We've spent our whole lives recreating in Vail and the Rocky Mountains skiing, biking, golfing, camping, flyfishing, etc. We bought our unit with all of this in mind as we wanted a great place to spend our weekends and holidays. We feel so fortunate to share this wonderful spot with family, friends and other guests.
The Owner purchased this townhome in 1990
We bought this unit in East Vail because of the beauty of its surroundings, the close proximity to 5-6 world class ski resorts (Vail, Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin), easy access from our home in Denver, access to the Vail Racquet Club and all of it wonderful amenities, and the unlimited number of summer and winter activities this area affords us and our guests.
Our unit is one of few duplexes in the Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort with a creek-front location and unobstructed views of the lake, park and surrounding mountains (vs. the parking lot). We've also expanded our deck to create more indoor/outdoor living...and sunshine.
Hiking, cycling, mtn biking, flyfishing, and snowshoeing are accessible right out of our front door.
We are a 2-minute walk to the fitness center and restaurant, the park and the lake...and the bus stop with service direct to the ski slopes, Vail Village and the rest of the Vail Valley.
It's a 5-mile bike ride West into Vail Village on the dedicated bike path paralleling the Gore Creek and Vail Golf Course along the way. Going East from our unit, the frontage road dead ends into the dedicated bike path heading up to the summit of Vail Pass and down into Copper Mountain/Leadville/Breckenridge, etc.
Our unit is equally well suited for both family and adult-only vacations.
We spent two wonderful weeks at this town home over the Christmas holiday. The layout is spectacular for our family - we love having the two bedrooms/two baths downstairs for the children and the master on the upper level. The kitchen and living room are lovely (and well equipped), and the mud room as you enter keeps everything as gorgeous as the owner has it when you arrive. Harriet made us feel right at home, and we will definitely be asking to rent the property again.
We had a wonderful stay in this town home at the Vail Racquet Club. We were four adults and two young children, ages 2 and 4, and we all had a great time. The location is the best in the club, with the deck, (and bedrooms) overlooking the creek, a pond, a park, and the mountain beyond. The deck is large, with plenty of room for six people to sit around the table. The hummingbird feeders on the deck were actively used, and brought nature closer to us as we ate dinner outside. Now, on to the inside. Each bedroom has its own modern bathroom, a big plus. One bedroom has bunk beds - the 4 year old's eyes opened wide when she saw that, and quickly climbed to the top bunk. The kitchen is modern. Since it was one of the adult's birthday we even baked a cake and frosted it. The only thing missing was a mixer. Came out perfectly. The living room is roomy and comfortable, with two couches and a chair. The owner is a delight to deal with. I found that all of my emails and texts were returned within two hours. Couldn't ask for a nicer host. If I find myself returning to Vail I will definitely stay here again. The other family traveling with us live in Colorado, and have been to Vail many times. They came away impressed with the town home and its location. It's one exit away on I70 from the village, about 4 miles. There's even a free bus to the village that stops a short distance away, and runs hourly. This place is highly recommended!
This was my first time staying in this lovely town-home and I can tell you that it won't be my last. This was our first trip to Vail and the owner made sure that my family and I experienced Vail and all that it had to offer. Now, let's talk about how great this place is.
I am a kitchen person and the kitchen was fully stocked like I was in my own kitchen at home down to having the right spices I need when making dinner. My family and I felt right and home in this cozy and comfortable place while making a fire at night just so we could have s'mores!
All of the beds were comfortable, no lumpy mattress in this place! All of the bathrooms were fully loaded with enough towels that I didn't have to do laundry every day.
The view from the deck while sipping my coffee each morning is something that I wish I could look at everyday, it was truly breathtaking.
The communication with the owner was beyond amazing and even while we were staying in there home. They wanted to make sure that we had everything that we needed and that we were having a good time. They don't do that at the Four Seasons!!!
My family and I made great memories on our first trip to Colorado and one of them was this amazing place that we had the privilege to call home for a week.
Thank you so much for a much needed great vacation
I brought my three kids and stayed at this lovely place. It is well located - the creek is behind the unit (nice to hear it when you wake up in the morning), close to the Racquet Club, a huge gorgeous park is right across the creek and you can see the park from the townhouse. If I couldn't go to the park with my kids when I had to work, I could let them go and watch them from the porch. There are so many activities for adults and kids - biking, water rafting, zip lining, horseback riding, golf, etc. We absolutely loved it! The townhouse is very nicely furnished and the owners were delightful to work with. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend!
We have stayed in this place many times over the years and have really enjoyed our stay every time. The place is very nicely furnished with everything you need, it's location is the best of any at Vail Racquet Club, and the owners are very nice to deal with any very accomodating. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to vacation in Vail.
