About Donna

I have been in the hospitality industry for 45 years.

I have worked at 2 Hilton properties, here in Hawaii and California.

I know the ins and outs of hospitality and food and beverage and guest services.

I like to think I know what the guests will want before they know they need it.

I hope you book with us and have a wonderful experience with us.

Donna purchased this house in 2004

Why Donna chose North Shore Oahu

Why rent from me?

• Our home, has partial ocean views, mountains, parks, and the Pacific Ocean to play in.

• Our home is attractively priced - 30% to 50% less than renting from a hotel.

• Our home comes with a closet full of free goodies - Pack-N-Play, beach chairs, toys, snorkels, boogie boards and fins.

• Our home has free WiFi service - up to 4 devices at once.

What makes this house unique

Waimea Bay has some of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Oahu. It is great for snorkeling in the non-winter months. Jump rock is great fun for the brave. The water is so clear and beautiful. The beach is very large and most of the bay is a sand bottom. Waimea Bay has a peaceful country feel.

House History: the home was originally owned by the late Pro surfer Mark Foo.

Enjoy all the North Shore has to offer: Surrounded by some of the world's most beautiful beaches. The award winning TV series LOST was filmed just down the road. Sea turtles and lots of exotic sea life is seen all along the coastline. Just a few of the activities nearby are: surfing, snorkeling, fishing, diving, kayaking, hiking, and shell hunting. Relaxing and beautiful!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed from March 20th thru April 3rd. Donna is very welcoming and helpful. The vacation home is located in a very quiet neighborhood, which is so nice when relaxing on the lanai and listening to the ocean (which I did every morning and evening😁) My son is in the Army and stationed in Hawaii, so we had our own personal tour guide, but Donna is extremely knowledgeable about places to hike and any other attractions you might be interested in on the island. Also having a beach to walk to is GREAT!!! Since parking is usually hard to find! If my family and I were to come back to the island again, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks again Donna.

From your Michigan family!!!!

House was worth it. Island wasn't.

  • 4 of 5

This rental was clean and nice. The only two things that could be improved on was the bed and temperature. We brought our baby and sometimes she has to sleep with us to calm her down at night. That doesn't leave much room to move. The house doesn't have air conditioning, which seems to be like every other place on the island. Even with open windows and fans it was quite warm. If I was to ever go to this island again, I would go back to this rental. However, who would have thought that I would end up hating it there.

Owner's Response: Aloha and thanks for taking the time to write a review. Wish we could control the temperature but we can't as the tropics can be humid. But spending time on the beaches is always the best way to keep cool and have a wonderful time here in paradise. And yes sleeping with a baby is not always the most comfortable which is why we supply a pack n play for baby. Thanks again and hope you all come back for a visit.

Great location and value! Cute and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were very happy with our stay here! The little neighborhood pocket was very nice and the location was great. Very homey and cozy, and use of the laundry was nice before we left. Of course we were out more often than not!

My only notes for those of feedback for others that may be interested in staying in this home:

1. You really can't walk to anywhere from this location. It's super close to beautiful Waimea Bay but there is no way I'd walk down the highway to get there! Just be ready to drive! :)

2. You definitely can hear the upstairs neighbors walking around. It didn't bother us one bit (they seemed to be gone often, just like we were!) but if you're a real stickler about noise you may want to ask about renting the second floor instead.

Thank you again! It was wonderful!

Owner's Response: Aloha and Thank you for the great response you wrote in our guest book in the house. Glad you all had a wonderful time. As stated on our site, we are a short 2 minute drive to the wonderful waimea bay as no other homes are Beach front at Waimea bay and all up on the rocks. Sorry for the inconvenience. We also state on our site there is noise from the upstairs rental. After looking who was renting upstairs, there was 1 couple for 1 night up there. So I'm not really understanding the noise from one couple for one night. We have the downstairs listed at such a great value price, 75% lower then other rentals or a hotel. Glad you all had a wonderful time.

Nice comfy place

  • 4 of 5

Clean, quaint, and comfortable. Property manager was available when needed and even stopped to visit a few times. We had a great time during our stay. Our only suggestion would be to have proper fitting screens on the windows and doors since there is no a/c. Otherwise, a great rental for our stay on the North Shore! Thanks!

Owner's Response: Aloha and thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so happy you all had a wonderful time here in Hawaii and on the north shore. You did get to see all that you had wanted to do. I did check on all the screens and couldn't find any loose ones. So not sure which ones you mentioned. Thanks again for staying and hope for your return.

Our home is built on a lava outcrop on the south side of Waimea Bay. Near by is an ancient Hawaiian Heiau. Waimea Valley is a very special place with a long history of a thriving Hawaiian community.

During summer months Waimea Bay beach is a peaceful ocean playground. Relaxing along the aqua blue water and sandy beach of Waimea Bay will be a treasured experience.

During the winter months Waimea Bay has some of the largest surfing waves on Earth. This break is where the famous invitation only Eddie Aikau surf contest is held. The first place purse is $55,000 which goes to the surfer who has the highest points. In order for the contest to be held Waimea Bay needs to be breaking at minimum of 20 feet.

Other Activities: Hunting for Sea shells.

Golf: The Turtle Bay Hilton 15 minutes north of our unit features a Arnold Palmer course. This course is located along a beauitful beach.
