Compliments of RVA, Beach Castle Resort expands from the bayside of Longboat Key to the Gulf – providing a place to launch your kayak and cast a line, a chance to spot exotic birds that stop here for our mild temperatures and to view a picture-perfect sunset over the Gulf of Mexico -- all courtesy of Mother Nature.
The grounds here are impeccable – from the well-manicured vegetation to the vast palm trees that dot this serene Longboat Key location. The buildings at Beach Castle are the color of sunshine and are accented by Bahama shutters and railings that resemble palm trees. Each unit is individually owned, which means no unit is alike and provides a unique vacation experience to our guests. However, all units provide a full kitchen, living room and private lanais – never compromising the comforts of home.
This secluded hideaway exudes a classic charm that, as vacationers, we yearn for. A place to get away from it all, relish in the Florida sunshine and reconnect with family and friends; all this while enjoying white-sand beaches, privacy and most importantly, vacation memories that last a lifetime.

Dining: Although Beach Castle Resort does not feature an on-site restaurant, it is centrally located to nearby hotspots – some within walking distance! Our recommendation is The Blue Dolphin Café, a local favorite that features the flavors of the island and is just a short stroll from your front door. Longboat Key restaurants include Harry’s Continental Kitchens, Euphemia Haye Restaurant and The Haye Loft Lounge & Dessert Room, The Dry Dock Waterfront Grill, Mattison’s Steakhouse, and MarVista Backside Restaurant and Pub.
Attractions: Longboat Key is rich in high-end boutiques and five-star restaurants making it an ideal destination for vacationers who like their beach getaway on the swankier side. As a barrier island to the town known as the area's "cultural capital", an assortment of entertainment options can be found at nearby Sarasota where attractions and activities abound for all age groups.
The island of Longboat Key is home to several premier, private golf courses, however nearby Sarasota and Bradenton areas offer top-rated golf courses a short drive off the island for golfers of every handicap.
The Centre Shops is located just north of Beach Castle Resort and includes shopping options of art galleries, restaurants, a dry cleaner, pharmacy and a UPS store – all the ingredients for the perfect spot to pick-up all your necessary beach essentials and remembrances. If you’re looking for higher-end shopping, traveling to Lido Key’s St. Armand’s Circle is well worth the trip. Rumor has it that circus magnate John Ringling won Lido Key in a poker game that turned the sister island of Longboat Key into a world-famous attraction.
Our family stayed at Beach Castle over the 4th of July long weekend. Apartment had all the amenities needed, spacious and comfortable for 6-8 people. Front desk was very helpful they gave us a tour of the facility which includes a pool, beach access, BBQ, boat dock. Please keep in mind some of the apartments are across the street from the beach, so you need to cross main road to get to it. Also if you are meeting family (as we did) parking is very limited only for 1 car, any additional cars need to park few blocks away (provided by the hotel) restaurants and supermarkets are also near by for your comfort.
Wonderful place to stay when visiting Longboat Keys. Plenty of space for the four adults that were in our party. Lots of closet space big bedrooms and living area. Kitchen had everything you would need for a vacation stay. Check in and check out was very easy and fast. Only issue we had was the parking. Only allowed one spot and a couple times someone else was parked in it even though they are clearly marked. We had two cars but we were given a pass to park the extra car down the street. About a quarter of mile from condo but worked out fine for us. Overall great place for the price!
Your basic two bedroom condo but
1 . No view of the bay
2. No washer/dryer in the unit
3. Not enough chairs on the beach. If you didn't have a towel on a chair by 9am you were out for the whole day.
4. DVD and TV in living room didn't work.
5. Unit is rather dark. Not much natural light.
6. Obnoxious high schoolers having a party until 1 am while their parents were across the street partying.
7. Unpaved parking areas - painful to wear flip flops with gravel and shells always in them.
I would avoid any RVA property.
Would we stay here again? NO
Good location, beautiful beach, lovely condo, everything clean and staff were perfect. We had a non functioning toilet in 2nd bath but they fixed it within a couple of hours! A little short or parking so don't plan to bring more than one car or have a big party but we always found a spot. Hope to come back again!
