Loved the cabin

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the cabin and the surrounding area. The cabin itself exceeded our expectations. My only disappointment was that the river was not readily accessible from the cabin. You could drive up the street to the public access near M-28 or there was access from a 2-track across the main road from the cabin.

Serene U.P Escape!!

  • 5 of 5

This log cabin has everything AND more when visiting the Munising/Marquette area. For starters the cabin is a lovely escape that makes you feel at home once you enter and it's filled with literature on things to do in the area, places to eat, and trail maps. I recommend the Pictures Rocks boat cruise, kayaking, locating as many of the magnificent waterfalls Munising has, and soak up some culture in Downtown nearby Marquette. The cabin is well stocked, clean & has everything you need. Munising is truly the best city in the U.P, between the friendly people, tasty pasty pies, and beautiful Lake Superior! You are sure to fall in love with it, I know I have and will definitely come back!!

Wonderful, scenic and serene

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I rented this cabin for a week because we love Munising and the Pictured Rocks. We were so pleased with the cabin, which was much larger and more beautiful than we had even expected. Our teenage son and his friend stayed in the loft and they enjoyed having their own area in the house. This house was reasonably priced and really added a whole other level of enjoyment to our vacation.

Peace, Serenity and Beauty in the U.P.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property over Labor Day weekend and I was tickled with it. It provides that perfect ambiance that you would want from a log cabin nestled in the woods. It was clean and well stocked with everything you might need. The sheets of the bed had that wonderful fresh clean smell. The first day we were there the weather was very chilly and it poured rain all day. That was actually fine with me because we lit a fire, cooked some good food and snuggled in and read our books. The second day we were there it was sunny and warm. We went to the nearby beach on Lake Superior (maybe one mile away) and it was just gorgeous. One of the finest beaches I have ever seen. We spent the day exploring the U.P. but the highlights for me were all the beaches along that coast. There are also waterfalls and beautiful cliffs and lighthouses along the way. Very relaxing getaway. Makes a person dream of owning a log cabin.

Very Nice Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our hosts Wayne & Kaye were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one even sending us literature about the area's activities prior to our stay. The log cabin is new, decorated very nicely, and had all the amenities of home. It is also located close to canoeing, Lake Superior, and all the water falls and Pictured Rocks National Seashore which was our main destination. We found so much more than Pictured Rocks and went to Grand Island which was a delightful trip and wonderful experience that we had not expected. I would highly recommend this cabin to families or adults. We hope to return sometime when our grand children are older and can take an 8 hour ride to get to this unique area. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
