Stayed here with 3 friends, so 4 of us total in the group and I'm glad we didn't pack to the 8 like it says it can fit. The common space was not very large so it could be crowded for some people when at the house. It worked for the 4 of us though. First impression was that the decor is very dated , although we kind of got a kick out of that. The place was also smaller than I was expecting, with no back yard space at all. It is located within a small private community, with many other houses of this style.
The Kitchen: pots and pans need to be updated as cleaning up after our meals was very difficult due to the old pans. We wanted to do meals at the house, so this mattered to us. There were plenty of dishes and cups, but no basic kitchen necessities like salt or pepper or paper towels - Being a rental, it seems like a thing to want to offer to your guest. So be prepared to bring ALL of your necessities for cooking(even those pots if you don't like soaking forever after a meal) Kitchen appliances worked fine, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, oven.
Dining area is accurate to pictures, not spacious but workable for the set up, and having some people sit at the bar area.
The rooms were comfortable, with adequate bedding if you need extra blankets. Upstairs in the loft area is where the 3rd bedrooms is located, with the 'master' downstairs. Mixed reviews on the comfort of the actual beds, the ones in the loft area were a bit hard for our liking.
The rental company that runs it is literally across the way and were easy to work with so that was a plus. When we were there the BBQ ran out of propane, which hindered our plans to bbq that evening as it was after hours to contact the company. I told them of the need to get a new tank at checkout and they told me i should have called to let them know. Apparently the 'emergency' line isn't just for emergencies, if that's the number I was supposed to contact them about the tank the evening it happened. It wasn't the end of the world that we could not bbq that evening, but if it happens again after business hours know to call them.
There were some board games in the closet, if there's something your group loves to play I'd bring it along. TV downstairs worked, and there was a DVD player, but no DVD's (and we didnt bring any) so cant say if its all hooked up or not.
Overall, the space is okay and not too far away from stores or downtown just be aware this is a modest place that is not flashy.
