Condo, 2 Bedrooms (Sleeps 4 total); 2.5 Baths; private balcony

One short flight of stairs up from the complex's grassy courtyard and cooling pool, you enter our recently remodelled 1200 square foot condo which overlooks both. Opening the door you find a spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. Filled with soft filtered light from the floor to ceiling balcony sliding glass doors, the condo has traditional Mexican decorative touches integrated alongside sophisticated contemporary furniture.

We have renovated the condo several times in the past seven years and have created a calm sophisticated environment. Spacious and airy, it is beautifully furnished and decorated in both Mexican and International styles. We have avoided the usual basic tourist decor: it is- to quote others in the complex - quite ‘beautiful.’

As I am an artist, we have focused our attention instead not only on the ambiance we wanted to create but especially on integrating artwork into the space. You will find traditional Mexican folk art and pottery pieces as well as drawings and etchings by internationally known artists. Because his work is smart, chic and appealing, we have started to collect drawings by local artist Roa, whose work is handled by galleries here and in other locations in Mexico, in New York and in London. The two large bedrooms are located off the living room. They are away from either of the complex's street sides which makes them immune to any disturbance from street noise (which might be a problem in other rental units). Each bedroom has its own attached full bathroom with which includes a large walk-in shower. Both of these rooms are furnished with queen size beds with Sealy pillow top mattresses.

We are sure a relaxing week or two spent in our condo will take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday work life, so you can just get on enjoying yourself and not worry about much of anything at all.

The living room and each of the two bedrooms have a ceiling fan as well as individually controlled air conditioning units to keep things cool and comfortable when the sun is at its hottest.

Our bright, spacious and exceptionally clean second floor unit, B208, has everything you expect from a quality vacation rental property but at a rate that is nowhere near that of a full service hotel.

We know you will find Playa to be as fantastic as we do - and are very sure your time spent at our condo will help ensure you do so.

What makes this condo unique

Location, location, location! Not only is our complex centrally located in Playa but our particular condo is centrally located in the complex.

Within a few blocks of our condo, you will find numerous local restaurants of exceptional quality serving everything from the best cuts of meat (the famous 'El Fogon' which is written about in most guidebooks is just two blocks from us), to the freshest of seafood (the best ceviche in town is also just down the street), to organic smoothies and meals served at Playa's only 'health food' market (again, just two blocks away). As we are also in the area of Playa where European tourists and especially Italian tourists like to stay, you will find all kinds of bistros and fine European restaurants within a short walking distance. There are several Italian dining establishments just down the street and numerous coffee houses as well.

Just one or two blocks away from our condo's location in Playa, you will the Mega hypermarket, which is similar to Walmart only larger. Their in-store supermarket is phenomenal as well as their selection of clothing, electronics, houseware, etc.. If Walmart is more what you want, it is only four blocks away.

Playa's two main attractions are its beaches and Fifth Avenue. Mamitas Beach is the closest beach to our condo - just a few minutes walk away. It is one of the most sophisticated of the beaches in Playa where you will find clubs and restaurants right on the beach each offering beach loungers rentable by the day or hour.

Excellent 2 bedroom Condo- home away from home

We have stayed for a month in this comfortable Condo the previous 2 years and are booked in for another month in March of next year. The security personnel are friendly and helpful when you need a hand. The condo is clean and well equipped with appliances, tv, internet and more. Location is perfect as there is a Mega store a block away, fish markets, vegetable markets, restaurants and laundry services within 3 blocks. The condo is equipped with a new washer and dryer and the balcony is a great place to relax. This 2nd level condo is quiet and the pool is refreshing and well maintained. Most of the residents in the condo complex have been coming back for several years and usually stay for 3-6 months. The beach and Mamitas Beach Bar is a leisurely 5-7 minute walk. 5th Ave is 4 blocks away and the street that the condo is on is quiet and not subject to a lot of traffic. The property manager is very helpful should you need any information on Playa or any concerns with the condo. The condo owners are very friendly and decorate the condo with beautiful paintings, pictures and ornaments. We have stayed at other places in Playa and this condo is the best.

Our favourite restaurant in all of Playa is just up the street three blocks north, Aguachilles. The freshest and most favourable ceviche anywhere!! We are also glad you appreciate the decor of the condo. As an artist myself, I always want to have paintings, prints, interesting ceramics, etc. in my living environment. In the condo we have included not only traditional Mexican arts and crafts but high-end contemporary Mexican art as well. I think this is a feature that separates our condo from many others. I am sure you are anticipating your month at the condo in March of 2016. Enjoy the sunny days and warm tropical nights. (Writing that last sentence makes me wish I was there right now!!)

Perfection. Exactly what I was looking for!

Myself and a friend wanted a nice place near Mamitas to stay for BPM for a few days. I contacted Jack on vrbo, and he made my experience easy. The whole place is completely immaculate as can be. The pictures really do speak for themselves. I especially loved the balcony and kitchen. My favorite part about the place probably was due to the fact that the Mega grocery store was a block or two away. The best. Thanks so much.

very nice condo

Very nice welcome by Alex (manager) with all informations needed. Clean, spacious, well appointed

condo private on second story. Very secure with 24 hres security staff. 10 minute walk to Walmart or

to beach and 5 minute walk to Mega and 5th avenue. Transportation simple (bus or taxi) close to condo.

Can't be better located, will certainly return if condo avaliable. Thank you for a very nice month of vacation.

Great condo

This was the perfect condo for our vacation. Great, safe, central location. Security staff are friendly and helpful, and the property manager Alex is great. The condo itself had everything we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this great condo for anyone wanting to stay somewhere much better than a hotel. Close to Mega and Walmart for shopping and just a short walk to the beautiful beach in Playa. Can't wait to book again for our next stay!!!

Nice relaxing stay at Margaritas II

We very much enjoyed our stay at Margaritas II. The condo was very spacious, clean and well appointed. It certainly beats staying in a cramped hotel room! The unit is very conveniently located – a block away from the market and coffee shop, and only a short 10 minute walk to 5th Avenue and the north beaches, including Mamitas beach club. Hope to be back again sometime soon.

We first arrived on the bus from Cancun, not knowing what to expect but having heard a lot of positive things about Playa del Carmen from word of mouth. Within minutes of walking down Avenida Quinta (Fifth Avenue), the main tourist pedestrian street, my wife and I turned to each other and said; “This is it”

Our feelings about Playa back then ten years ago have not diminished at all. On the contrary they have been strengthened. From a lazy little fishing village, it has grown into a sophisticated tourist mecca with luxury boutiques, fabulous restaurants, great beach clubs and endless activities to enjoy. Days spent suntanning on the white sand beaches or engaged water sports are contrasted by nights spent dining at or perambulating along Agenda Quinta which now is the exciting and even glittering focus of all things Playa.

A few blocks west of Quinta is our condo. Situated in an ultra-safe location in the tourist zone, we purchased it seven years ago after looking at many others around town. We liked its more quiet location slightly off the main tourist streets, the ambiance of the complex, the pool and grounds, the super cleanliness of everything, the spacious condo layout itself, the nearby shopping and dining…I could go on.
