Convenient and comfortable.

It was the first time for the family (of 6) in Vail, CO and we had no idea what to expect. The home was perfect! Comfortable and convenient, it gave us a home away from home and allowed us to explore the area while feeling like we were coming home every night.

Perfect home for winter holidays

My family rented this townhouse for the winter holidays two years in a row and cannot recommend it enough. One thing we loved was being in a place without the aseptic feel of cookie-cutter rentals. This house has all of the comforts you would expect from being in someone’s home as well as the awesome quirks of being in the home of people you’ve never met.

The layout of the house works very well, with the communal spaces on the lowest floor and one bedroom in each of the upper 3. The kitchen is small but has everything you might need, including good knives and pots as well as those pesky things you likely forgot like a few basic spices and aluminum foil. There are lots of windows and skylights throughout the house that let in lots of natural light - perfect in winter but might get you up early in the summer! The house is well insulated and it’s possible to adjust the temperature of each room separately. The dog particularly enjoyed the heated floors downstairs.

Even when the house is really close to the main East Vail road (2 min walk to the bus stop, 15 min bus ride to the Vail Village transportation center) it still feels quite private and you cannot hear traffic or the neighbors from inside. Almost all of the general stores (grocery, gas, etc) are in one cluster all the way in West Vail but one perk of this place is that the East Vail Market is within walking distance. The roads are well plowed and, while there are no sidewalks, the shoulders are wide.

We really had a wonderful time staying at this house and will definitely try to stay there again next time we are in Vail.
