This is a lovely tree-lined street with tall white buildings in the heart of Notting Hill. The area is probably better known for the antique markets on Portobello Road, and, of course, the film of the same name which starred Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant! There is a wonderful array of restaurants nearby and the flat is superbly located for all the main London attractions being on the Central, Circle and District tube lines and with a great supply of buses.
Our flat is situated on the second floor (no lift). Enter this elegantly decorated apartment into a delightful well-lit hallway. To your left there is a large sitting room which faces to the rear of the building. Your view out of the large sash window is over a rather wonderful tree making it feel very tranquil and obscuring any other buildings.
The sitting room is extremely homely and comfortable and centres around a gas fireplace. There is a large dining table with four chairs. There is also a double sofabed suitable for one adult, possibly two children at an additional cost - please see rates, armchairs and a desk. WiFi is available.
To the other side of the hallway is a large light and airy bedroom with King size bed or twin beds and plenty of cupboard space.
Also facing to the front of the building there is a small but practical kitchen with a washer dryer, microwave, oven and a fridge freezer. The compact bathroom has a shower over the bath, wash hand basin and toilet.
There's no better word to describe Notting Hill than 'colourful'. From the flowers and blossoms in the front gardens of the white-stuccoed townhouses, to the quirky, bright shop frontages along Portobello Road, Notting Hill is a treat for all your senses.
Sleeps 2 - 4 people.
Minimum one week, but thereafter additional nights are pro-rated.

We have had a great time, can't believe it has been almost two weeks -- thank you for arranging this, we've really enjoyed staying in an apartment rather than a hotel.
Totally charmed by this delightful, clean, quiet flat in Notting Hill; story-book decorated, bright and sunny. My conversations with Emily were a delight. We took advantage of her suggestion to supply a driver for us from the airport and also to purchasing some kitchen staples. Everything was at our finger-tips, including 3 tube lines within moments and grand restaurants! There was just one problem: the hot water heater died 2 days into our stay! Not to be deterred, Emily and Sue offered us another one of their properties (even larger - again, quiet and clean, with a beautiful giant chestnut tree right outside our kitchen/dining room window), going the extra mile in providing a taxi for our move. These people are wonderful. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property! Thank you Emily and Sue.
My Husband and I had a wonderful time in London. The flat was centrally located. There are 3 tube lines minutes away. The neighbourhood was delightful. Emily and Susan were very helpful. The street where the flat is on is quiet. The flat was clean and well equipped. It was lovely and bright. The bed, made into a King for us was very comfortable. There is lots of shopping nearby. I would stay here again.
The communication was good between manager and the area is perfect. However the flat itself needs some TLC. The furniture in sitting room is worn out and very stained as is the carpet and we found the beds to be rather uncomfortable. I was a little disappointed with that as the pictures do not show this and for the price I was expecting the best. The flat is also on the third floor which for some would not suit. However we enjoyed our stay and the maid who greeted was very friendly.
Having lived in England for over six years growing up, my sister and I were eager to make a trip back as a tribute to our parents and to walk down "Memory Lane". This apartment met all of our criteria and more. It had a wonderful traditional English decor and feel that took us back in time. The vase of fresh-cut yellow roses was a welcoming touch.
While in a nice, quiet, lovely neighborhood, the apartment was in close walking distance to the Underground Railroad with great access to everywhere, including food markets and restaurants.
The kitchen was well-equipped and the bathroom was roomy with a nice, deep, long tub. The Living/Dining area and bedroom were both spacious.
A wonderful home-base for a memorable trip!
We rented the Notting Hill apartment for a week and could not have been more pleased. The place looks even better than the pictures - large, sunny, spotless, quiet. Even the sleeper sofa was comfortable (which is rare!). Hot water and a strong shower made the stay perfect. Coming home from a long day wandering around London, it was great to be able to put our feet up and relax in the comfort of the apartment - it was so much better than a hotel.
Sue was a great help in arranging our stay, very prompt to respond to inquiries. We were let into the apartment upon arrival in London - there was someone waiting to let us in (along with fresh flowers!). Even during the stay, our questions were immediately answered. No problems with the financial transactions, the process was safe and secure.
The location was ideal. Just a few minutes walk to the Central/District Lines and a number of busses - easy to arrive from the airport (LHR), and simple to get around London during our stay. The area is beautiful - very high end, incredibly safe. The Portobello Road market is just around the corner, great pubs and restaurants in the neighborhood, and supermarket right down the street. Everything you need is a couple of minutes away.
We're planning on an annual trip, and are looking forward to returing to our Notting Hill home away from home next year!
After leaving my husband in Paris to return home to Australia, my dear girlfriend and I had a fabulous week in London during the Diamond Jubilee festivites. I had researched this property many months previously and it was a delight to arrive at Notting Hill to a beautifully clean apartment with fresh flowers in the lounge room. The photos displayed on the internet were accurate, the location excellent and the owner could not have been more helpful and considerate. One has to remember that this is an old building, so there is no lift and the apartment is on the 3rd floor. There are creaks and squeaks that are characteristic of a building this age which just add to its charm.
The apartment has a cosy, intimate feel and after a long day sight seeing it is a pleasure to relax in the lovely lounge room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower hot and strong.
We had a wonderful week.
