You could be watching and taking pictures of the dolphins playing in the Gulf of Mexico from one of my two private balconies in my private corner of paradise. My condo, with a breathtaking view, overlooks the seven mile long sugar white sand of St. Pete beach. Condo 503 offers a direct Gulf beachfront, fifth (top) floor condo in Vistas on The Gulf.

This condo gives you one of the most unique views in the building of the sunset as well as the all along the beach from the top floor My vacation home faces the Gulf of Mexico with an unobstructed view. Condo 503 also benefits from being a corner unit with additional windows from which to enjoy the many views of the surf and all along the North end of the beach. The extra windows also provide more natural light and the new screen patio door gives you an opportunity to turn the air conditioner off and enjoy the wonderful tropical breezes. This option also gives you a chance to enjoy the sounds of the waves.

If you have usually stayed in hotels, compare not only the prices but the quality and space you will be getting for your money in my condo.

As of February 23, 2015 I had a private internet connection installed in my condo to provide my guests with a secure, dependable service. You also will be able to make free telephone calls within the United States and Canada.

I take great pride in the cleanliness of my condo. A new mattress and box springs were just delivered Dec. 30, 2015. New carpeting was recently installed in the master bedroom. The living room sofa and chairs were just replaced in March 2015.. I replaced the bedroom television January 2015. I am constantly updating and having everything professionally cleaned. I live locally so it is easy for me to keep up with keeping it in the condition I would want to find if it were my vacation.

This building also happens to be the newest beach-side building designed specifically for condos on St. Pete Beach unlike many condos along the beach that were motel or hotel rooms that have been converted condos.

Staying in my condo with a fully equipped kitchen gives you options for meals including being able to cook on outdoor grills that are on the property next to the pool.

I installed a door for privacy on the guest bedroom which was designed to be just an open room. Many of the condos in the building do not have that door.

My condo is within walking distance of a large major grocery store as well as a variety of restaurants and a variety of shopping. You could easily stay here and not rent a car. You could sight see using the local trolley system and in addition there is a cab system on the beach.

Please note my condo rents for a minimum of one week and a maximum of 2 weeks. It rents Saturday to Saturday only with some exceptions in September, November and early December. I rent to a maximum of 4 persons per stay.

The living room balcony directly faces the Gulf, then wraps around with a panoramic view to the North along this beautiful beach. Remember my condo is beachfront, not just a condo in a beachfront building or one with a partial view from the side of the building.

The condominium is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the comforts of home, including granite counter tops in the kitchen and two bathrooms.

I recently replaced all of the balcony chairs. Each balcony is furnished with two chairs, and a side table. The living room balcony has a lounge chair and the balcony is large enough to move the furniture from the second balcony if you need additional seating on the living room balcony. There is a small eating table on each balcony.

The condo has two cordless telephones. There is also a messaging machine so you will not miss any incoming calls while you are out.

A washer and dryer is in the condo which means you do not have to pack as many clothes or go anywhere else to do your laundry nor pay for the use of my washer and dryer. My washer and dryer are in a closet in the hallway, and not in the guest room, so running it should not disturb anyone. It can be done while you are at the beach :-) There is an ironing board and iron are in a separate closet in the hallway.

There are three HD televisions in the condo with even 3 HBO channels offered on two of the televisions.

One of the big advantages of my vacation home is I purchased reserved parking space, #7, which is not only beneath the building but right next to the elevator for the convenience.

I personally stay in my condo four times a year which gives me the time and opportunity to evaluate what needs to be replaced or added for not only the convenience of my guests, but myself as well.

The condominium building free internet access. I currently are providing my own internet service to provide you with a more dependable secure service. A new building wide service is being installed currently.

An on-site office is open daily, with some exceptions, to pick up your key and address any questions or concerns you might have during your stay. Arrangements for keys for arrivals can be made allowing you to pick up the keys from a lock box on the property.

In another room in the onsite office is a large selection of reading material and games that you may borrow during your stay.

