Completely renovated 2 bedroom/2 bath 1256 sq ft. within a stone's throw to the Pacific Ocean! When you enter the unit you will be taken back by the breath-taking unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. Open the patio door and immediately feel the ocean breeze from the trade winds and smell the fresh salt-water air! The next morning you will awaken to the warm glow of sunrise. You can sit on the lanai with your first cup of coffee and enjoy the boat traffic from the river right next to the building. You are also located right on the walking/bike path called Ke Ala Hele Makalae ('the path that goes by the coast') that will eventually go from Nawiliwili to Anahola. During season you will see whales breaching from your lanai. You now know what paradise feels like.

The condo is on the 1st floor in Building A unit 101 at the Pono Kai Resort, within steps of the ocean. You will be lulled to sleep in the master bedroom with the gentle sound of the ocean surf. Portable Air Conditioning Unit for your comfort in the bedrooms at night during the summer months.The unit is now fully updated: a new kitchen with granite counter-tops/new cooktop self-cleaning oven, full size microwave oven, tons of cabinet space and more. There are new marble floors/walk-in marble shower in the master bath & a new deep soaking tub in the guest bath. There all new window coverings and a hotel bed concept where all linens are laundered between guests!. A complete new tropical designed furniture package has arrived! It features a full size washer/dryer in the unit, which is an unusual feature on-site. There is FREE wireless WI-FI service in the unit. There are amenities galore to lighten your luggage weight. Large beach towels/beach chairs/cooler/hair dryers/shampoo, conditioner, shower gel dispenser in the shower are all provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, you will not need to worry about running out and buying that essential item to cook with. Enjoy your first pot of complimentary coffee, and if you plan on cooking spices are available.

You will find your condo in the Beautiful Pono Kai Resort with 12 acres of meticulously manicured grounds in addition to koi ponds and amenities listed below. It is in the historic town of Kapaa, centrally located on the East Side of Kauai, it is convenient to all of the Garden Isle attractions, only 15 minutes from Lihue Airport and walking distance from many restaurants, grocery, and fun shops and stores.

The resort itself provides free parking and the parking for the 'A' building is right out front. For your convenience the front desk is open 24 hrs and there is an activities desk in the lobby so you can arrange your island adventures.

I require a minimum age of 25 years or older to rent. Proof of age may be requested at time of rental. Children accompanied with parents are fine.

Why The Owner chose Kauai

I live here year round and I also live in Kapaa. Kapaa is a real local town with very friendly residents and with more of a laid back feeling than other areas of the Island.

This a very centrally located resort, you will arrive at your sightseeing destination within 45 minutes of car travel, excluding Waimea canyon and the west side which takes about 1 hour 15 mins. Pono Kai is a well maintained and respected resort condo complex with years of operating experience. It is located right in the heart of charming Kapaa town, with restaurants and shopping within one block.

Complimentary late-check out if arranged at time of booking and can be accommodated.

Best of the Bunch!!

This condo had it all! Including, get this-- it was right next to a Pokemon stop. My kids loved it!The unit is very well maintained and equipped. The washer/dryer and bedroom A/C units were a saving grace. Because of a tropical storm the weather was unusually humid and we would not have survived a night without that, which apparently is rare at Pono Kai. We celebrated a family reunion utilizing 4 different beach front units and 2 of those were owned by Susan and by far much nicer than the others. The key code locks were also very convenient as we had no worries about the kids loosing or forgetting keys. The location was walking distance to shopping, dining, and directly on the ocean with beach (although not one of the life guarded beaches) and a 4 mile walking/bike path. Susan is a local islander herself and truly a professional vacation rental owner. Every aspect of our stay, from initial inquiries to deposit refund, was beyond our expectations. I highly recommend!

Paradise and comfort by the ocean!

WOW! What a beautiful condo and what an amazing experience! We have rented various places on Kauai and by far and away, this condo and our experience with the owner was the BEST we've ever had! The owner was flexible, attentive/responsive, and really truly has created a place for families/couples to stay that feels like HOME. We actually did not need to bring much because it was so well stocked - from sunscreen to spices to beach mats, and almost everything in between, we were thrilled with all the "extras" that made our stay so much nicer and easier. (Next time, we will definitely bring less.)

The condo itself was immaculately clean with very nice decorative touches throughout the entire unit. It has a beautiful, open layout that all of our friends thought was awesome (and some of them were staying at a "fancy" resort....). Overall, we had an amazing time and would love to stay there again. From the stunning view of the ocean, being a corner unit, and just the overall "home" feel because it was so well stocked with basic items that allowed us to cook, clean, and otherwise go about our days effortlessly, this place was AMAZING!

Pono Kai is an awesome resort with so many things to do too! From the pool to shuffle board and all the other fun lawn games they had available - we loved every second. Oh - and barbecues all over the grounds? So great! We loved being able to barbecue some meals and have a nice hang out with friends. (The staff at Pono Kai were great too!) Pono Kai was also very close to so many of the great shops/restaurants we love. Being walking distance to Javai Kai was GREAT!!! (or should I say, ONO!) The condo itself is super close to the walking path that runs along the ocean, so again, just a spectacular location no matter how you look at it. I cannot say enough good things!!

Just an amazing vacation overall, and I know that staying here was a HUGE and vital part of what made our vacation an amazing one. Thank you Pono Kai Girl - you are awesome!! Can't wait to come back!

Kapaa Vacation Condo

Just spent a week in Kapa'a with my sister and cousins. The condo is very spacious and well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, games, snorkels and beach supplies. The location is ideal being so close to the beach, bike and running paths and downtown Kapa'a. It is only a short drive to both the north and south side of Kauai. The condo was great for four people and I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Susan for everything!

Excellent Property - Great Location - Perfectly Appointed

Unit is a step above most condo's. Everything is upgraded. Well stocked kitchen, including spices, etc and many items that you typically don't see in rental units. Lots of beach and pool gear left by previous renters or the owner. Other than food, no need to buy anything to have a great visit here. Unit was spotless, well organized, and very easy to make yourself at home. AC units in bedrooms are a definite plus!

Owner Susan is very responsive and cooperative, and makes it easy to communicate.

You can't go wrong with this condo!

Large condo - immaculate and great location

This condo is larger than most with plenty of room to spread out. Susan keeps it well stocked with cooking supplies and toiletries. My husband fell while we were there, and we even found an ample supply of band aids! There is a large yard in which to pull out the patio chairs and enjoy the view of the water.

I like the Kapa'a location because it's central to everything. We could walk to restaurants and shops, and easily drive to others. Nothing is very far away. We traveled south one day to Waimea Canyon and traveled north to Hanalei another day. Both make nice day trips with plenty of time to be back to the condo for wine hour!

Susan was easy to work with, friendly, and accessible. This is an excellent place to stay!
