Paradise Grove Cottage is the perfect retreat in Sonoma County. Come stay with us and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Austin Creek with majestic Old Growth redwood trees towering above. Relax and unwind in our little corner of paradise.
This cottage is located just next to the grounds of the award-winning Raymond’s Bakery. While you are here, you are welcome to enjoy a sun-filled afternoon in the garden, take a dip in the Austin Creek swimming hole, play boccie ball relax under the gazebo, or nap under the apple tree. In the evenings you can partake in an old fashioned camp fire
Our bakery is always open Friday through Sunday with local musicians playing on Friday evenings for our Community Pizza, Beer & Wine Night.
Enjoy breakfast in your cottage or come by the bakery to sip a hot latte or espresso made with fresh ground organic fair trade coffee beans on our Redwood patio surrounded by centuries-old trees (our oldest is over 1,200 years old!).
Our cottages allow you to get away from it all! Or stay connected with our free wifi.
In addition to breakfast, Raymond’s Bakery offers sandwiches or pizza for lunch. Friday night is our Community Pizza, Beer & Wine Night, open until 9pm! Just check out our bakery web site (raymondsbakery) for our current seasonal hours. (Sonoma County has many other restaurants to enjoy.)
Want to explore the area? Check out the Russian River Chamber of Commerce website to find out what’s happening in the area. Within a 20-minute drive you can explore the Pacific Coast, Russian River Wineries, Armstrong Woods State Preserve, Northwood Golf Course or canoeing & kayaking on the Russian River.

Some recent reviews from our guest log:
'What a Blessing! Thanks Mark and Elizabeth for sharing Paradise Grove and your inspiring story. We pray that everyone who visits will find the same peace we experienced here. I will be making plans to visit soon and hopefully every year. What a great way to experience our 10 year anniversary. Thanks again, and may God Bless your family and business.'

'Thank you, Mark and Elizabeth!! What a beautiful and enchanting life and property you have created and shared. Such a special gift you have and continue to create... we feel so blessed to have shared in your joy. We will, no doubt, return and enjoy the myriad of pleasure you have offered: peace and quiet, glorious nature, Friday night music, ice-cold beer, the BEST pizza ever, creek walks with the pups... the list goes on and on. For 3 nights and 4 days of wonderment and rejuvenation, we thank you.'

Fifteen years ago I fell in love with an abandoned restaurant with four tired cottages on three acres of wild blackberries and old growth redwoods on Austin Creek. It has been an exhausting/exhilarating labor of love that has enriched our lives in more ways than I ever imagined. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have!
Mark Weiss purchased this cottage in 2002
We spent nine years walking past this cottage and dreaming of living there someday. Imagining having a cup of coffee on the front deck in the morning with the gentle babble of the creek for company. When it finally came up for sale, we bent over backward to be able to make our dream come true. We hope that you will enjoy being a part of our dream.
We own and are the bakers at Raymond's Bakery Bed & Breakfast just a three minute walk around the redwoods. So be ready for some gold-medal baked goodies to welcome you to our corner of paradise. We can also share the secrets of a few swimming holes and where to find the best skipping stones. The cottage is directly across from the creek. You can hear the babbling from the bedroom windows as you fall asleep.
This was our 3rd visit and absolutely love coming here. Mark, the owner, is the best host and also an amazing baker. Delicious bread, pastries and pizza. Wil be back!!
While we didn't get to meet Mark, we did get to experience his reputable hospitality (he dropped off breakfast, a new lamp, and freshly roasted coffee) and enjoy the wonderful cottage. We knew ahead of time the bakery wasn't going to be open, and wanted a spot between Sonoma and the coast so we could choose either direction as we liked. Highly recommended for the amenities, location (if you want remote!), and friendliness of the host. Will definitely visit Cazadero and Mark's properties again!
Our second stay at Elim Grove Cottages and it did not disappoint. You can't beat the setting in Cazadero underneath the majestic redwoods and alongside Austin Creek. Quiet, serene, beautiful and relaxing. The cottages are what I would expect in the Russian River area and have the right amount of necessities and comforts to keep you relaxed during your stay. The adjoining bakery is sinful and the pastries that come out of there on the weekend are amazing. Friday night is Community Pizza night and they do not disappoint. Incredibly yummy, well prices drinks and a great atmosphere are all present and our entire family enjoyed themselves tremendously.
Elim Grove, Gold Medal Bakery is a gem and we will be back without question. Thank you to Raymond and Patti for always going the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome.
My family of four stayed in the larger cabin and could not be happier. Clean and rustic, our two bed bungalow was off the road and provided convenient access to the creek and bakery while being extremely private. Arrive Friday early evening for music, pizza, and wine bar. The bakery was open early both Saturday and Sunday making breakfast treats and coffee. A great launching pad for checking out the coast, river, or town. Not a snooty spa — for those looking for a local vibe. We'll be back.
We came back to Raymond's Bakery because we had such a great time during our first visit. This time, my group came up for some rock climbing, and the cottage was the perfect place to come back, relax, and make some dinner.
Mark was extremely accommodating and treats his guests like old friends. We will definitely be coming back here!
If I could give 6 stars, I would.
Loved staying here, this cottage is perfect size for 2 couples - and the wood burning stove makes it incredibly warm on a cold winter night. Free coffee and delicious/fresh pastries is an extra bonus. Would definitely recommend.