At the pool, there is a large container of beach toys that children may use during their stay.

Beach towels are available in the onsite office. They will require a deposit that is returned when you return the beach towels at the end of your stay.

About Linda Sandvoss

I purchased this condo after having spent many vacations on various beaches around the country. I knew I wanted strictly a beachfront condo where I could sit on the balcony in the morning with a cup of coffee and enjoy watching the dolphins. In the evening I wanted to be able to sit on my balcony with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunsets overlooking the beach. No matter what the weather is, there is something about overlooking the water that soothes my soul.

Why Linda Sandvoss chose St Pete Beach

I love walking long uninterrupted distances on the beach and was looking for a wide, long, and firm sand beach. St Pete Beach met that criteria. I also wanted to be able to walk along the beach to somewhere for breakfast or an afternoon beer. It was important that it was a beach that was good for swimming and water sports.

Another criteria was to be away from the main public access to the beach so the beachfront would not be crowded.

I also looked for an area that met my desire to be close to sporting and cultural events as well as a variety of shopping and restaurants of all kinds because I knew this would be a vacation home as well as a beach get-away. The location of this condo meets all of my criteria.

This particular condo was the view I could only have dreamed of ever having. You cannot see my balconies from any other condo in the building. I was also impressed that this condo does not have a window to an outside hallway. These privacy advantages were important to me.

The building is centrally located which means I can take a shuttle from the airport and not even bother having a car or if I have a car it is an easy drive to and from the airport. There is also a trolley on St. Pete Beach that you can pick up at various stops along Gulf Blvd and goes as far north as Clearwater and the beautiful and exciting city of St Petersburg.

I stay in my condo every three months as my vacation home so all of these reasons are important to me as well as my guests.

What makes this condo unique

The advantages of staying in my beachfront condo vs. staying in a beachfront hotel room or a condo with just a view of the beach are numerous.

When you rent my condo directly through me you will not be charged a resort fee or a non refundable damage waiver fee and you will have a reserved parking space under the building directly next to the elevator at no extra charge. You will not be paying someone to park your car either.

The guest bedroom has a door, which not all of the condos in the building have, and my washer and dryer are not in that bedroom, but in the hallway near the kitchen.

The views are breathtaking and because this is not a large hotel you will not be crowded on the beach in front of the condo. Of course you never have to leave the condo to watch the dolphins or the sunset.

I still pinch myself every time I walk to the balcony and realize this truly is my corner of paradise.

In 2012 a reputable travel company designated St. Pete Beach, Florida, as Top Beach Destination in the U.S. with seven miles of sugar white sand.

In addition to all of the other benefits, this is a vacation home for me and therefore I maintain my condo as I want to find it when I arrive. I also live locally so I am constantly checking and making sure my condo is in excellent condition for my guests.

Beach living at it's best!!

Sitting on the balcony over looking the sugar white sand & blue water of the gulf is what a vacation should be! The condo was exactly as described in HomeAway. Clean & comfortable with a designated parking spot. Elevator ride down to pool, hot tub & the beach. Enjoyed morning coffee & evening sunsets with a glass of wine on the balcony. Grocery store, drug store & many restaurants near by. Enjoyed our week in Linda's condo!!!

Our home in paradis

Our vacation time is the most precious time of the year. We want to relax, take everything easy, eat well, live well and just enjoy life on the beach. This is what we find in St. Pete Beach and especially in Linda's place at Vistas on the Gulf. It's very clean, cosy and comfortable. We appreciate very much the personal touch and care by Linda, as well as the friendly and helpful staff at the premises. Our constant returns speak louder than words.

Perfectly located property - everything you need for a great beach vacation!

We enjoyed our week in this condo. We were searching for a condo with a beach facing balcony - on a higher floor and this one fit the bill perfectly! We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony every day, as well as many lovely sunsets. Besides the chairs and small table, there is also a lounge chair, which was nice for reading.

