The beautiful home and decor just add to the surrounding natural beauty of the setting. Thank you Stephen & Karen for allowing much needed quiet time at your splendid space.
My husband and I spent a weekend at this cabin in March to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The pictures are accurate to what you get and the layout is great with fantastic views of the river. We had no problem finding the cabin and it was convenient to local towns and outdoor activities with numerous trails and state and national parks close by. It was nice to be able to bring our dog too. She enjoyed spending time on the deck watching the wild life and going on hikes with us. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. The only downside in my opinion was the stove/range is electric, but that is probably just a personal preference. Also some items are pretty worn out and could use replacing (pots, pans, towels) but honestly, that is what I expect when renting a cabin. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin!
This is a beautiful cabin right on the river with big windows to fully appreciate all of the splendor. We saw turkeys, deer, and even a bald eagle - just from sitting inside!
Enjoyed the area and friendly people. Nice cabin. Enjoyed the stay.
The woodworking alone is worth the stay. This cabin was great for two couples + dog. Stephen was a wonderful host (via online communication) and had some great recommendations for hiking and the local meat market.
This is my first choice for future cabin getaways.
This place is literally a home away from home. This was our second year staying here and we will be back. It's almost fully stocked with everything for the kitchen. (I cook a LOT) so I brought up bread pans, cookie sheets, cooling racks, a hand mixer, and an extra skillet... but they have everything else you will need. The pictures don't do this home justice. Listening to the river, enjoying the patio, fishing off the edge of the river, nearby hunting, and nice restaurants close by! Steve checked in with us halfway through and even gave us some amazing tips on where to eat and hike. Our two kids absolutely love it here, and the dogs do too! I think all of us just about cried when we had to leave. There is something so relaxing about staying in a cabin with decor like Steve and Karen have. It's very well maintained and kept clean, too. I highly recommend this place. It's amazing! We heard many owls, saw a ton of deer and eagles, and saw some wolf tracks not too far from the property. All the wildlife is so amazing!
