I moved to Montana 27 years ago to live near Glacier National Park. I love to hike and Kayak
amy rex purchased this house in 2000
This property has a Montana Charm to it. A lot of rock and wood, and surrounding woods. It feels very private for only being 1 mile from hwy 2. It is centrally located to all the fun amenities this area has to offer. I can load my kayak on my car and floating on the Hungry Horse Reservoir in 20 min. and the sun stays out till 10:30 pm.. Why this property, because it is peaceful, charming, clean, fun, spacious, and has VACATION written all over it.
Fully furnished with DVDs, Games, Puzzles, and Books. If you have kids, the yard is completely fenced in, It is so quiet and tranquil on the front porch. Great place for coffee or tea in the morning. It is very spacious for large groups.
We stayed at this place for 4 nights. We had three families with children. It is a pleasant experience for all of us. The house is nice, clean and cozy. It is located very conveniently to Glacier National Park which we spent 3 days there and other local stores. The host is very nice and accommodating. She has everything you need, for hiking, kayaking and even some bear sprays. Thanks Amy for giving us such a wonderful memory.
A wonderful home to come back to after a long day out and about. We were a group of 11, all over 18. We never once felt crowded or that we were fighting for space. The location is perfect if you want to explore Glacier as well as the surrounding communities. The house was clean and had everything you need. It also had a great fire pit that could be enjoyed.
We thoroughly enjoyed renting this large home for our 3 family group....total of 6 adults, 5 teens and one pre-teen - everyone had enough space and there were great common areas to hang-out. We absolutely LOVED the porch, spent many a morning just sipping coffee, evenings we had wonderful dinners....just fabulous.
We also really appreciated the extras - badminton got a work out, we did a few camp fires, the massage chair was much appreciated (especially after long hikes in Glacier...), and we used the kayaks frequently.
A number of members of our party love to cook and we found the kitchen to be quite well equipped for our culinary adventures.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful property, Amy! If we are back in the area with a large group we would love to rent this property again.
My family stayed in this beautiful and spacious home and will recoomend to friends who are headed that way. Close to everything you need, yet off the beaten path, so very quiet location. The kids enjoyed volleyball and badminton, along with challenging us all to air hockey. The only problem we had was the fact that we had to leave. The house is cozy and comfortable.
I love the fact that Amy was upfront about problems with WiFi...not her fault as it is the provider, but we did not head that way to connect with the internet so it was no problem for us.
If we come and stay here again with more people, we may look into renting the smaller cabin on the property as well.
The host Amy is very nice accomodating and great to work and communicate with!
We had a wonderful stay at this unique log and stone home. Very spacious with plenty of beds and bathrooms! We were there during a heatwave, but the home stayed comfortably cool - especially the first floor living/kitchen area. And we enjoyed sitting on the side porch in the afternoons and evenings. Well located for touring the west side of Glacier NP, and quick access to towns to the west. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the country location, while only being a couple of miles from the grocery store.
this house is located 1 mile from hwy 2 on a paved county road. There is a tall wood privacy fence surrounding the property . There is also a gate you can shut to make it more private.
