The amazing canyon and valley views will take your breath away and calm your wearied soul. It's just a stunning 12 mile drive through the vineyards of the Edna Valley to downtown San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly. It's only a couple miles to the historic quaint Village of Arroyo Grande. The beach is a short 6 miles away and Lopez Lake is less than 5 miles away. Wine tasting abounds just around the corner. After living 20+ years in Southern California, our traffic-free 'commutes' here are a blessing.
Inside, enjoy the fun and function of our light and bright 3,200 sq/ft modern home where mid-century meets industrial with polished, heated concrete floors, glass roll-up garage doors into living spaces, extensive library, arts & craft room, fireman's slide pole, 16 foot Caesar stone kitchen island, professional appliances, media room, spa bathroom, game cupboard, foosball and a whole lot more to make your time away unforgettable. With beds for 10 and plenty of room to spread out sleeping bags on couches and carpet, it's a great set up for a large family, 2-3 smaller families, or groups of up to 14.
Completed in March 2010, this is our family's dream home. The property, in the early stages of development, is clean and wide open. There's room to run and lots to do for the kids including tree swing, basketball hoop, trampoline, exploring and tree climbing. In addition, enjoy our outdoor fire pit, bocce ball and horseshoes. If you're so inclined, enjoy our chickens too!
The Central Coast is a wildly popular place to visit, known for its stunning coast and countryside, quaint small towns, plentiful vineyards, numerous outdoor activities, specialty restaurants, and the feeling that you are a million miles away. You will fall in love with our area and with our home – the perfect combo for a memorable escape!

We're a family of six committed to a active, purposeful lifestyle working together to fulfill our dreams. We moved to the Central Coast in 2003 and all agree we're incredibly fortunate to live here! We enjoy the variety of activities available to us here - the beach and the hills, the town and the country, the culture and the casual.
Tim purchased this house in 2010
The Central Coast offers a unique combination of town and country life. It's a great place to live, work, play and do family life. It's also an incredible vacation destination!
We enjoy peace and quiet, a blank canvas on which to paint our dreams, a slice of country life and space to grow.
We had a three family reunion at Wild Hair Ranch and it was super! The house looks like it should be in a Dwell magazine spread - perhaps it was? - clearly the owners understand design. Yet it is not a high design "do not touch anything" type of place - super for kids and a great place to relax. Tim said it was kid friendly and he wasn't kidding! From the fire pole, art room, foosball, ping pong, trampoline, horseshoes, tree house, hammock, chickens, basketball hoop, and outdoor dogs, the kids ranging from 3-11 were all constantly entertained. We enjoyed bbqing and eating both indoors and outside. Close to Shell Beach (Pismo) which was stunning, and SLO. Great house to chill at or explore the area. Thank you so much for sharing your stunning home!
We stayed at this home for my daughter’s wedding weekend. We had the entire bridal party stay with us and it could not have been more perfect! The house was spacious and it had everything we could have needed and wanted. It was decorated adorably and had so many fun activities to keep us entertained. We even got to soak up the sun and enjoy lunch on the beautiful outdoor table. This house was amazing in photos but even more amazing in person! I would recommend any large party to stay here, you can’t go wrong with it!
This property was nearly perfect for a Friendsgiving with three families. All three families are Navy and had spent time together at various duty stations so we wanted to come together for a holiday together. All in all there were 6 adults and 7 children... and we had a blast. The house is well designed for gatherings, while at the same time having spaces to get away and enjoy some solitude. The kids loved being able to roam the property, the *trampoline*, art room, and the fire pit. The adults loved the cosy living area, giant kitchen island, and the fire pit. The house is so close to what you might need (groceries, restaurants) and what you might want (hiking, wineries, beaches). We really enjoyed ourselves.
This was the most beautiful, warm home to spend the weekend of my wedding in! We had the privilege of having our bridal party stay with us there and it was absolutely perfect. Plenty of outdoor fun and activities, as well as an awesome table outside to dine on. The whole house has such a warm and welcoming character to it; beckons for fun to be had and memories to be made. And the homeowners do an incredible job of filling you in on all you need to know, as well as check in to see if you need anything! I would recommend this place to anyone asking for a place to house a big family or group of friends!
We had 3 families stay here with all of our kids and they had a blast! There was plenty of room to let the kids roam free, and it's a great house to just sit and relax. Beautifully decorated and very functional. The kids played on the trampoline for hours and climbed into the tree house. (tree house probably not great for kids under 3, but the older ones had fun) They were super excited to gather the eggs from the chickens and eat them for breakfast. Great fresh produce for our picking and plenty of seating inside and out. It's only a 10-15 minute drive to town, and Trader Joes for shopping. 2 of the friendliest dogs, you'll meet and there's a great fire pit for smores. Can't say enough great things about Wild Hair Ranch, we will definitely be coming back here and would recommend it!
This is a beautiful property with SO much to do on property and even more to see in the gorgeous Central Coast. This is our second stay at Wild Hair Ranch. Tim had very detailed instructions to make our stay comfortable and there were plenty of towels and dishes for our crowd. Loved the hen fresh eggs and the little girls loved the trampoline!