The building was very quiet - never really heard anyone else. The pool area was always kept very clean and tidied up. The location of the condo building is nice - kind of in the middle of things, but yet still quiet. We had a car, but there are several restaurants you could walk to and the Publix is only about 1/2 mile away (if that).

The condo is well outfitted with everything you need to cook and do laundry (if you want to do those things on vacation!). It was very, very clean upon our arrival and well stocked with linens to last us the week. In the condo, there are also beach chairs and an umbrella - we really appreciated having these already there for our use.

LInda was very easy to work with (we rented at the very last minute) and the condo staff were also helpful and friendly the few times we interacted with them. Made for a stress free, easy vacation!

Entire complex kept to a high degree of excellence

We could not have had a better vacation experience than the one we had last week.

All of us thought that the condo and indeed the entire complex was well maintained, a quiet oasis to truly relax in.

Indeed, we drove through many of the beach communities up the coast and saw none we liked better.

The management staff were courteous, and provided excellent customer service.

We all felt that Vistas on the Gulf is a spot we will return to.

Great Location

The strong point for this condo is the view. Sunsets from the balcony are some of our favorite things. The condo is well stocked and perfect for a couple but I don't think more than one child would be a good fit due to the fact that the second bedroom is very small and has a day bed with a trundle. I can't imagine using both. There are ample bath linens and the kitchen has everything you could need, although the cabinets are full and there is no space for groceries, other than the table. The beach is beautiful and safe for children. We really enjoyed using the beach umbrella and chairs provided in the condo. There are dozens of restaurants within a 15 minute drive and we especially liked Snapper's early bird specials and the burgers on the beach at Sandbar Bill's. The owner is genuinely interested in seeing that everything is satisfactory and is local in case of emergencies when the onsite office is closed. I would consider returning to this condo in the future.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review of my condo. I am glad you enjoyed that view as much as I do. It always makes me catch my breath when I enter the kitchen and go through the living room to the balcony to take it all in. Since I did furnish my kitchen so completely I have added an additional cabinet above the refrigerator and installed a baker's rack for groceries. The second bedroom is not a large room, but I have not had any other comments about it not being large enough for two children or two adults from any other previous guests. It sounds like you enjoyed some of our unique eateries. I just found a new one to recommend this morning, Savory's that is only one half block from the condo. I am glad to hear you are interested in returning and will look forward to hearing from you.

As part of its 2012 Travelers' Choice Awards, recently compiled millions of user ratings, and St. Pete Beach, Florida, was crowned Top Beach Destination in the U.S. With seven miles of white sand to its name, St. Pete Beach edged out fellow Florida contender Miami Beach.

St. Pete Beach was so popular that it even took fifth place (out of 181) in rankings for beaches worldwide.

My condo is conveniently located within walking distance of Dolphin shopping center with shops, Publix grocery store. Also there is a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance.

I have often stayed in this condo without a car. The Suncoast Trolley system runs from St. Pete Beach north as far North as Clearwater. There is also a stop at St John's Village.

Other Activities: Dolphin watching, para sailing, deep sea fishing, skim boats and stand up paddle boards.

The guest bedroom , which has french doors, opens onto the second private balcony with a view along the North shoreline and across to the inter-coastal waters. The closet for the guest room is in the hallway although there is a small hanging rack in the guest bedroom and a dresser. There is a pull out queen sofa in the living room and an available room divider that can be used for privacy when using the sofa as a bed.

I own a reserved parking space that is reserved for my guests that is under the building, next to the elevator. I believe this condo is comfortable with either two adults plus 2 children or four adults. During 2014 the living room and bedroom televisions with new flat screen were purchased as well as two new telephones and new balcony furniture. I replaced the queen mattress and box springs, the bedroom carpeting and have personally added many amenities that will make this feel more like a vacation home, than just a rental condo. I have added a screen to the sliding balcony door so you can enjoy the sea breeze and the sound of the waves....once you turn the air conditioner off.
