About Nancy McCardell

We live in Bay Saint Louis, Ms. which is 4 miles from the Inn in Pass Christian, Ms. We enjoy going to the condo and sitting on one of the balconies in the evening when it is not rented. Sometimes we sit on the balcony overlooking the pool and patio and sometimes the one overlooking the beach front. The two views are so totally different it makes for a very enjoyable

My husband and I have moved 30 times while he was in the Navy. While stationed in New Orleans we had the opportunity to visit Pass Christian and decided this is where we wanted to live. We bought a home and condo but they were both destroyed by Katrina, the devastating hurricane in 2005. We have rebuilt and life is back to what we all call our 'New

We enjoy having dinner on the balcony and inviting friends to join us.

The exercise room is a real plus as there are a number of nice exercise machines. The pool is artistically shaped and very refreshing. We love visiting our unit when not rented as much as people tell us they enjoy staying.

Peaceful and Serene

We stayed in this Unit in April of this year and enjoyed ourselves so much that we returned for another relaxing stay in June. We spent time on the quiet private beach, went to 2nd Saturday in Bay St Louis and definitely couldn't leave without going to Shaggy's again. Nancy is so easy and accommodating to work with durning the reservation part. And she has the best rental price on the Mississippi coast for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo directly on the beach. Her Unit is well stocked and clean. As I said in my review in April, we will definitely be back for another relaxing stay in this beautiful Unit. Thanks again Nancy.

Owner's Response: Thank you. You were perfect guests. So glad you had a good time at 2 ND Saturday. It is a great event every month. All the shops are open until 8 PM and serve refreshments. There is music in air and specials abound. Our many wonderful restaurants feature local seafood among other delicious entrees. Come visit our wonderful Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Nice view

Nice place. Great view of the ocean. We didn't spend much time there. The beds were uncomfortable & there were condiments etc left in the refrigerator. There was a lot of information regarding the area and local restaurants. Nancy came by , very nice lady.

Played some nice golf courses. The Bridges at the Hollywood Casino.. better have your "A" game if you play there, you'll loose a ball on every hole. The Oaks was nice as well, we played there a couple of times.

Diamondhead golf course is a must play course as well..

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice words about our beautiful gulf view. My husband is better, thank you. The queen bed does have a firm mattress. When purchased I was advised that that is the most popular type. The condiments and drinks are left in the refrigerator for guests use. Perhaps this needs to be reconsidered. Hope you had a nice trip back home and will return to the area again.

Great property!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The staff at the complex were great. We brought along our party barge and it was too large to park in the gate but they have another lot right across from the complex we were able to use. They kept a constant eye on our boat when we were away. Everyone was so very friendly. The unit it's self was so nice. The views were breathtaking. It was very clean and felt "like home." I do wish the bed in the master would have been bigger. We loved the location also. Very quiet and laid back. Very close to restaurants and there's a boat ramp just a few blocks away that accesses the bay and gulf. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful place!!

It was a very nice condo stocked with everything you need and we were really pleasantly surprised about the twin beds in the second bedroom. The owner super sweet to deal with I would definitely recommend this condo.

Very nice!

The property was really nice and comfortable. The pool was nice and conviently located to the beach. The unit was nice and equipped with every little thing you could use but forgot to pack. Umbrella's sunscreen and mosquito spray, priceless. The unit is spacious and comfortable. However, the carpet in bedroom is worn and should be removed!!

Just the best

If someone would want to get away from hustle and bustle of life, this is the place to be. It is filled with old and recent history. Being from Ohio, all we could do is watch the devistation of Katrina. When we planned our vacation, we never knew we could be so touched by that event 15 years later. Everyone we talked with and grew to know had a story and with all their joy and kindness, they rebuilt with their spirit and hard work one of the most beautiful places to visit and grow to love. Meeting the most gracious hostess, Nancy, was certainly a great way to start. Her kindness and considerations made us feel as she wanted to make us feel cared for. When we saw the basket in the bathroom with sunscreen, lotion, tylenol, aspirin, and all, we felt like we were home. All the amenities were very appreciated, esp the flashlights in every room. It may seem old fashioned but when you have been with out power for days, it really makes you feel more secure. When we walked into the condo and saw that ocean and view, we were completely captivated.

When we were out and about, we would tell people we were from out of town. Everyone's response was "Welcome to Mississippi" with a smile. Everyone has their story and they are so giving when one is interested.

Best place to meet locals is at the farmer's markets and at the pier when buying fresh fish and the best shrimp to cook and enjoy, the steamer works great.

We were fortunate enough to see many things along the beach. Some of the beach was fenced off to protect eggs of the least terns who just lay them on the sand. We saw eagles fly by, looking for fish we thought. One stormy day we saw a waterspout, luckily far out to sea. We also saw a rainbow. It was amazing to watch the change of the surf, the sand, and the sky.

To walk the beach and meet different people from locals to other visitors. The balcony proves to be a great living space for the day and cooling off place for the eve. Being poolside is another picture that can't be missed. The staff at the condos were gracious and friendly.

One suggestion to do would be to do a swamp tour. Very fun and cool. We saw things we will never see again. Honey Island took very good care of us.

We are missing the sand and sunshine already. We hope to be back. Thank you, Nancy
