We bought our first condo in The Meridian direct from the builder in 2006. Having had such a positive experience we hoped to share this with others and in 2008 we bought a second unit exclusively for rental.
My partner and I rented the condo with two friends from London for 8 days over new years. We were constantly amazed at how thoughtful and convenient everything was. The smallest details made this condo the nicest place we have ever stayed between HomeAway or Air b&b. The smallest details were covered in the apartment like where to eat and enjoy more realistic local culture. Security was never a concern and the building was wonderfully landscaped in the corridors. It was nice to go back for a swim on the rooftop pool after a day at the beach. Highly recommend the condo for a great trip to Playa Del Carmen.
Me, my husband, and his parents rented this gorgeous condo and had an absolutely wonderful family vacation. The condo was very well cared for and was fully stocked with everything we needed! It's perfectly situated, very close to the beach, and to the restaurants and shops on 5th avenue. We highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a sunny Mexican getaway!
My husband and I rented this beautiful condo from January 15, 2010 to April 15, 2010. This is a wonderful property, extremely well kept with all the amenities that you find in a North American home. Everything you could wish for is provided in the kitchen, lots of dishes, pots and pans, linens, etc. The same goes for the bed linen and bathroom towels. You can literally just pack your own personal items in a suitcase and arrive to find everything you need for day to day living provided for an extended stay. One huge advantage this condo offers is an ensuite washer and dryer – invaluable tools for the long-term renter.
The corridors and open spaces within the building are meticulously groomed by a full time gardener, and the roof-top pool and terrace area is immaculate. The owners take pride in the appearance of their condos and it is obvious as soon as you enter the building. Parking is directly in front of the building. However, we were there for 3 months and never required a rental vehicle. The large supermarkets are a 15 minute walk and the return by taxi ranges from $2.00 to $4.00 CDN.
The beach, a mere 5 minute walk from the building, is spectacular and can provide hours of entertainment watching people playing various water games and sand soccer, etc. The condo has beach umbrellas and chairs that you can easily transport to make your stay at the beach more comfortable.
As outlined in the specifications provided by the owners, there is a large TV, DVD player, cell phone, satellite TV (Canadian and USA channels) and high speed internet access in the unit.
We have visited many condos in the Playa area – you cannot find a better value, more comfortable, secure building than this one, and in particular the unit provided by this owner. Enjoy yourselves and the Mayan hospitality of 5th Avenue!
