Florissant House Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6-8

This mountain home sits on 30 beautiful, wooded acres just South of Hwy 24. It sits high on a hill above the abandoned Colorado Midland Railroad from the 1800’s. Nestled in the pines, it overlooks a stream with several Beaver ponds and visiting wildlife. Feel complete privacy with no other houses in view yet easy access to all local attractions. Close to world class flyfishing at Eleven Mile Canyon, Eleven Mile Reservoir, Spinney Mountain Reservoir and the Dream Stream.

The interior features 1900 sqft with vaulted ceilings and large picturesque floor to ceiling windows in the spacious living room. A stone accent gas fireplace with 50" plasma TV above, completes the space. The home is superior in quality, featuring warm colors and comfortable furnishings. With the open concept, it is cozy enough for 2, but roomy enough for the whole family. You’ll enjoy cooking your meals in the large, modern, well stocked kitchen or grilling on the deck. Enjoy the Views from the 3 tiered deck or stargaze after a long day of outdoor activities in the 6 person Hot Tub.

We do keep the driveway well plowed of snow in the winter, however the driveway has a few ups and downs, so we do recommend a 4 wheel drive for the winter and spring months.

Clean, comfortable, in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a great value for the price, it is wonderfully appointed, everything works well, the owners are easy to deal with, and it is in a beautiful setting. My Wife and I have been going there for years, and we've never had a bad time. Can't recommend it highly enough. Super comfortable place to get away, and a better price than anything else out there for what you get. We usually just take a bunch of food and wine and spend a few days sitting in the hot tub and watching movies. It really is my favorite vacation.

Long review but very informative!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Beaver Lodge for our Honeymoon this fall. It was beyond perfect!!! As soon as we get there, we had a note beside the front door congratulating us and welcoming us to the cabin (that just pulled at my feelers!!) Walking into the house, you really get to see how wonderful it is (pictures really don't do things justice) and how clean they keep it!! Smelt wonderful and just had a cozy feeling!! We HIGHLY enjoyed walking around the property and lounging in the hot tub! This cabin is beyond perfect and in a great location!! Just a few miles down the road you can find everything you need. Wal-Mart, Restaurants, Shops and more.. So you feel nice and secluded, but still close enough to town! Only slight downfall that someone may find.. the road noise from the outside is a little more than you may want. Personally, I highly enjoyed it, because even though we were out in the woods, I still felt like if something happened to us, we could reach help pretty quick!! PS: no road noise inside the house!! I have a Nissan Pathfinder and it had no trouble getting to the house. Now, if you go during the winter with snow... I would suggest a 4-wheel drive vehicle just to be safe... It's not so much of a steep driveway, but there are 2-3 pretty sharp turns that could get a little hairy with snow!! Beautifully decorated home that still has that rustic feel... it was perfect for us! We have already decided to book again for our first anniversary (if we don't mover here first lol)! so many attractions on both sides of the house! Can go more "corporate/touristy" in Monitou & Colorado Springs, or stay more "local" in Divide and Cripple Creek. We did a little bit of everything and can't wait to get back to do the things we didn't have time for! You can tell Brad and Laura really care about their customers and the home... we can't wait to visit again!!

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Beaver Lodge for our annual fall getaway. It was very clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi. There was a bird feeder nearby that was host to many different birds, including turkeys! The house was within close driving distance to Woodland Park, Divide and Cripple Creek, which is where we drove to see the fall colors. The owners provided detailed instructions to the cabin and responded quickly to questions about the property. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone who needs to get away!

Beaver Lodge, Florissant CO

What a comfortable place to hang out and enjoy the Rocky Mountains. The cabin is stocked with everything you need for rest and relaxation. You can prepare your own meals or travel 6-10 miles to local restaurants. There are plenty of special places to visit in the vicinity if you like making day trips and spending the evenings at the cabin.

Anniversary road trip

  • 5 of 5

We loved this beautiful cabin, it is in such a great private mountain setting. Great views from the cabin, and from hikes around the cabin. We only had four nights in the cabin, due to our travel plans, but they were the best four days of our trip. We made lots of day trips from the cabin, so many attractions so close! We enjoyed the Cog Railway at PIkes Peak, went to the Florissant Fossil beds, The Garden of the Gods, Cripple Creek, and just driving around enjoying the scenery.

Brad and Laura were great to deal with, and the cabin was amazingly clean, and wonderfully set up. We would recommend this to anyone, And we will stay here again when we come back.

Spring Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Awesome home with great views. Although we seen every element of weather, rain, snow, hail and even the sun, it was still a blast in the Mountains of CO. Loved the drive up to the house on the cut out road. Saw lots of wildlife.
