About Karyn Spreeman

We live in Hendersonville, NC and have been coming to Boone since 1968 when my twin sister attended ASU. In 1996 we purchased this home because two of our children were attending ASU and then our son, who graduated from Carolina, chose to attend ASU for graduate school. We found the spaciousness of the home and the location, so private but close to Boone, as an ideal location. After our children graduated from ASU, our youngest daughter, married and decided to remain in Boone. Hence we kept the house and have had a wonderful time visiting our home in the mtns.

Why Karyn Spreeman chose High Country & Blue Ridge Mountains

We purchased this home in 1996 because three out of six of our children attended ASU and we found this location ideal. After the children graduated, we decided to keep our home for week-end getaways and have had a great time selecting furniture & decorating our home to reflect the mtns around us. We find the privacy, open floor plan and large deck ideal for enjoying family & entertaining friends. So much so that we decided to start sharing this with our friends.

What makes this house unique

Being close to town, private, easy access, open floor plan, large kitchen, huge deck for entertaining and closeness to shopping, skiing and ASU. Our level drive and 4 step entry makes access 'a plus'!

Gorgeous Home, Great Owner!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Spreeman's Roost while taking part in the Little Tarheel state baseball tournament. This home is beautiful and in a great location. My family and the family that stayed with us were very comfortable in the spacious bedrooms and living area. Karyn was extremely accommodating and friendly! She really went above and beyond to make sure we were able to stay here! I would highly recommend Spreeman's Roost and I can assure you that we will be trying to stay here the next time we visit Boone! Thank you so much Karyn for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home!!

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed staying in Spreeman's Roost. We had a great graduation weekend. Being close to ASU and all the stores was perfect for us. There was plenty of room to park family and get in and out easily. Since the weather was nice we could also enjoy the deck and take great pictures. The family members that stayed overnight were very comfortable in the spacious rooms. Thank you.

Ideal Location, Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

Our group (4 ASU alumni) had a great weekend in Boone at Spreeman's Roost. It was an easy drive to either Blowing Rock or Boone for groceries, restaurants, ASU Football and hiking on the parkway. The house suited our needs perfectly and we enjoyed our stay very much. The decorations and family touches were appreciated. Thank you for making our visit so carefree and relaxing.

Beautiful place; beautiful vacation

  • 5 of 5

My brother, his wife and I visited for four nights and had a wonderful time. The house is more charming than its photos and felt welcoming as soon as we entered.

It was professionally decorated and was filled with everything that we could need for our stay.

The house is perfectly located in Boone with easy access to restaurants and close proximity to Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. Thank you, Karyn, for making our stay truly special.

Simply Perfect !

  • 5 of 5

The house was a perfect spot for our company trip. We usually stay in hotels, but your home was more cost effective with the size of our group (4) and what a nice surprise it was! It was a pleasure coming home each evening to a relaxing comfortable home instead of a simple hotel room. We will definitely return--thank you for opening your home to us! Thanks for the fresh flowers in the house as well--nice touch!

Wonderful Home in a Beautiful Setting

  • 5 of 5

We spent new years at this home, and had a wonderful stay! This home is in a great location, close to town and easy to drive to without a 4 wheel drive vehicle - even in the snow and ice. The home is very well equipped, more like you are visiting a friends house than the typical "rental" home. Very comfortable beds with extra blankets and pillows if needed. The homes layout was perfect for our visit with three generations. My parents were in the master on the main, my family of four had the "half" level with 2 bedrooms and half bath, and my sisters family with newborn had the second level master. Absolutely great home, and easy to correspond with the owner. Would highly recommend this home to friends and family! We hope to return again soon!
