This was not a big problem for us as we were still on East Coast time.
Our beautiful property is centrally located in downtown Seattle. From it, you are an easy walk from the waterfront, Pike Place Market, flagship Nordstrom and the retail core, and Seattle Center. 100's of restaurants are in this neighborhood, along with unique shops and nightlife.
