Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We had plenty of room and everything was very accommodating.
Our grandchildren enjoyed the natural habitat around the house and all of the books in the house. Thanks again!
What a beautiful and relaxing setting for a family gathering! The layout was perfect for a multi-generation family, with first floor bedrooms/bath, and a loft master bedroom separate enough from the main living area to allow a toddler uninterrupted sleep. The kitchen was well equipped with everything available to prepare meals for a group. There were extra bath towels and washcloths in each bathroom. The furniture, although worn, was comfy and clean. The beds in the loft and first floor bedroom were comfortable. There were several outdoor seating areas in various locations on the grounds. The camp fire area had new Adirondack chairs. Both side porches had plenty of seating and the surrounding woods were beautiful. A lovely year round setting in the Hocking Hills!
Great location in Hocking Hills area. There was plenty of room for six adults and two children. Loved the spacious kitchen and great room. Two suggestions: add a dehumidifier in the lower level, and clean the windows to better enjoy the view.
What a great weekend! The cabin was all that we hoped for it to be and then some. The place was very clean and well-maintained. It should be noted that the kitchen looks to have been completely remodeled recently and they should update the listings photos, because it looks great. Instead of writing a large paragraph of a review I'll just list short pros and cons of this cabin. First off cons....there aren't really any. I guess if I had to nitpick it would be the well water taste and the effect it has had on the bathroom tubs (i.e. rust stains). The pros: Peacefully secluded but accessible to many local hiking trails. Large layout and size. Close firepit. Hot tub was nice. Well maintained. Direct-Tvs.
I'll end with a "you'll not be disappointed to stay here". We will be back next year, that's a promise.
Thanks to the owners for such a lovely place.
Home was clean and comfortable. Only bad thing was bath tubs were badly stained and probably need replacing.
The listing is accurately described online, so there were no surprises about things missing, etc. We we within 15 minutes of Rock House, Old Man's Cave, Conkel's Hollow, Cantwall Cliffs, ATV riding, and paint balling, all of which we easily did in a four day stay. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a larger place to stay. There are 3 queen beds and 2 sets of bunk beds so it sleeps 10 before having to think about sleeping bags, etc. There is no wi-fi but we got reception inside the cabin with T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon phones.
The Butterfly Haven Lodge was fantastic!! It really was. The house was nice on the inside and slept twelve people very comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed and the big dinning room table was perfect. We stayed for four days and never saw anyone which was awesome; we loved the privacy and seclusion. We loved the big fire pit and the surrounding wooded area as well.. Everything was clean and it was awesome I was allowed to bring my dog as well. One of the best things about this cabin is that it is very easy to find and is only around one hour from the Columbus area. I have stayed here twice now and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice secluded three or four day getaway.
