Superb central location with views, amenities, comfort and convenience; this 1br at Der Steiermark has everything you could possibly be looking for on your Breckenridge vacation. Situated just off Main Street, this condo is within walking distance to the base of peak 9 making it an easy walk to the slopes. There’s free underground parking here but you really don’t need a vehicle when you’re based in the heart of the town, just ½ a block to all the shops and eateries. Don’t feel like walking? Then get cozy in the onsite hot tub, take the free shuttle bus from your doorstep, or just relax with a margarita at the onsite Mexican restaurant, Mi Casa. These 2 bedroom condos sleep up to 8 people making them exceptional value for money in an outstanding location.
Inside this unit you will find a warm and inviting interior, starting with the open kitchen/living room which offers a large flat screen LCD, a wood fireplace, vaulted ceilings and windows with a great view of town and the ten mile range. The kitchen is well sized with updated appliances, and complete with every accessory you will need to prepare your group meals. The comfortably furnished living area leads out to a private deck which gives wonderful views of the Dredge pond, the Blue River and out to the Breckenridge ski area. Upstairs you will locate a cozy loft with 2 twin beds leading into a large master bedroom with a queen bed and separate bathroom. There is the added benefit of an inside washer and dryer in this unit. On the lower level is the second bedroom with a queen bed and plenty of space and storage. This Der Steiermark offers wonderful amenities, plenty of space, cozy surroundings, great views and excellent convenience, all at a great value.
Each condo comes with 1 parking spot. YOU MUST HAVE A 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE FOR BEST ACCESS FROM THE GARAGE IN THE WINTER/SPRING MONTHS.

The location was perfect with easy access to tre Quicksilver lift on peak 9 and right off Main Street where you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. However, the condo was VERY outdated and the living room furniture, as well as the beds, were very uncomfortable. You also cannot control the temperature so it was very hot unless you opened a door or window. It was very small; so while it easily slept our family of five, there was not much room to hang out at night or even sit down to eat. The ski rental shop was conveniently located in the same building and there is a good Mexican restaurant onsite. The down side is your condo smells like Mexican food at night. And, the tenants below this unit, put a note on our door to not walk around in our ski boots. They even came up to complain one night when we had another family over for dinner. We are not a loud party crew so I think having a younger crowd stay here could be a problem w noise. Our trip to Breck was amazing. Great skiing and LOVE Main Street. The condo was mediocre at best.
Our family of four stayed at the Der Steiermark property for 5 nights and four days. The location is perfect. At the property manager's recommendation we rented our equipment right downstairs at Blue River and then were able to walk right across the street to the Quicksilver lift every morning (and I mean right across the street - close enough that our kids could carry their own equipment to and from the lift in the five minute walk!). You are right in town, so food and shopping are all around you.
The condo itself was clean and is well stocked for cooking and comfortably can sleep 4-6 people. It definitely could use a refresh, but we didn't go to Breckenridge to sit around the condo.
