About the property

Enjoy the world-class amenities of Wild Dunes Resort, just minutes from Historic Charleston, from our newly renovated home (Just finished mid May 2017). While it is not oceanfront, it sits 2 houses back from oceanfront and has some views of our beautiful beach. A boardwalk that runs beside the house takes you straight to the water’s edge with no more than a two- minute walk. This house sits right outside the back gate of Wild Dunes and comes with all Wild Dunes amenities. It is also very close to the Grand Pavilion - the very heart and soul of Wild Dunes Resort!

This beautifully decorated house has everything you could want in a vacation home. It has four bedrooms and features a large open floor plan for relaxing and entertaining in grand island style. This house has so much to offer that it would be easiest to just go point by point:

Kitchen - all stainless steel appliances, new cabinets with granite counter tops, additional eating area at the bar, plus a breakfast area, all the entertaining pieces you could ask for, top of the line cookware, and every cooking utensil we could think of for the most discerning chef.

Porch - a sitting area under a large spreading oak tree for plenty of cool shade, comfortable white wicker table and chairs, a gas grill for outdoor cooking.

Living room - Large open design, plasma large screen TV, lots of comfortable seating, and stunning ocean views.

Dining room - Table for six and opens to the living area.

Downstairs Sunroom - opens to the living area, lots and lots of natural light, pull out sofa sleeper, stereo, high- speed Internet, and again, ocean views.

Bunkroom - Full-size bed on bottom bunk, twin-size bed on top bunk, TV.

Master Suite - large (huge) master suite with king-size bed, large picture window with great ocean views, Flat screen 21 inch plasma TV, Large closets, large bath with garden tub and separate shower.

Upstairs Sunroom - located off the master suite, pull out sleeper sofa, large 26 inch TV, with built in cabinets, lots of natural light, expansive ocean views.

Guestroom one - Comfortable queen-size bed.

Guestroom two - Two queen-size beds, TV.

*All Bedrooms have 350 thread count cotton sateen sheets and each bed has two down and feather pillows per person per bed. All beds (except twin top bunk) have soft feather beds added with top of the line mattress pads on top. All of this on top of brand new high quality mattresses. Even our pull out sleeper sofas are by Lee Industries with comfortable mattresses! We want you to be as comfortable (or more so) than you are in your own bed at home.

If we have left out anything at all, we just can’t think of it!

Staying within the gated community of Wild Dunes, affords great relaxation for families of all ages. We also offer the Wild Dunes sportscard that will give you access to all of the amenities that Wild Dunes has to offer (tennis, fittness center, ect) Whether relaxing on the beach, sipping cool, island drinks up at the Grand Pavilion, or strolling along winding nature trails, there is something for everyone! You’ll enjoy calling this luxurious house your own during your relaxing vacation to South Carolina’s low country.

Great proximity to the beach and spacious for a smaller group.

  • 4 of 5

Rented this house primarily since it is pet friendly. The kitchen and downstairs area is very spacious. There is a sun room / sitting room off the main living room as well as off the master bedroom upstairs. It was larger than what we needed since there was only two of us staying there. Kitchen is spacious and it has a small breakfast area as well as a larger dining room to accommodate larger parties. Proximity to the beach is very good. It is basically one row from the ocean, and has an ocean view from the master bedroom. House is considered Wild Dunes but is not actually behind the security gate which is good and bad. Drive in access is good because you don't have to go thru security; plus, you have access to WD amenities if you want them. Bad part is that the beach area you have the easiest access to is public, and you have to encounter cars parked along the road as you walk to the beach. This is a minor inconvenience. Only negative as far as the house is that bed linens and mattress toppers described in the listed were not actually being used in the home, at least not in the master bedroom. Again, this is minor, but we were expecting this to be upgraded from most rentals based on how the property was listed. Overall, nice house with a great location. Would recommend especially if you had a group of 8-10 people.

Perfect Spot. Beautiful Home.

  • 5 of 5

Ive never rented through vrbo before as I have always gone through rental companies. A family friend recommended this home and I'm so glad I listened. The entire process felt more "personal" and Beth was very helpful. The house was amazing. We had a group of girls there for a long, relaxing weekend. The house is perfect to have a group together and also spacious enough to find a quiet spot to read or nap. Everything we needed was provided and we really enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed having access to Wild a Dunes and being so close to our own little beach access path. It is just a quick drive into a Charleston and we really enjoyed exploring Mt. Pleasant, as well. Again, perfect spot and beautiful home!!

PERFECT Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect. We had a girls week with a huge group and everyone felt very comfortable. The house was beautiful and the bedding was amazing (and loved the view from the master). Loved the the location. It was soo close to the beach with a little board walk right oiutside the back door. Our beach days were perfect and driving downtown was super easy to go out to dinner. We didn't cook much but the kitchen has everything you need. The only bad part was the week ending and having to go back to reality.

Beth-you were a joy to work with and we appreciate all your recommendations for dinners! You are definitely "in the know" of some great spots to go to! I hope to be back again soon!

Close to the beach, all the necessities

  • 4 of 5

It was a little difficult getting in because I had left the paperwork at home (my fault), but it was difficult to get in touch with anyone once we were there. The house is not right on the road, so make sure you know where you're going and also give your friends directions if they're trying to find the place because Google won't let you know that the house is back behind the others. We didn't use the resort amenities at all, so I cannot speak to that aspect of the home, although when we went to check in it did seem very nice. We did really enjoy having lots of space for family and friends to gather together. We made meals and found the kitchen to be well-equipped with plenty of dining space; the kitchen was probably my favorite part of the house. I believe there are lots of residential homes nearby, so being quiet on the great little back porch is important for the neighbors' sake, as the sound carries. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful.

It was great to be able to walk to the beach in such a short distance with a walkway just outside the side door, and the grocery store was a short drive away. Of course, Charleston is fabulous, full of fantastic food, and is less than 30 minutes away.

I will say that there is not a lot of private bedroom space, so this vacation home is great for families but not so great for lots of single folks staying together; if no one has problems sharing bedrooms/bathrooms, it'll be great! If you do have more than 4 cars (the max allowable in the driveway at one time), you will have to park extras on the resort parking lots, which is a little drive away, so just be prepared to shuttle folks.

We got married on the beach and were grateful to have the house as wedding headquarters where we made bouquets and got ready.

It was a great space to share memories with our family. Everyone enjoyed watching the football games in the spacious living room as well as having drinks on the back porch. The house interior is probably due for some updates in the bedrooms soon (the master bedroom is JUST as bright salmon-pink as the photos suggest), but everything was clean and cozy, thermostats upstairs and down, and extra linens in closets. Our little boy was pretty excited to find fishing poles in the closet downstairs and the resort has a pond with great bass fishing. The little outside shower was a great resource for getting those sandy beach feet clean before going inside (just remember to bring your own beach towels)!

All Previous Reviews Spot On....

This House was a hit for our family....

- Nice house with plenty of space

- Amenities (had everything you need in the kitchen)

- Great help from the owners/mgt on guidance and assistance if needed

- Great location....Not bothered by main public beach access traffic, but direct short route the beach/ocean.

Short walk to Wild Dunes. Not right by the hustle and bustle of the island, very peaceful

- Clean and well setup

- Plenty of sleeping options...especially for group over 12

Great Vacation was had by all!!.....Great week at the Beach and what a way to experience Isle of Palms on our 1st trip there.

Thank you
