Captain’s Bay Condominiums are located directly across the street from Fort Myers Beach “Best Beach” (Adjacent to the Wyndam, previously the Holiday Inn). You will see miles of sandy white beach here. Take the trolley to “Times Square” or to the Ft. Myers Pier at the north end of the island. Dinner cruises are available nearby or try a round trip day cruise to Key West. Or maybe rent a boat in the adjacent Marina and visit the beautiful back bays. Captain’s Bay is the perfect vacation getaway!

I acquired this condo in 2010. The condo was never rented by the previous owner. And the condo was built in 1998. Truly immaculate, neat, uncluttered condo. Rental only to someone 35 and older.

Why Diego Urrutia chose Fort Myers Beach

The close walking distance to the beach, sandwich shops, restaurants, convenience stores, the post office, shops, marina, golf, movie theater, on and on & on. All within a short walk. You don't find this anywhere else on Ft. Myers beach. Biggest reason of all is the superwide beach that exists only on this part of the island.

What makes this condo unique

A two sided lanai, that has a terrific cross breeze and is quiet too because you are up high on the 5th floor (Really the 6th, first floor is the under building parking and elevator lobby. Private parking space designated for this unit which is under the building, out of the rain and conveniently into the elevator lobby without ever getting wet. Secure building with keyed entry/access code.

Beautiful condo with all the amenities

My husband , my 19 year old son, and I stayed here and found this condo to be spacious allowing us to have privacy as the bedroom and baths were at opposite ends of the open concept living area. We appreciated the washer and dryer off the kitchen area too. It is tastefully decorated and well supplied. We also enjoyed the pool and tennis courts. This condo is conveniently located to area restaurants and less than a five minute walk to the expansive white sands of Fort Myers Beach. The owner, Diego, was very accommodating and answered all of our questions .promptly. We will definitely return next year .

Christmas at Captains Bay

My husband and I and our 2 adult daughters enjoyed a 2 weeks escape from the Canadian cold at Diegos condo in Dec 2015. The description and photos on homeaway are entirely accurate, the condo was clean and decorated as shown, comfortable and more than adequate for our stay. There was pretty much everything you need in the kitchen, the only thing I missed was a blender. I also appreciated some staples being there already, dishwasher detergent, dishsoap, laundry detergent, paper towels, tp so you don' t have to run out immediately. We liked being able to park right by the elevator in the shade, the 2 pools were lovely and we never had an issue finding a lounge chair to sun at. The beach is a short walk across the street through the Wyndhams parking lot, and is lovely. The Wyndham offers water sports for reasonable prices and cabana/lounge chairs for $20 a day, but we used Diegos chairs that he has in a storage area by the parking spot. Although frequent visitors to many other parts of Florida over the years this was our first time in Fort Myers Beach and we loved it. Not pretensious, lots of great restaurants around, lots of things to see and do within an hours drive. We did Everglades City/airboating one day, Naples and the zoo another as the girls had fond memories of it when their grandparents owned a condo there for many years. Sanibel and Captiva another day, which brings me to my biggest negative, traffic. Getting on/off FMB at the north end of the island can take considerable time as it is a one lane street each way , same thing on Sanibel/Captiva but it is a touristy area, I guess you have to expect it. Exiting the island on the south end is out of the way but at least you are moving. Another negative was the 1 grocery store Publix certainly takes advantage of tourists with very expensive prices for groceries. I would assume off island stores in Fort Myers itself are better? We enjoyed eateries Nervous Nellies, Doc Fords down by Times Square area and Skyes, South Beach and Pinchers near the condo. Diego gives you some good advice regarding restaurants, rentals etc and we will have to go again to sample more of the fun of the area. There are also tons of tiki bars/happy hours to take advantage of, although my freshly turned 19 year old daughter was not impressed by being " carded" pretty consistently, even though she was with us, as age in Florida is 21. Lastly, Diego was great to deal with, we will be back! The Nairns

Awesome fifth floor view

Condo was clean and very comfortable with many delightful amenities. The owner was very prompt in responding to our questions after we arrived.

The sunrise view from the lanai was beautiful. The location of the condo was within walking distance to the beach, good restaurants, boat excursions, and other fun rentals. Driving time in our car was minimal, during our stay. Would consider returning. :)

Beautiful condo and great location!

The condo was beautiful , very comfortable and had everything we could possibly want. Loved sitting on the lanai overlooking the canal. The pool was beautiful and perfectly heated for us Northerners! There were great restaurants within walking distance. We especially liked Pinchers and the Fish House. We rented kayaks right around the corner and had a great experience! Took the trolley conveniently located right out front of the condo down to the beach for the day. You won't find a better place to stay, and you could easily get away without renting a car. Thanks Diego for everything!

Excellent location

Went with a girlfriend to get away from snow and be active! We really appreciated the security, decor & cleanliness of the condo and it had everything we needed. First thing was to open a couple Coronas to toast our long trip, turned around and there was a bottle opener magnet on frig! Sat on balcony overlooking a canal & trees. We kayaked with Crazy Women kayaks a couple blocks away which also has a Marina to rent boats or fish. Santini Plaza is next to kayak place with small shops and restaurants, which have great seafood and a flea market on Tues. & Sat. An amazing beach across the road from condo and Diego has beach chairs, towels, cooler & bag. Trolley bus close by if you want to go to busier Fort Myer Beach. Massage therapist only 5 blocks away which I needed. Short drive to Sanibel Island where we rented bikes for $10 but traffic is bumper to bumper on Estero Blvd. til you cross bridge. Deposit returned within a week. Perfect getaway. Would definitely recommend & go back. Diego easy to communicate with.

We arrived at the condo on Saturday and we were exhausted from the long drive. The condo felt homey and so very comfortable. After a few days of relaxing and getting familiar with our surroundings we started exploring the area. The pool area was perfect - everyone was so friendly and informative. It was a joy to return to our beautiful condo after venturing out - it has every amenity you want - as good as being in my own kitchen. The condo is decorated with great taste. The view was great and it was a pleasure sitting on the lanai in total peacefulness. Perfect place to rest and close to wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed our walks every day and felt safe. Santini mall was so handy and the Wyndgate across the street was perfect for leisurely drinks and dinner at Pinchers. Beaches across the street was an extra feature that was new to us. It was great. Thank you Diego for being so quick with any of our requests. We hope to return in the very near future. I would highly recommend this great place.
