There are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Conveniently, there are 2 exterior doors to the apartment - 1 in the living room and 1 in the master bedroom - making it ideal for couples or families traveling together.

Comfortably appointed with everything you need to make this your Tucson home, the casita has been completely renovated. There are saltillo tile floors and original artwork throughout. There is off-street parking in front of the apartment and a beautiful, private yard with table, chairs and grill for enjoying the outdoors.

Short or long-term rental.

The casita comes completely furnished, with WiFi, flat-screen TVs, cable, 2 DVDs, CD stereo that is MP3 compatible, washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, ceiling fans, central heat and air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped, including stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, cooking accessories, dishes and silverware.

The casita sleeps 4-6, with Queen-size beds in both bedrooms and a Queen-size fold-out sofa in the living room. All bed and bath linens provided. Rent includes all utilities, cable TV and wireless internet service.

Located in the heart of the West University Historic District, 5 blocks to the U of A campus and 1 block from the 4th Avenue retail district. Walk to downtown, restaurants, shopping, and arts events at the University. Within 10 minutes of Reid Park, home of the Tucson Zoo, the Randolph and Dell Urich golf courses, and a lovely outdoor pool and Rec Center.

All outdoor activities abound, or just enjoy sunny Tucson from the private, walled yard. Porch/patio is perfect for outdoor dining or just basking in the sun.

If you like, we can do a pre-arrival shopping of food and beverages on a cost/hourly basis. If you will be here for any of the holidays, we can also supply decorations and have the place festively adorned for your arrival on a cost/hourly basis as well.

What a great little casita!

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend staying in this sweet little casita nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood. I stayed during the month of August while I helped my daughter move into her dorm at the U of A and a 2nd time in the month of Oct. All I can say is the AC worked splendidly, the beds were comfy, the kitchen was loaded with all your cooking needs, and the private court yard was a nice place to unwind during the evening. The casita is blocks away from University Blvd. and 4th Ave. where you will find amazing eateries and shopping boutiques. The pictures don't do this place justice! Susan is a great host who will answer all your questions. Give this little casita a try...you won't regret it!

Lovely feel at home apartment

  • 5 of 5

We arrived in Tucson after a long, late night flight and were exhausted. We opened the door to this lovely gem and breathed a sigh of relief, we felt at home. The location is very convenient, and even though it is so close to the lively district it is very quiet. There are some staples in the cupboard, we were thrilled to be able to make a cup of coffee and tea and even have honey in it before leaving the next morning. The bed is comfortable, the lighting very good. Our only problem was that there were no regular chairs. All chairs are high "bar type". That gets uncomfortable if working on a laptop or that type of activity for any length of time.

We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Tucson who wants to be near U of A or the downtown area. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Close to University of AZ campus - Great find!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband is a Univ. of AZ Wildcat alum and a huge sports fan. We made plans with Univ. of WA friends last year (after the Wildcats lost to the Huskies) to travel to Tucson to watch the rematch. As the game date drew closer, we discovered this "rematch" fell during UofA's "Family Weekend" and all hotels near the campus were booked up months in advance. My husband can be tough to please and is leery of vacation rentals. He prefers to stay at Hilton or Marriott hotels where he knows what to expect. Although he had his doubts, this place won him over!

The home is conveniently located close to campus. If you plan to visit the campus - this place is PERFECT! We were able to walk to campus (10 min walk), to the football stadium (20 min walk) and even caught the "Red vs. Blue" basketball game at McHale Center. There is a wonderful shopping district near campus, great restaurants (highly recommend Gentle Ben's Brewing Co.) and happening places for "night life" all about a 10 minute walk away. There are also some additional dining options & an awesome cafe/organic foods market just a block away.

The rental is tucked back in an older neighborhood and could be a little bit tricky to find after dark, but we were lucky and found it quickly. I felt very safe/secure, as the rental has an exterior locking gated entrance through the yard which leads to the home. Also, the home has those wonderful "security screen doors" that are popular in AZ. The home was clean, nicely furnished and had updated bathrooms & kitchen. The beds were quite comfortable. The home has a patio in the fenced yard with beautiful outdoor furniture and a gas barbeque grill. We had plenty of room and didn't feel we were tripping over one another. There is a TV in each of the 2 bedrooms, and one in the family room, with the cable listings provided. The home has secure wireless, with the access code provided. Surprisingly, the home's location was quiet and peaceful, even with the close proximity to businesses.

I really can't think of any "down" side to this rental. The owner took great care to make sure everything you'd need is provided. I wish we would've had more time to enjoy this lively little find. We will definitely stay here again the next time we travel to Tucson!

In case you're curious, the Wildcats beat the Huskies 52 -17. Our UW friends are eagerly awaiting the next "rematch" in hopes their Huskies can try to beat the Cats!

Best Family Home Base Ever!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for Christmas 2011 and had the vacation of a lifetime. The home was cozy and the perfect layout. The owner, Susan, was easy to communicate with and even decorated the home with beautiful Christmas decorations. The location of the apartment is perfect for walking to 4th Ave and University. I hope to come back very soon.

Great Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Tuscon and we had a wonderful time staying at this apartment. It was a great location, it was very clean, and the amenities were perfect for us. Also, Susan provided excellent customer service both before and during our stay. We have two very young children and there was more than enough space for our whole family.

Not only would we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tucson, but this would be the only place we would stay if we came back to visit.

Our favorite place yet to stay in Tucson.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I come to Tucson a couple of times a year, to visit our daughter and her family, and have stayed in a few vacation rentals in the area. This apartment is our favorite by far and will be our first choice from now on. The apartment is very nice; very clean and well-maintained, with all the comforts and conveniences, stylish and homey at the same time. The location is nice, in a quiet area of historic homes, feels safe, and is within convenient walking distance of the 4th Avenue restaurants and shops, downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona and Main Gate Square. The Reid Park complex (public golf course, pool, zoo, walking path, etc.) is just a short drive away, as are stores providing common necessities, such as Target and Safeway. Truly, for an extended stay in Tucson, I just don't think you could find a nicer vacation rental!
