Maggie Valley Cabin Rental Photos and Description

two story, 3 bedroom, 2 full baths, sleeps 5, master on main floor

Minutes away from the Smokies or the Blue Ridge and with year round views, this clean as a whistle cabin provides the perfect set up for families and friends with 2 bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. A TV upstairs that streams Netflix exclusively, board games plus a table top hockey game, the kids only need to come down for meals. For mom and dad, luxury is in the details. With an oversized master and kingsized, four poster oak bed, fall asleep while streaming a Netflix movie. Awake with blue skies peeking through the skylight over your bed. How romantic!

You'll feel right at home with a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, TVs upstairs and in the master with streaming Netflix, in the living room full cable TV and high speed wireless Internet throughout. You will enjoy the beauty and comfort of new berber carpets installed in 2015 in all the bedrooms. We want you to have everything you need for the perfect vacation in our carefully maintained cabin. Linens and paper products are provided along with fixings for your first morning breakfast.

About the cabin: Additional skylights peeking through the pine tongue and groove vaulted ceilings of the living room make you feel like you are in the tree house of your dreams. You can even enjoy a sky lighted view when showering or bathing in the second floor bath! With two good-sized bedrooms, a full bath, second TV and private deck on the second floor, the second floor becomes a private suite for a second couple or the kids. You'll find a queen bed and single bed upstairs to accommodate 3 guests. During the day, you'll appreciate the spacious living room with wood burning fireplace, the comfortable eat-in kitchen with all major appliances, and of course the wonderful rocking chair porch.

Convenient paved access, wood burning fireplace, 2 phones, air conditioning, baseboard heat, 3 cable TV's, VCR/DVD player, VCR movie library, stereo, CD player, board games, washer, dryer, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, cooking utensils, linens, BBQ grill.

Activities: Mystic Mountain provides an opportunity for wonderful long and scenic hikes when you walk out the cabin door. From the cabin, situated at an elevation of 3300 feet, visitors can walk to the top of Killian Knob at an elevation of almost 4000 feet. A wonderful creek tumbles through the cove formed below Killian Knob and can be enjoyed while hiking around the hollow.

Outdoor activities in and around Maggie include hiking, trout fishing, boating, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, bird watching, golfing, tubing, swimming, and downhill skiing. For the kids or young at heart try paintball, miniature golf, go-karts, ride on the Great Smoky Railroad, gem mining, visit Soco Garden Zoo, catch a movie. Visit the Cherokee Indian Reservation and the historic recreation of a 1700s Oconaluftee Indian Village plus the Qualla Arts and Crafts Shop. Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

Surrounding Area: You will be only minutes from the Ingles, a wonderful grocery store in Waynesville. Waynesville is a quaint little artist community with unique restaurants and great one of a kind shops. You can be at the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville in 30 minutes. Of course, Maggie Valley has its own unique flavor with wonderful shops, great food, and monthly events. You are 20 minutes from Harrah's Casino in Cherokee. In 20 minutes you can be at the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited national park in the nation. About Donna Boxman

First visiting The Great Smoky Mountains around 1956, as an eight year old I could have never envisioned actually living close by. Now over 40 years later, my husband and I are the owners of a wonderful second home in Maggie Valley and regular visitors to the park. The photo to the left highlights Waterrock Knob just a short ride from Mystic Mountain to this spectacular sunset on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Why Donna Boxman chose Maggie Valley/Waynesville Area

Born in North Carolina, I have always had a love of this wonderful state. Once we visited Maggie the first time as a family we couldn't imagine a better place to have a second home. Maggie and the surrounding area have everything available to us that we enjoy doing, hiking, fishing, antiquing to name a few. My son and daughter, now adults, love to get away from it all at the cabin, one of the most peaceful places in our lives.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation! Enjoyed the cabin, especially the porch- we enjoyed watching the birds come to the feeders and even a little chipmunk cane to eat the seeds the birds dropped! Beautiful weather - sunny days and very cool nights - Joey's was great as always. The cabin was so well equipped. We ate in most of the time. You have a very homey place. - thanks for sharing!

Wonderful mountain getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our group of three wanted to escape the heat for a few days on a somewhat last-minute cabin trip. We lucked out finding Mystic Mountain in Maggie Valley. The location was perfect--extremely easy to find and located right behind Maggie Valley Club. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful and provided perfect accommodations for the three of us. The decor was mountain-appropriate but not cheesy, and everything was very comfortable. Kitchen essentials were available, including an extensive collection of spices. Relaxing on the porch was one of our favorite things to do. We chose to take the weekend to relax and get some rest, but we heard of many nearby places to hike and get outside, which we plan to explore in the future. We plan to return very soon and would wholeheartedly recommend Mystic Mountain to our friends!

Our family of five were looking for a Great place to stay and do some hiking in the Smokey Mountains. This property was an excellent home away from home. Probably the best appointed home we have stayed in, not a thing was missing. Plenty of plates, pots and pans, bowls, Spices, perfect for a family looking to do some home style cooking instead of eating our every night. This home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your home. The Maggie Valley is also a beautiful spot, very relaxing. The Perfect Mountain Getaway.

Wonderful trip to Mystic Mountain

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent part of our 1st wedding anniversary at Mystic Mountain from June 28th-30th, 2016. We had a wonderful time at the house and around Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We spent part of our time in Arkansas and Tennessee before arriving in North Carolina and I wish we would have planned the whole trip for Maggie Valley, NC. The area is breathtakingly beautiful.

The house is very secure, comfortable, clean and in a great location surrounded by trees with a small stream nearby, a very peaceful setting. There is a view of the mountaintop from the front deck. The master bedroom is a good size and so comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is in the house, from dishes, pots, seasonings, BBQ grill, blender, etc. Donna and Mark were just a phone call away if we needed anything. Donna recommended breakfast at Joey’s Pancake House and we are so glad we went, it was delicious. Our stay couldn’t have been more comfortable or enjoyable and we look forward to going again.

Our stay at Mystic Mountain

  • 5 of 5

There were 4 of us that stayed at Mystic Mountain. The house was very clean and was everything we needed. We loved sitting out on the porch on the rocking chairs. It is close to Maggie Valley and enjoyed eating at the local restaurants. We rode our motorcycles during the day and relaxed at night. There was room in the driveway for truck, 2 motorcycles and the trailer that we hauled the motorcycles on. It is a nice private area.

It was a little adjustment to get use to the very sharp turn right to get into the drive way with the truck. We used the loop with our motorcycles for easier entry into the driveway.

We were very glad it was black top all the way to the house and driveway. We really enjoyed our stay there, our last night it rained. Loved sitting out on the porch listening to the rain, very peaceful.

Would recommend Mystic Mountain!
