We loved this place. Easy walk-in access to shoals. Picturesque common area and beautiful view of Sugarloaf Mountain. Already planning a return visit with grandkids. Everything was wonderful!

Wonderful family weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We took a short family getaway to celebrate my daughter's 9th birthday. It was perfect for our family of 6. (2 kids, 2 grandmothers, and 2 parents). My husband loved being able to fly fish right outside our door, and the kids caught one fish right after the other which was very exciting for them. The grandmothers loved watching and getting in on the action too. We brought our ski boat for skiing in the lake not far away, and the house had a nice parking field with plenty of room for it which we could see right outside the front door. The cabin was decorated very tastefully, and the kitchen had everything we needed with the exception of a hand mixer to make a cake. But Walmart wasn't far away for anything you may forget from home! There was plenty of room, the beds were comfortable, and Deb was very accommodating. My kids have been asking when we can go back, and my daughter has already said she'd like to spend her next birthday back at the cabin!

You have to come stay here!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here twice now and loved it each time! We stayed here over the Thanksgivining holiday and had a wonderful time. Deb was wonderful to call and make sure we made it OK and see if we needed anything. I am a fly fishing guy and loved the fact we could walk out and fish as ofter as we liked and the fishing was fantastic. We also would go down by the river to the fire pit to build a fire, make smores and tell ghost stories. This time we even used the small boat and paddled around on the small oxbow lake by the cabin in search of ducks.

The cabin is in perfect shape, well decorated and very spacious. You are also close to town, grocery stores and several great restaurants like Cafe Klaser directly across the river. Normally people would visit during the summer and stay closer to the lake and bring a boat but the first time we visited we stayed here and used the boat at Dam Site marina. As the cold water comes down the river the area of the house is a good 10 degrees cooler and a nice break from the heat.

We will definetely return here and wish we could visit more often.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful surprise we found for our 4th of July getaway. The beautiful cabin was a 2 story 3 bedroom home that was decorated in Rustic motif. The Spic and Span fully equipped kitchen was awesome. We were merely 2 miles from the little red river where we hired a fishing guide and had such a fun morning catching our limit in trout. We were only a few miles from quaint stores in Heber Springs for leisurely shopping. It was just the rest that we needed for the weekend. Deb was very cordial and easy to work with. We could not have planned a more relaxing weekend.

Texas Family

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here in July 2011 and we absolutely loved it. It was very clean, comfortable and accommodating. The scenery was awesome and the grounds were very nice. We fished, played horeshoes, watched the geese, and took advantage of a camp fire at night with a cool breeze coming in off of the water. The lake was not far away where we rented a ski boat for a day. That was a blast! There are alot of different places to go to sight-see in Heber Springs. Everything you need is within 10 minutes including Walmart. It is a very nice place to go to "get away." We are already making plans to return next year. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.
